WELCOME FROM THE

Bohrson Marketing Team The Angus Collection sale has elevated itself to one of the best opportunities we see year in and year out to select some of the very best genetics available. Special herd bulls, elite bred heifers and impactful open heifers have gone through this very sale and went on to make huge splashes within the beef industry. We confidently believe the 11th edition is one of the most unique, diverse and stacked lineups assembled and the amount of opportunity that lies ahead is overwhelming. On behalf of all our loyal consignors and the entire Bohrson Marketing Team, we are proud and excited to welcome you to this great event. We have had a number of influential herd bull prospects sell through the Angus Collection sale that have gone on to elevate respected programs and leave a positive mark, but perhaps the most special one we have seen is the great lot 1 from the Gustafson family at this years event. Gustafson Genesis 3004L is an individual that commands your attention. He will be the first son of Glacier to sell in Canada and is mothered by a special donor cow in Countess 7077. As special as we think this bull is with a huge, huge future, maybe the most unique part of this lot is the fact that 100% of the sale proceeds of this calf will be donated. 50% to the new Agri-Business program at Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, SK and 50% towards a deserving cause that is to be decided upon by the new owner and the Gustafson family. It’s truly admirable to not only raise a herd bull of this caliber, but to donate 100% of the proceeds to great causes. The bred cattle section of Angus Collection 2023 is simply stout. Highlighted by a special young donor cow followed with many herd building bred heifers. This section will feature some of the most sought after pedigrees with a heavy emphasis on dominant, consistent cow families. Many are sired by hard to acquire herd bulls that are kept exclusive and the only way to incorporate those genetics is through a direct daughter. Many carry elite, proven and/or fresh services that are sure to provide a quick return on investment. These cattle are selected with a great deal of stress on structural integrity, udder quality and do ability. They are easy doing, big bodied cattle bred for todays market place and are the type to move into a program and become future cornerstones or donors. We are very proud of this offering of bred cattle and year after year we are pleased with the reports of folks that purchase a bred female from Angus Collection that more times than not, pay for their initial purchase price with the calf that was inside. A great testament to the breeders that make up the bred portion. The fancy set of calendar year open heifer calves has subtly become the “bread and butter” of Angus Collection. Every year when selecting for this event, the breeders hold nothing back and always offer up their herds to enter the best of the best into the sale. Many of the calves selling have already been campaigned successfully with as many as ever division and jackpot champion females selling here. The amount of junior projects sourced here annually that go on to be competitive show heifers that grow into front pasture type or donor quality cows is staggering. This set of calves made available are truly special and highlight so many progress programs operations. Truly the hearts of their herds. Many are the first offering of new, exciting sire groups, many trace back to some of the most elite cows in the entire breed. These heifer calves truly need to be analyzed in person to be appreciated. We are always so proud and grateful to the folks that consign and make up the Angus Collection. Many consignors have been involved since it’s inception and have always had the same great mind set of offering their very best and we truly tip our hats to each and everyone of them for their loyalty and commitment to not only the sale, but the breed itself. We highly encourage you to make plans to be in Olds, AB at the Cow palace December 16th, 2023 for this big time offering of Angus cattle. The hospitality put on by this industry leading group of breeders is second to none and the cattle live up to the hype each and every year. If for whatever reason your busy schedules keep you away from sale evening, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the BMS staff as we would be thrilled to discuss this exciting offering. We hope to see you in Olds. Best Regards,

The Bohrson Marketing Team

“In the beginning…” Gustafson Genesis makes a statement as the first son of Coleman Glacier 041 to sell in Canada. The result of an incredible flush stacked by absolute greats on either side of the border, Genesis himself is the definition of power and Angus character. Not only is he a son of Glacier, the most popular Angus bull in North America, but he is backed by the Supreme Champion Brooking Countess 7077. Glacier was valued over a million dollars when he sold and is an absolute phenotypical sight to behold, with those accomplishments now exceeded by his production record. A Glacier daughter was one of the highlights and most talked about animals at the recent Coleman Angus female sale and sold for $160,000 USD. 1/2 interest in Glacier’s dam sold for $175,000 USD in that very same sale. Countess 7077 is a household name with her Supreme Champion victories in 2019 and her first calf selling for $53,500 to KT Ranches. When you combine individuals of this caliber, it provides an opportunity for great things to happen, and our vision came to reality. An exceptional individual, Genesis is just an end of February calf but he stands in with the January borns. He owns an air of greatness about him, with a presence and character that is enhanced by his muscle expression, extreme center body mass, and deep flank. Genesis possesses a natural athletic ability to move out with soundness and he has great feet. One of our favorite things about him is his Angus character with an awesome skull. We are proud to offer Genesis as the first animal to sell from our Angus breeding program and he represents many of the things we strive to achieve.

