TERMS & CONDITIONS

All bulls will sell under the standard terms and conditions set forth by the Canadian Gelbvieh Association.

All cattle sell with appropriate health and consignors will cover costs of health papers for all international sales.

Bulls will be Breeding Soundness checked and delivered to central points across western Canada or to nearest point of entry throughout March. For any buyers that want their newly purchased bulls managed at the sellers place beyond April 1st, those arrangements will need to be made at time of purchase. Sellers will offer to feed and manage those bull until they are required free of charge. The buyer will then be completely in charge of all trucking arrangements and costs.

Bulls returning to breeders places will require insurance.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Innisfail is only 10 minutes away and Red Deer is 15 min away with multiple hotel options. Please contact any of the consignors if you require help with booking accommodations.

Nutrition- Breeding Females: Our cow herds are treated and managed in a tough environment, where they need to be efficient with recourses to thrive. We Do Not pamper our cows just because they are seed-stock genetics they work alongside our commercial females and are asked to thrive on the same recourses. Balanced nutrition and proper mineral has always been the driving link to animal welfare and health, we take that part seriously.

Bull Development: Bull calves are weaned and transitioned slowly from pasture and momma to high fiber TMR rations, that are balanced for micro and macro nutrients. Rations are formulated to maintain modest growth, but focused on superior rumen health, structure and reproductive health! All long yearling bulls go to summer grass to develop and mature, graze late into the fall, they are fit, in shape and ready to work!

RETAINED OWNERSHIP DETAILS

RETAINING 1/2 SEMEN INTEREST - this enables the breeder(seller) to collect semen on the bull at their cost and buyers convenience. Also buyer and seller would be partners in any future semen sales.

RETAINING 1/2 POSSESSION - this enables the breeder(seller) to use the bull in a natural breeding service capacity. This is common when there is different calving seasons or back and forth rotation. Please make contact with seller regarding individual requirements for 1/2 possession bulls.

Ka-Boom 2212 is a son sired by RWG Gut Feeling 9429 that has had been an eye-catching bull right from the get go. Incredibly clean in his lines, thick made, width in rib mass, and depth all completed with a rear quarter that carry’s well down into his stifle. His dam RTG F205 is a top-quality female producing very strong repetitive sale females and top end bulls. This sale offering has a tremendous pedigree standing behind him that is well balanced and simply will not disappoint!

This darker red, homozygous polled RTG Getcha Some G206 sired calf is a cleaner made bull in the front third flowing into a smooth topline with correct rib width and finishes off with a muscle shape that can be appreciated. Getcha Some G206 calves have always been outstanding in both our bull and heifer pens. Krave 2128 will not only provide ideal calving ease but will also lend a hand to growth and dependable gain. Keller 2131 makes a statement in the pen with his bold stature and loud muscle expression. He packs a punch but maintains flow though his length of body and clean skull structure. Keller 2131 is out of a first calver that is clean in her lines, moderate made productive young female. This EGL B101 Lifeline son is a clean made, smooth headed and front shouldered calf. He maintains his profile with added rib shape and rounded hip design. Kraken 2107 comes from an excellent pedigree line, his dam RTG H218, who’s sired by our calving ease bull DDN 4129B is a very well put together moderate framed female with ideal udder attachment and teat size. Kraken 2107 is a sure-footed bull and is well balanced throughout.

Kessler 2104 has been a bull that’s caught our eye right from the start as he continues to grow and develop. He’s thick and long loined with lots of added muscle pattern. Kessler 2104 offers tremendous amounts of hair, large rib shape following with ideal sogginess and a complete rear quarter shape. He carries himself very well and is by far our most favorite Secretariat son that’s on offer this year. Kessler 2104 is a total pound maker that will certainly produce scale busting calves come fall.

This is the full sibling to Kool-aid 2203 and is also a very well put together Secretariat 285E78 son that has the calve ease material just as his full sibling. Kraven 2204 is very clean skulled and clean fronted bull that maintains consistency in rib, top and hip shape that really puts all the pieces together nicely. This is definitely a Draft Picks prospect worth looking at!

Kettles Hot 2213 is an extremely thick built, performance made son sired by RWG Gut Feeling 9429. We certainly cannot get enough of this new herd sires’ line of calves. Gut Feeling 9429 bring so much to the table from smooth made muscle, cleanliness in frame and solid sound structure, his offspring really are some powerful bulls. Pairing this with RWG Daisy 9142, a large framed performance cow that’s packed with longevity and udder quality of perfection really makes Kettles Hot 2213 a top end performance bull! This mating and pedigree provide a good future for investment in this Draft Pick’s sale offering. A RWG Gut Feeling 9429 son that packs a lot of mass and muscle atop a refined structure with added fleshing ability. Kes 2220 is moderate in size but very productive in his weightper-day basis that will undoubtably add value to backgrounding offspring. His dam, RTG Far Over You F106 is a moderate built female with a feminine structure making her a solid made little cow. RTG Kes 2220 has dependable maternal traits combined with above average growth giving value in quality plus carcass grade.

