This sale marks year two and there is no “Sophomore Jinx” here! The red bulls are deep, stout and full of muscle. The black section is much stronger than year one, with a wide selection of bulls with power. Check out the calving ease numbers on these guys.
Sale Staff:
The female section is a “Wow” group. Probably a super promotion for the ET industry. On each of my visits these girls impress me more.

Partners and Friends!
It is with pleasure and fond memories that I return to the Province I was born and raised in to be a part of the 2nd B Bar Cattle Annual Bull and Female Sale.
Hawkeye Land & Cattle Matthew & Kelly Heleniak 519.537.1451
The Boon family have been advocates and students of the Limousin breed since 1982 when Delaney made his first purchases. Their dedication to the breed extends well beyond the pasture gates via their involvement in various associations on the local, provincial and national level. Furthermore, over their 35 year span in the Limousin seedstock business, they have exhibited numerous champions at major Canadian livestock events and have consigned untold numbers of elite Limousin seedstock to the most prestigious sales in the country. This committment and involvement with the breed has paid long term dividends in the breeding pasture and consequently in the cattle presented to the buying public through this sale.

Welcome to our Second Annual Bull and Female sale! We have come full circle once again and can not thank our customers enough for the support that has been shown in our program. We have felt so much gratitude towards what we believed was a tremendous first annual sale. Since then, we have worked harder and dug even deeper to bring an offering we are very proud of. We work towards producing cattle that are well rounded; that fit the needs of the commercial cattlemen, have the ability to work in seedstock operations, complete with the integrity to be competitive in the show ring. Our goal is to develop a product that has breed character, structural soundness, genetic predictability, eye appeal, projected data and actual data to back them up. As you flip through the catalogue pay close attention to the cow families and productivity of the young dams. Many maternal and paternal siblings cross over on the bull and female portion of the sale. We have brought a strong cross section of bulls for your appraisal. Two exciting pick of the heifer calf flush lots have already caused a stir. The six bred heifers have impressed visitors all summer long. Our one and only proven seven year old cow we enrol on WHE will command your attention instantly. The frozen genetics are sound, proven and profitable. We provide a lot of information and data to help make your selection easier. If you have any questions, concerns or comments please contact us. We want to make sure you end up with the right animal for your program. We know our herd better than anyone, we are in this business for the long haul and we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We hope to see you Tuesday, December 11 at Saskatoon Livestock Sales for our Second Annual Bull & Female Sale. Come for supper, hospitality and to view Limousin cattle!
Wintering & Bull Development Our selection criteria and bull development will not change. We will continue to select our bull pen and develop the same as we have over the years. The only difference is you purchase your bull in December. Payment on bulls: ½ down sale day, remaining ½ after successful semen test. We insist to winter the bulls for you, the buyer, at no additional cost. This will allow us to properly develop them on a balanced ration as we prepare to semen test them and for longevity in mind to benefit you the customer. All bulls going back to B Bar Cattle must be insured. We will semen test the bulls at B Bar Cattles cost the last week in February 2018. We feed a high roughage TMR ration consisting of oat silage, alfalfa/grass hay, Masterfeeds bull development pellet and right now onyx mineral for a gain of 3-3.5 lbs per day. B Bar Cattle reserves the right to collect semen on any bull sold through this sale. The semen collection will be at B Bar Cattles expense and the buyers convenience. Any semen collected will be for B Bar Cattles in herd use only. This also applies to any partners on a bull Our goal is to have you happy with a B Bar bull!

Pick of the Foxtrot Flush Heifer Calves
Selling ing 1 pick pick, with selection to be made immediately after the hammer falls
• This flush is no accident! It is the result of combining some of the Limousin breeds most influential cow families into 1 package. When Matt Heleniak purchased B Bar Foxtrot 21B in the 2014 Solid Gold his hopes were to add females just like her into his herd. So, the decision to part with one of these heifers did not come easy. • I am not going to write individual footnotes for these 7 heifers. They all blend power, eye appeal, soundness and docility into an exciting genetic package. The fact is when you see them in the flesh you’ll realize there is not a wrong pick. These females have the ability to be competitive in the show ring but more importantly they have the ability to be productive, functional, real world mommas. • Maternal Brothers have sold to Triple D Enterprises, ON and Jamie Visser, ON and a Full Brother sold to Conner Bros, AB & Andrew Ranches, AB • Flush brothers sell as Lot 5 and Lot 6 • Owned with Hawkeye Land & Cattle, ON

Pick of the Xotic Flush Heifer Calves Selling 1 pick, with selection to be made immediately after the hammer falls • In the 2015 BMS NYR sale we teamed up with Venture Livestock to buy the right to flush the popular Richmond donor, Richmond Xotic SRD 6X. The only other daughter to be sold off Xotic 6X was a $10,250 high seller in the 2014 Solid Gold Sale to Y2K Land & Cattle Co. She is also the dam of many top herd sires that have all went into purebred operations, Richmond’s retained Zodiac 29Z while 3 other bulls went to Lake Road Limousin, AB and Dry Creek Ranch, BC; Smart Limousin, ON; and Circle T Limousin, SK. • Fame 30F ET has a sweetheart disposition and is very correct in her design and movement. A beautiful front end that ties into her shoulder and rib that flows into a square stout back third. Her sire, Birubi Jupita J15, is our Australian import bull; the maternal attributes are strong coming from the recognized Wunda donor who has 109 registered progeny. • Fortune 41F has been a standout from the beginning; she carries herself in an eye appealing package with length of body, stout wide base and plenty of breed character. B Bar Cognac 1B was our highly sought after 2015 high selling bull and competitive show bull who has stamped his progeny with breed character and females that have milked strong with neat, tidy udders.

• A lead-off heifer of this event no doubt! A maternal stunner who is sound moving, capacious and easy fleshing from the Urban Girl cow family with all the right pieces to make a front pasture cow. Her flush brother was the $21,000, 2017 Reserve National Champion, which sold to South Fork Ranch, SD last year. Paternal Brothers to Urban Girl 52E were highly sought after in last year’s sale commanding an impressive $10,250 average. With an early service to the exciting, homozygous polled, outcross, LFLC Dollar Bill 764D, 52E could be carrying a good pay check. • Owned with Martens Livestock, SK AI Bred to LFLC Dollar Bill 764D :: Due January 18, 2019 (Vets opinion safe) Exposed to RPY Paynes Cracker 17E from April 29 – June 4

• A personal favourite and sale feature! B Bar Nicole 24E is very easy to get along with, stout ribbed, attractive and sound on the move with a big foot. Her dam, B Bar Nicole 13C, is quickly proving herself as a leading producer on her first 2 calves, which have a weaning index of 105. With only two operations that have access to LFLC Dollar Bill 764D semen in Canada (B Bar & RPY), the resulting calf stands to be very exciting, with potential for a strong ROI. 100 doses of LFLC Dollar Bill 764D commanded $21,000 in our sale last year where Rocky Payne shook up the crowd and swept the ring. • Resulting Calf will be Homozygous Polled by Pedigree • Maternal Brother Sells as Lot 1 AI Bred to LFLC Dollar Bill 764D :: Due January 7, 2019 (Vets opinion safe) Exposed to RPY Paynes Cracker 17E from April 29 – June 4