We are committed to our faith and supporting others, and we will be donating 100% of the proceeds from Genesis. 50% of sale proceeds will go to the new Agri-Business program at Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, SK and the other 50% will be donated to a deserving cause to be determined in conjunction with the buyer of Genesis. We look forward to working with the new buyer, and are grateful to be part of such a prestigious sale. Selling 100% and we would like to retain in herd semen for our own use only.

KT Countess 3357 is a high quality Emerald Countess combo. The Emerald cattle are some of the most elite and sought after cattle of the 2023 fall with many class, division and overall show champions plus many more highlight and high selling sale toppers. Not only is Emerald making high quality females, the group of brothers to these females will be some of the most exciting to be of offered in next years bull sale season and are the kind that the most discriminating purebred and commercial producer can both appreciate. Brooking Dusty’s Countess 9026 is a female that had been a standout at every stage of her life. She was the high selling female at Brooking as a heifer calf, the calf at side of her 2 time Supreme Champion dam, a Supreme Champion as a bred heifer at the Lloydminster Stockade Roundup, the only DAM, BROOKING DUSTY’S COUNTESS 9026 show of the Covid year, but her greatest accomplishment is now in production. With 30 registered progeny, 9026 has cemented herself in the front donor pen. Many direct progeny and grand progeny highlight the bull and replacement heifer pen. KT Countess 3357 had been a favourite of many visitors at the ranch from early summer. A heifer with extra look, and extension, big ribbed, extremely sound, beautiful lines, this one could be a big time bred heifer next fall, and one you could cement into your front donor pasture once she hits production.

S A V Madame Pride 9824 was one of our top picks at the 2020 Schaff Angus Valley Sale. Her pathfinder dam, S A V Madame Pride 3045, is a maternal masterpiece with femininity, a flawless phenotype, and high milk production. She raised the $200,000 S A V STORM 9602. 9824 joined our donor pen right after the incredible first heifer calf she produced as a two-year-old. She takes on a lot of her dam qualities, being sweet fronted, high milk producing with great teats, and a maternal powerhouse. Her heifer calves have consistently been at the top of our replacement pen, and with lots of embryos in the tank, we are excited to offer this unique opportunity to acquire such a great donor cow. We believe she will make a major impact in her new buyer’s program, just like she did in ours.

The Hummel South America calves were some of the most anticipated calves to ever hit the ground at KT Ranches. South America is one of the freshest and most exciting Angus bulls in all of the world. South America is a cornerstone herdsire at the World Famous Coleman Angus, where his progeny have been some of the absolute standout highlights, and high sellers of their last female and bull sales. KT Ranches purchased South America semen in the inaugural semen offering by Coleman and we are very proud to have the largest inventory of South America progeny in Canada. SAV Black Cap May 1604 is one of our favourite young donor cows, being a Bloodline 6644 combo. 1604 will have the biggest group of full and half brothers for our bull sale with progeny out of South America, Glacier, and Early Arrival, with some of them being the heavyweight highlights in the pen. 3006 and 3012 are royally bred, with some of the most exciting cattle in the breed on both sides of their pedigree These heifers are powerful and classy. They are in the top 3% for growth in weaning and yearling, but also are built with enough elegance to compete in the show ring. Selling choice on two unique females with a world of future in front of them.