If you have a pen of performance females, K.C 2105 will pair nicely with them with his added calving ease. He’s a bull that will maintain the balance between economical and efficiency traits. K.C 2105 is well footed and balanced overall that will get the job done with ease.

Here is a Hallelujah 246E50 calf that we are extremely excited about – by far the best Hallelujah son to date! His dam RTG Hollie H17 is a true foundational female that has the potential in our program to create generations of valuable seedstock. She is a super clean made yet powerful female with large rib shape and correct hip design. A full package with correct udder development and teat placement. Knee Deep possesses many of these similar characteristics –big spring of rib, deep sided, wide hip, thick topped, the list goes on and on. Needless to say, we’re excited about this calf and the exponential growth he’s already shown.

Kessel 2119 has an extremely good pedigree behind him with his dam being out of a HL SLC Masterplan 58C on the top side and DDN 140B on the bottom side. This A.I calf sired by Businessman 401B ET offers a bigger frame with substantial growth and development throughout. He carries himself well for how deep fronted and long spined he is. His dam RTG H108 is a very eye appealing Secretariat daughter that is extremely clean fronted, has excellent depth of rib shape with a very clean and tidy udder. RTG Kessel is an exceptional Draft Picks choice!

Kuster 2121 is loaded with eye appeal from the front-end profile, smoothing into his shoulder, carrying a very complete level top that is long and expresses exceptional width and rounding out with a very complete hip and rear quarter shape. His dam RTG H204 is a moderate framed first calver that did a phenomenal job raising her first calf from a 75 lb birth weight to a 205-day weight of 756 lbs. This is exactly what we look for in our program and we’re sure you’ll appreciate the same type

This year’s line of RWG Gut Feeling 9429 calves really stand out in our bull and heifer pens - they are just flat out good! Kibitz 2202 offers a strong combination of growth, performance and maternal traits. Going from a 89 lb birth weight to a whopping 805 lb 205-day weaning weight, this is a bull that will sire a set of steer calves with solid pay weight. All while still maintaining the eye appeal of solid build, thick, deep gutted overall natural mass himself. RTG Night Trix Y216 is a big power cow with a solid backing in pedigree sired by the prized Royal Reserve 5066 on the top side and Good Night cow family on the bottom side. There are endless possibilities with Kibitz 2202 as a breed builder bull in either a purebred program or in a productive commercial program to capitalize on his hybrid performance potential.

A stand out dark red RWG Gut Feeling 9429 son, RTG Kahlua 2229, a PC88 bull, is a very well-balanced bull on offer. He is designed with an eye appealing front profile, long spined body and lots of hair. His dam RTG CDC Xtreme A205 who is backed by RWG Xtreme Traction 0521, is a clean fronted, moderate framed cow with excellent teat shape and udder quality. Kahlua 2229 will function well on a maternally focused herd as his daughters will be moderate and will certainly improve udder designs.

Knockin’ Boots 2306 without a doubt has been a pen stand out to us this year. We really appreciate the shape and design of this particular bull with his clean skull, very expressive rib shape and notable deep sog. His dam, RTG Cerveza C375 is moderate in frame yet expresses width in her rib shape, making her a easy fleshing clean made female with a quality udder. This RWG Gut Feeling 9429 sired son has loads of potential with his development and softness throughout. If you’re in the market for profitable offspring then Knockin’ Boots 2306 is a contender worth looking at with his added growth and muscle quality.

This solid made Secretariat 285E78 son expresses tonnes of dimension that makes you look at him every angle. He is thick made, wide throughout his top line and carries well into his rib shape. Kix 2129 travels out smooth with a completeness in his structure. This is a new offering to the 2022 Draft Picks Sale. CDC Farms has decided to include two groups of Gelbvieh influenced commercial F1 heifers. These particular females on offer are from a strong maternal based program that has been built over three decades focusing on foot structure, udder quality, functionality and productivity to ensure profitable weight gain on steers and well rounded, good quality replacement females. All females are sired by Secretariat 285E78. CDC Farms focuses on a complete herd health management protocol. At birth these females receive there Inforce 3, Toltrazuril, Selenium and Vitamin ADE. Once they reach three months of age leading into pasture kick out, they receive there Bovishield Gold One Shot and Ultrabac 7/Somubac. As the fall run hits when calves become weaned a booster of Bovishield Gold One Shot and Ultrabac 7/Somubac is re-introduced. Once the calves are weaned and on feed, they are fed a nutritionally balanced total mixed ration to ensure proper growth and development into sound, fertile females. All of the heifers are vet checked and palpated prior to breeding season. The commercial program at CDC Farms strives to raise the next best productive and profitable line of females to focus on continually raising top end steers but more importantly to raise quality functional cattle that work in today’s beef industry.

RWG Jet 1443 is one of my personal pen favorites with the most natural capacity and rib shape of the Secretariat sons on offer.
