Junior shows have been influential in shaping our family... now it’s time to give back!

W elcome t

On behalf of the entire Diamond T Family, we are excited to offer this set of high quality females in the 3rd Annual Diamond Mine online sale. In February 2015 we held the 1st Annual Stockmans Choice bull sale and we were grateful for the support of our customers and fellow Angus breeders. Our family is very pleased with the results of the inaugural bull sale, with a ton of interest and clearing out the entire bull pen! We look forward to the 2nd Annual Stockmans Choice bull sale on February 20, 2016. A lot of maternal, 1/2 and 3/4 siblings to these heifers will be sale features along with a ton of rugged, outcross genetics. This year we are incredibly impressed with our offerings in the 3rd Annual Diamond Mine. We have worked hard to put together a group of exceptionally strong females that we are sure to see success from the show ring to the front pasture, where ever their new home takes them. We strive to constantly enhance structural correctness and body mass for productivity while maintaining a look and profile in these cattle that is regarded in the show ring. A lot of small details are already taken care of from the Diamond T crew. All the lots are halter broke, washed, clipped and ready to get to work. This year the sale females will be on display at Olds Fall Classic, October 1-4, 2015. Stop by that weekend at the stall for a drink or the girls homemade bailey’s. We would love to visit about the heifers or runout to the ranch to see their sires or dams anytime. Plan to drop by and view the heifers at our Open House Saturday October 10, 2015; we will be looking forward to seeing you!! Brody, Justine, Calynn & Hiller Gardner Gary & Donna Smith

WOW! Here is the opportunity to purchase the very first offspring from the record setting and renowned Remitall F Rage 9A. These cattle have shattered all expectations in terms of growth, dimension, and power. All reports have came in that the bull calves are huge ribbed with loads of masculinity and herdbull potential while the females maintain broodiness and volume in an attractive package. This powerhouse heifer has as much rib and lower third as many females as you will come across this fall. Huge boned, big stifled and wide pinned along with a gorgeous front end are characteristics that make this brood cow tough to part with but an exceptional breeding piece for her new owner. Join us at Olds Fall Classic and on the Thanksgiving weekend Oct 9-12 to have the chance to secure a profitable piece of the Angus breed.

Sire and Dam to Lot 2 If you are interested in building pedigrees with maternal power as your focus, you might want to pay attention. Bulls like EXT, Kodiak, 6807, Donamere 490, New Trend 315 and females like Wilbar Ruby 955N, Thomas Lucy 6064 and the great Everelda Entense 1137. Thats a pedigree that will build the foundation for power and functionality. Diamond T Lucy 1518 is the deepest sided, soggiest heifer in the offering with length of spine and the look identical to that of her donor dam Baby Black Pre Lucy 506S at Blairs.Ag. This is a female that has been admired for her pure capacity and volume with a solid udder. Here’s a female that will work on both sides of the fence in the show pen or raising top cut replacements.

If pictures speak a thousand words, then the shot of Werner Black Angel talks millions. One of the most talked about cows in the world famous Soo-Line dispersal, this cow was massive made and so much presence. Mate that with arguably the best producer of practical and longevity driven females in recent memory in 004 and you have a winning combination. This mid February heifer is so feminine, attractive and angular fronted with style to burn. This is a perfect heifer for a young cattleman’s starter herd to develop a foundation of quality and longevity built around great cow families and proven genetics.

Sire to Lot 4 & 5 One of the cowiest and brood cow oriented females in the offering. Blackcap 1547 exemplifies moderation and tremendous feed efficient capabilities with her huge rib structure, massive chest and skeletal width of base and length of body. She is out of a very attractive made, picture perfect uddered Dateline granddaughter with a highly graded foot structure. Switching to her genetic advantages, she carries a pedigree with maternal greats such as Leachman Right Time, 6595, VRD and Traveler 004. 1547’s genetic predictors have her based in the top 15% in WW, MK, TM and 20% for YW in the entire breed. Astute cattleman have admired this female for her substance and volume all summer. Brett Wildman was through in August and said “there’s one that will sure make an awesome cow”.