Our partners Arthur Polled Herefords and ourselves have had an awesome 2023 with the results of our 2021 NYR purchase! We have always loved Brooking Beauty 333 as one of our favorite cows ever; well we love her even more after getting 3 strong heifer calves from her embryos and marketing all 3 in the first year. We sold the Renovation daughter in Family Matters to Lindskov’s LT Ranch, the other Emerald daughter in the Brooking Open Book Invitational to Stormy River Ranch, and here is the remaining Emerald. Beauty 319 is the largest framed and longest bodied of the sisters, with the signature Beauty qualities. She has the most awesome feminine head and high ear set - she is simply gorgeous and has the presence of a runway model. She has an awesome hair coat and with those qualities, we think she could really show well as a bred if you’re into that sort of thing. Regardless, talk about an incredible breeding piece, as the Emerald daughters are highly sought after and Beauty 333 has generated over a million dollars in her career. Get yourself a Beauty, we guarantee you won’t regret it! AngusGS tested.

The Beauty 7100 cow has earned her spot in the donor pen here the old fashioned way. Raising a heifer that sold to Bar E-L for $15,000; another to the Bradford family for $25,000; and another to Brylan Rasmuson for $10,500 on all natural calves. This marks the third year in a row she’s raised one for the Collection sale with this year’s lot being a full sister to the $25,000 Beauty 2151 that sold in the 2021 sale. Beauty 2385 follows a very similar pattern as her full sister. She’s stout made, super hairy, deep from front to back, great headed and shows perfect teat placement. The Renovation semen is becoming hard to get for a reason. His daughters are either feature lots or raising them all across Canada and the United States. The Beauty cows don’t miss and I’d be willing to bet that 2385 will continue the legacy. MATERNAL SIB, BRNT BEAUTY 2210

What a unique female for her impressive phenotype and genotype combination. Super long, attractive and sound made. She tracks around on big legs and feet and looks proud doing it. We love her front third, beautiful head, ears and great hair coat. Her pedigree is packed with a punch combining Big River and the Hoover No Doubt donor cow on the bottom side yet she came at a modest 70lbs birth weight. If you like cattle with good epd’s but expect them to look good at the same time this one is worth your evaluation. A full brother was a lead off bull for Peak Dot in their spring 2023 sale that sold for $35,000.

We’ve been quietly assembling a group of cows that we are very proud of, and we are extremely excited to offer our best as our first-time consignment to Angus Collection! Rockytop Pride 317L is the exact type we strive to produce; adequate bone, soft made, and super sound. She’s one of three full sibling ET heifers, all of which are destined to be beautiful uddered like their dam. Unfortunately, we lost the 61’18 cow before capturing a proper mature picture, and before we truly realized the big impact that her one and only flush would have. This is our first set of Big River 0052 calves, and we are really impressed with the consistency, grow and structural correctness of them all. This fall she has achieved the honours of Reserve Champion Stockade Lady Jackpot Heifer at Stockade Roundup, as well as Reserve Champion Senior Heifer Calf at Farmfair International. This heifer has an exciting future, and to top it off, she’s plenty quiet enough for a junior showman.

She offers an outcross pedigree for most and has a heritage steeped in maternal power with many big production and high selling progeny. It wasn’t by choice that we ended up with the “Tibbie, Echo, Evening Tinge & Rosebud” cow families to consign to the Collection Sale, it’s the fact that through years of breeding these cow families, they always seem to rise to the top! The granddam, Echo 59Z, one of many Connealy Consensus daughters have been exceptional cows in the herd, but now we are relying on their daughters to carry the torch and we are fully confident that they will succeed! Echo 109J is a lovely uddered Showman daughter and these females have really exceeded all expectations! A maternal sister to Echo 109J, sired by Alcatraz 60F pumped out a Showman bull in this spring’s sale that topped the charts in calving ease and performance and sold to Granum Colony for $14,000. Just the beginning of what we can expect to see. The influence of Ellingson Hi-Range will be a definite attraction at Hamilton Farms. His consistent ability to impress you with his calving ease and uncanny performance in the same breath is phenomenal. The presence and style of his progeny are breathtaking with a huge dose of power at the same time. As stated in Ellingson’s Sale catalogue, he is one of the most interesting breeding pieces we have ever created. A High-Range female recently sold in the Agribition Sale and created quite a stir. Don’t miss this opportunity to inject his genetics into your program!

