Welcome to Double Bar D “Share the Herd” Female Production Sale. We really appreciate all of our past customers for showing confidence and interest in our program and always look forward to meeting and doing business with new farms and ranches.

After 40+ years in the Purebred Simmental business, we felt we are well positioned to truly “share the herd” with the industry. This is our largest and deepest female offering to date. With over 100 lots on offer, I have kept the comments brief thus letting each lot speak for itself. Study the pictures, videos and pedigrees and you be the judge.

We are sharing the progeny of many great Fleckvieh herdsires such as Thunder, Jeremiah 9022 (Juggernaut), Autobahn, Nickleback, Abesly, Kaimat, Sador, Hamlo 912Z (Herdbuilder) and Red and Black herdbulls such as Captain Morgan, American Pride, King Label, Obsidian and Royal Affair.

These are the bulls we have invested in and have built around here at Double Bar D. We feel the quality and consistency of our calf crops have greatly improved with this herdbull battery and these genetics will be a bonus to other programs.

Having mentioned the above we would be amiss to not mention the new and exciting service sires of the offering, starting with the $160,000 Lawmaker bull from Ashworths. Lawmaker was used extensively on this offering of bred heifers and take note that many of the Fullblood heifers carry his service as well. Rounding out the service sires is Circuit Breaker, Big Red, Star West Pol Batman, Starwest Pol Blueprint, Banker and Jury.

Not only is the catalogue chalk full of great herdsires but we have to mention the donor matrons that have contributed, such as 104M, 117L, 224S, 822U, Caliente, Cruisin Susan, Lady Desiree, 601Y, Hussey 9U, Swan Lake Pepsi 97A, Savannah Gina, Powerdrive Phyllis and MBJ 107U. These cows and others are the backbone here and have made good contributions to the industry.

Folks, leading the sale are 3 very special open heifer calves that will catch your attention. Followed by some stellar bred females, ready to go to work for you. On December 7 in Grenfell, a unique opportunity will present itself as Double Bar D Farms will offer for your appraisal the 2016 edition of “Sharing the Herd” female production sale. With over 40 plus years carefully assembling the very best Simmental genetics, the time has come to open the doors and “Share the Herd.”

The Dimler family runs one of the largest mixed farming operations consisting of over 25,000 acres of grain land, along with 1000 plus Simmental cows. Their passion for the agriculture business is second to none. With the help of a very dedicated team they focus their goals on raising sound, functional Simmental cattle that provide value, longevity and profitabilty for their customers. The breeding program has always been focused on proven cow families, stacking the most premier and proven families for multi generations to produce genetics that are proven and predictable for the long haul. This is what had moved them forward and allowed them to sell Simmental seedstock coast to coast.

The offering will consist of bred females as well as open summer, fall and spring born open females . Many of these females are closely related as Double Bar D runs an extensive embryo program allowing you the chance to purchase females in volume with similar genetics. The service sires will add value as many of the services are from the Double Bar D bull battery and not available on the open market. This will be the first exciting service to the $160,000.00 KWA Lawmaker 59C. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

Certificate of Registration Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

Health All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.

Guarantee Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Simmental Association with regards to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.

Pregnancy Information All serviceable age females have been pregnancy examined by an accredited veterinarian, giving an estimated length of gestation. This estimated gestation period shall be used only as a guideline to calving and is not a guarantee of actual service.