Every operation has cows that are pillars of consistency. The dam of Empire Queen 1539 is exactly that. With 4 straight bull calves all weaning over 70% of her body weight, they all made in into the bull sale group annually every fall and averaging $5150 respectively. That cow has a weaning weight ratio of 4 @ 101 and a yearling weight ratio of 4 @ 100. Now her first heifer, and what a feminine, sweet made cow prospect. To find a female that carries the length throughout her spine all the way into a gorgeous front end and flat, smooth shoulder is hard enough but then add the amount of lower forerib and flank she possesses, borderline unlikely. Jump at the chance to own a Brookmore Upward 70Z daughter. The sons were our highest averaging sire in last spring’s Stockman’s Choice bull sale and his real claim to fame will be his milking daughters next year.

Dam to Lot 6 JL Bardolia 8188 is setting her place in history at Diamond T and in the Angus breed as a maternally oriented, highly productive powerhouse. She has raised feature high sellers for $25,000, $11,500, $7500, $5600 and many more to numerous top purebred and commercial ranchers. Her genetics work in many different facets of the industry. Bardolia 1534 is a product of the massively regarded SAV Harvestor that is producing length, pounds and a practically driven body capacity. This heifer will catch eyes on a halter but demand attention in the pasture as a front line feature herd matron.

With a fresh twist on paper Primrose 1564 is a very versatile breeding option for many young cattleman or cowherd outfits. A few years ago there was a phenomenal herdsire burst onto the scene in Tres Marias 6301 Zorzal from the world renowned Tres Marias herd in Argentina. He was admired by everyone as one of the soundest and most complete mature bulls possibly ever. Two sons of this soon to be breed legend are WAF Zorzal 321U and Diamond T TM Caliente 1253 now owned by our great friends at Tannas Ranches. Diamond T raised this young herdbull to use on heifers and significant BW cows to increase calving ease and vigour, add outcross genetics and the fleshing and doability of the Zorzal line. Primrose 1564 with her April 5th birthdate will be a high indexing, growth oriented female that will be respectable on the halter at a 4-H or junior show and then manifest into a practical young cow.

Lot 7

To select a heifer of the group to put designated as the “show prospect”, it would probably be Diamond T Gammer 1557. Her captivating style starts with an ease of movement blending into a top and underline that are as parallel as 2 new show sticks. She blends very smooth from her shoulder blade into a refined neck and a very Angus charactered head. This young March prospect will turn heads the moment she enters the ring and then bring her back next year with a stout, massive calf at side and you will be the envy of many.

This young April heifer has sure made a lot of friends this summer during pasture tours. Her dam is a moderate 1400lb easy to maintain cow with an udder you couldn’t draw any nicer. These Caliente and Zorzal genetics are backed by so many functional, massively dense made females that the daughters have no choice but to be stout and easy fleshing. Empire Queen 1569 is huge boned, wide based and carries her stoutness into a strong maternal pinset. To add, she is stunning in her profile design. Long necked and full of character. This will be a neat female to follow throughout her career as a show heifer and a young producer.

What an opportunity! Our most consistent red cow family has done it again. Diamond T Amber 1530 is without a doubt the front pasture, herd building kind. Physically she is flawless is every way. Super sound structured in movement and skeletal make-up while being big boned and very level hipped. She is also as extensive in her lower rib cage than any red heifer we have produced. To have all this capacity she exhibits an ultra refined head, neck, shoulder junction to have presence in the show ring. Now genetically she is backed by females that are models of predictable and dependable producers for rugged, stout herdbulls and easy fleshing fault free daughters. We have high expectations for this heifer and we know she will not disappoint.

Take a look at this pedigree. Grandsires like Mulberry, Zama Pine, Boomer and SAV Predominant. This outcross heifer will really make you stop twice when analyzing her. She is so long spinned and maternally driven in her body capacity. Spera 1560 is dark cherry red, wicked fronted and has a brood cow mass and forerib to flank structure second to none. The dam is a remarkable, moderately statured black cow with a balanced udder that flows into her navel and has a gorgeous teet size. Red Brylor Mulberry 30X was a beacon of consistency in our bull pen with sons averaging $5368 over the years and selling to commercial and purebred ranchers like Tannas ranches, Cormilane Angus, Vikse Family Farm Texas, Circle P Ranch, Taylor Ranching and Nielson Land & Cattle. The guess work, pedigree, quality of heifer and prep is all done in this heifer so go ahead and latch onto this marvellous breeding masterpiece.