HF Tibbie 255L is a female that has the “look”, the muscle pattern, the sound structure, and the uniqueness in the pedigree to set her apart. Her dam, Tibbie 76H is a maternal sister to Tibbie 22C who has been a genetic gem for Hamilton Farms as well as Greenwood Cattle, having produced numerous top sellers such as HF Showcase 176J going to Mac Angus and Ranch Covey Hill for $40,000 and Greenwood High Class 87H, going to Nordal Angus & Limousin for $54,000. The Tibbie cow family is unrivaled in terms of consistency and quality. Tibbie 76H started her production as a 2 yr. old with a top selling Sitz Profound bull for $12,500 to East & West Ranching. Baldridge Jordan is where the uniqueness enters the pedigree with a very strong birth to growth spread combined with a top 14% Maternal Value. Jordan’s dam is a high-ranking performance “Confidence Plus” female and one of the leading cows in the Baldridge herd phenotypically. The maternal side of that pedigree goes back to the Isabel cow family. If you are looking for something a little different, here is your opportunity.

When we start these footnotes, what immediately comes to mind is the amazing influence that Tiger 5T has had not only in our herd, but herds across the world! Evening Tinge 161K is sired by the incredible Showman bull out of a great Tiger daughter. Both 118Z and Tiger 5T are designated Elite in the Canadian Angus Assoc. and Tiger is also designated as a Pathfinder Sire in the American Angus Assoc. Evening Tinge 118Z is only a few steps away from having her 12th birthday and is still being flushed successfully. There were five full male siblings to 161K in our Sale 2023 and they averaged a hair under $30,000 with the highest seller bringing $50,000 going to Silver Knight Angus and two other siblings going to the USA. A maternal sister to 161K was a top donor cow in the Bar-E-L Angus herd, HF Evening Tinge 38C, who was purchased as a calf for $20,000 and another maternal sibling in the Greenwood herd who sold through the Angus Collection Sale and now has a pass to the donor pen at Payne’s. I really think it will be hard for anyone to pick a hole in this heifer. She is so well balanced, and the udder will without a doubt be flawless. The service sire is a new bull in our arsenal. Poss Relevance 1915 is owned jointly with Sitz Angus Ranch. Relevance is a pedigree you need to study, sired by Woodhill Relevance (now deceased) who has become a solid option for creating cattle with growth and end product merit. His superstar dam, going back to Hoover Dam, is one of the most influential cows of all time, with 25 daughters retained in the Poss herd. His first calf crop is on the ground, and he has certainly lived up to all expectations and more. A true calving ease specialist with growth and power to boot! Hi-Range should be a game changer for structure, foot quality and mobility. His outcross pedigree offers mating flexibility for a large cross-section of the breed, yet still is proven to give confidence to those doing so. We are always committed to selling our best at the prestigious Angus Collection and Megalass 2040 is just that. On paper she is as good as it gets being an own daughter of the ever so popular Mercury who year after year grows in popularity as we see his daughters hit production and his sons annually rise to the top of bull sales. 2040’s donor dam is a past $50,000 high selling Charlo daughter and we feel 2040 duplicates her extreme rib shape and power. Megalass 2040 herself is stunning from the side and cuts a gorgeous silhouette. Deep sided, soft flanked, with extra extension though her front end. We really appreciate the stoutness, hip shape and overall power these Mercury cattle have while keeping the udders, foot quality and structural correctness in check. Her service to Canadian Sires calving ease stud, Radville is sure to click and the resulting calf will have a double shot of the stunning Brooking Beauty 333 who is one of the great Angus producers in the breed today tallying over 1 million dollars in sales. 2040 is a future donor quality female we are very excited about.

Yes she is that huge bodied, yes her udder looks just like that, yes we love her! If you like Angus breed character and all of the qualities that made Angus the most popular beef breed in North America, you will love Trader 229. We are excited to offer the first daughter of Bond 007, the Musgrave Colossal son we raised and share with our friends at Nu Horizon. Bond is a calving ease bull and 229 was born to a first calf heifer, now that’s pretty awesome production. Trader 229 actually represents the main walking bulls we have ever had, as her dam is out of HF Crossfire 280D who walked here for 4 years before moving on to a good commercial customer. This is a hard one to pick any holes in, she has always looked like a little cow and we expect she will be picture perfect in production. Her dam is a young cow who raised another strong daughter in her second attempt. A neat deal on her, she calved the first time at 23 months, maintained her exact calving interval within a day for her second calf, and now will gain an entire month for 2024 - impressive fertility! AngusGS tested.

Our first time out of the gate at Angus Collection and we wanted it to be a memorable one. What better way to do so than bringing you the first ever progeny off one of the much admired females of 2022. The Bohrson crew followed her Dam, Hawthorne Lilly, with keen interest all last year as a bred. She racked up title after title; including Reserve Supreme Female at Expo Boeuf & Reserve Angus Female at the 100th edition of the Royal Winter Fair. Lilly stood Reserve only to the EF Primrose cow that was the CWA Supreme Female 2022 & ultimately Miss Worlds. Well, this year she left it all on the table for us with her first calf. Ms Lily 301L has the pedigree & performance to propel your program forward. Developing an impressive cow look already; she is the kind to put top tier bulls in your pens. Her grand dam Hawthorne Agnes is a keystone donor in the Hawthorne Farms program producing such stand outs as Hawthorne Fantasia that has now become a leading donor for IRCC and of course Ms Lilly’s dam herself Hawthorne Lilly. The pedigree behind this heifer calf speaks volumes to her potential. If you love deep sided, big hipped, stout females look no further than Fusion Hawthorne Ms Lily 301L.

Her outstanding young dam by Firebrand is proving to be a top performer in just her first two calves being at the top of their calf crops. Stemming from one of the elite cow families at Remitall Farms, the Karamas have produced many top sellers, herdsires and females that keep producing generation after generation. Sired by an exciting young herdsire, HF Sold Out 179J, who in just his first calf crop, has exceeded all expectations. Sold Out 179J was a feature Showman son and high seller at $40,000 in the Hamilton Farms 2022 Bull Sale. Karama 182L has the breeding potential to become a special breeding piece with many top cow families in her pedigree such as the Karama’s, Rosebud’s, Rose’s, Annie K’s, Echo’s and Elba’s.

AMM Lynn 25L is a moderate framed, maternally built female that comes from the heart of the Brandl herd. We stepped out and purchased her dam last year at Angus Collection and her calf by Compass Mr Tibbs 11J has proven to be a good first calf for her dam. She’s super docile with loads of hair. Would be an ideal show project for a junior member or a quality replacement heifer. Here’s a chance to add two past high end contributors from previous Angus Collection sales, there’s a reason why these Tibbs cattle have been impactful on programs. AMM Lynn is no exception to that.

The Jesse James progeny are surely unique and this heifer calf demonstrates exactly that. This easy keeping female will work well in any environment she is placed in and be able to thrive. This one is moderate framed, bold ribbed while maintaining a great Angus outline of her type and kind. Her dam has worked her way to the top of the donor pen at Peak Dot Ranch with an impressive track record placing sale topping progeny in many programs across North America. Take a close look on sale day, as this calf is sure to carry on the SAV Renovation typed udder set without a doubt.

Riverstone Barbara 2L is a beautifully shaped, moderate female with mass and thickness. Her dam, Riverstone Barbara 199D is a never miss female that goes back to the powerful, DMM Creed. Creed produces females that are solid, broody and still throws beautiful udders and high maternal traits. Her sire Booking Banknote needs no introduction to the Canadian Angus herd book. He is one f the most influential Canadian sires in recent history. We love the females that come out of this great bull and Riverstone Barbara 2L is no exception.

If you’re big on structure then look here, width, looseness of skeleton, and sound moving is exactly what Dixie Erica posesses. Her dam has been extremely consistent producing multiple sale features that have excelled in the ring and in production. A neat mating with the SAV America 8018 bull who needs no introduction was valued at 1.51 million in 2019 to Herbster Angus. This female is backed by some of the best in the breed. This big barreled heifer has the ability to excel in any direction you choose.