We purchased the dam from the Willm’s at Wilbar Cattle for her volume, growth potential and ability to convert forage. These 1/2 and 3/4 blood heifers have been very well received the last few years in the Diamond Mine. This year we have chosen the very best. The sire is a Net Worth son that Diamond T raised for his shape and power. The daughters born are outrageous. A ton of depth and super soggy middled with great eye appeal. Anna 007 is out of a sensational Red Angus/Simm first calver with a functional udder. This female exhibits sogginess and substance while she preserves a photogenic style and the ability to catch your eye anywhere. These commercial females are a great investment cause you can show them in Simmental and Angus junior shows to qualify for the scholarship funds.

How to bid online? DIAMOND MINE ONLINE PRODUCTION SALE DATES AND TIMES The auction has been set to run from 9:00 a.m. MST on Friday, October 10, 2014 with the Internet close out to start with the first lot at 7:00 p.m. MST Monday, October 13th. We will then proceed to sell each lot using a 45 second bidding clock until all lots are sold. Meaning once the pre announced time has expired without a bid that heifer will be considered sold to the last highest bidder. A sale order will be posted 9:00 am Monday the 13. If you don’t have computer access, phone in bids will be accepted at the numbers listed on the terms and conditions page. Be sure to register early to allow the necessary time to be put in to the system. HOW TO PARTICIPATE · In order to participate in the online auction you will need to pre-register and obtain a buyer number. · To do this, go to the LiveAuctions website, www.liveauctions.tv, and select Diamond Mine Online Sale. · After logging in the buyer registration form should pop up automatically. If it doesn’t there is a link you can select that says, “register for a buyer number” which is located right under your name in the top right hand corner. · This form requires you to fill out your banks name, city, state, phone number and a contact. · You may register to bid after bidding has opened but please remember that authorization to bid is not instantaneous. HOW THE AUCTION WORKS · Once you have a username and have received a buyer number then you are ready to bid.You will see a screen that is unique to your user ID. · There will be a list containing the sale lots. If you click on a lot the video clip or photo will be displayed to the right. The next bid, current price, proxy bid, and manual bid buttons will be displayed below the video area. This page will react to your bids by stating, “you are in” or “you are out”. · No one else will be able to see your bid – that data is not accessible to the public. · Each time you login, the auction screen will display your personal bidding information.Your auction screen is unique and private displaying your activity to only you. · Remember that you must have the lot that you are bidding on selected. This is where it tells you if you are in or out. It is here where you can also see your proxy bid settings(as applicable). WHAT IS A PROXY BID? With a proxy bid you can enter your maximum bid and then sit back and watch. When you enter a proxy bid amount the LiveAuctions system automatically bids on your behalf up to your maximum bid. If the lot closes out for less than your maximum, that’s all you pay. This means that you don’t have to keep coming back to re-bid every time another bid is placed. This makes it more convenient and less time consuming. It can also greatly assists those breeders that can’t be near a computer or are busy with other duties at the time of the final bidding. Your maximum amount is kept confidential from other bidders and the seller. Even though you can see this amount on your screen no one else can. The LiveAuctions system compares your bid to those of the other registered bidders and the system automatically places bids on your behalf, using only as much of your bid as is necessary to maintain your high bid position. The system will bid only up to your maximum amount as necessary to maintain you as the high bidder. If another bidder has a higher maximum, you’ll be outbid and the system will tell you that “YOU’RE OUT”. But, if no other bidder has a higher maximum you win the final bid. The final close out bidding process: After each sale we receive a few calls after the sale from breeders who were interested in bidding on a heifer but failed to watch the bidding clock and let the bidding time expire. When the bidding starts, the bidding clock will run for a pre announced time (usually 30 or 45 seconds or until there is a bid at which time the clock will rewind to its original 30 or 45 seconds. (Whatever time used will be preannounced). For example: if the bidding clock gets down to 1 second remaining then a higher bid is submitted, the clock will then restart. This rewind process will continue with each bid received until the allotted time elapses without a bid. Then the lot will be considered sold. So if you are interested in a particular heifer be sure to submit your bid while there is still time on the clock. This is where using the proxy bid can come in handy insuring you do not miss a bid! LiveAuctions staff will be happy to answer your questions. Jessy Milne-Smith: (613) 229-1073 Brad Fahrmeier: (816) 392-9241
