DAM :: HF ECHO 206Y

FULL SIBLING :: BOSS LAKE BONAFIDE 722E

A bull calf we are pretty excited about. We were able to acquire this embryo from Boss Lake Genetics last year. From the moment he was born I have thought a lot of this bull. He possesses an immense amount of muscle and shape and has a tonne of bone and foot size while still keeping it in a very sound package. We were happy with his rapid maturing and development. He possesses an extreme amount of presence and displays an attractive look. His mother has been a foundation female at Boss Lake Genetics who has raised several elite progeny that have gone on to have great success. His full brother was the high seller in the 2017 Power & Perfection Sale at $44,000, and sold to Miller Wilson Angus and Lewis Farms, and a maternal sib in 2018 went for $20,000. We are very excited to offer this unique individual and look forward to his future performance.

HF Misty’s Valentine 99F will certainly make you stop and take a closer look on sale day. She is truly a beautifully constructed female with the traits that a future brood cow in the top of your herd should demonstrate, like depth of body and rib capacity, with a very attractive head and front end that complete the package. Her sire, HF Storm Center 26D sold in our 2017 sale to Sun Rise Simmentals, Spyhill, SK for $35,000.00 for 2/3 interest. This eye appealing, big hipped, wide topped bull is proving to be a true breeder and we couldn’t be more excited about his potential. Like so many of our top end herd bulls, Storm Center is out of a Tiger ST dam, Miss Blackcap 296V which is one of the most prolific donor quality cows we’ve raised! 99F calves early to HF Syndicate 213Z, we call him the master in the calving ease department. Syndicate progeny were in the pedigree of many top sellers at the recent U2 Dispersal and have been for years in both the U2 and HF bull sales. Don’t miss taking a long look at Misty’s Valentine ori sale day.

Miss Lucy 171F offers a little different pedigree with Bartels Element on the top side of the pedigree. We purchased Element to provide an outcross pedigree for our program while maintaining our focus of providing moderate birth, functional cattle, that will still add pounds at weaning. We are certainly looking forward to our first females calving this spring. Element has excellent feet and legs, and an EPD profile which is hard to ignore. Lucy 171F’s dam combines the Pleasant Valley Lute bull with Pure Product, both pedigrees have been proven producers in our herd for a number of years. Both bulls have stamped their progeny with style, shape, bone, hair and structural correctness that is so apparent. Lucy 171F is mated to Riverbend Image Maker, a bull we purchased in Riverbend’s Dispersal, noted for his calving ease. As you can see from his photo, he is smooth made, but still exhibits plenty of muscle shape and a different pedigree to boot!

The grand dam of Tibbie 201F has been a pillar in the herd, producing herdsires like HF Prospect 42B, selling for $34,000.00 to Grand River Angus and HF Rebel 53V bringing top dollar at $95,000.00 to Stevenson Angus and TC Ranch and Green Angus Ranch, as well as six daughters to follow in her footsteps in the herd. The sire of Tibbie 201F is HF Powder Keg 71C, one of our feature bulls in the 2016 Sale going to Bob Cat Angus, Montana for $32,500.00. Powder Keg provides low birth and yet the performance is not compromised one bit. The dam of Powder Keg is HF Evening Tinge 294X, an Elite dam and a donor in our ET program. Tibbie 201F phenotypically is hard to pick apart, displaying tremendous capacity, muscle shape, good feet and a beautiful udder should be a given with her pedigree. They say its always a good thing to offer some of your best to showcase your program, and we believe we have done just that with Tibbie 201F. Take advantage of this opportunity! Safe in calf to HF Cowpoke 39F, a Cowboy Up son , out of a Miss Blackcap 27R daughter, who are definite matriarchs in our herd, producing numerous herd sires and sale toppers over the years!

The granddam MVF Tibbie 85U was sold to Poplar Meadows Angus and has been one of Tanya’s favorite cows. Edwards Erica 224F is a sharp fronted, stout made female that I love for her overall completeness. The Motive X Sudden Look mating has worked well for me in the past;Edwards Vixon 269C sold in the 2016 collection sale, then produced the 2019 supreme champion female at the Lloydminster stockade round up for Ter-Ron farms. It is not hard to go through our herd and pick out some of our top heifers and 110F’s dam, Lady Jane 9A will be on their tag. This heifer was Scott’s pick of our heifer crop last year to go into the Angus Collection, but we just couldn’t part with her. With some reservations and more convincing, we decided (not unanimously!) to part with this deep-bodied Angus Stud daughter. She is a dream to handle and should be able to strengthen anyone’s cow herd. We are fortunate to have several sisters in our replacement pen and will be offering some brothers in our Bull Sale on March 26th, 2020. I can’t say enough about this heifer and although she should be safe in calf to Aviator for a January calf, the clean up bull we used on her is an attention grabber by many people who came for a farm tour. This young Natural Law-Coleman Donna son is one of the best bulls we have raised, and we were proud to add him to our herd sire line up.

We are really pleased with the cross we made with the powerhouse Hot Lotto bull on our moderate-framed Crowfoot cow. This cow just keeps producing those eye candy calves and 18G is at the top of the list. You could show her or just let her raise some top-quality herd sires, but I do know this girl will not disappoint. We were fortunate to purchase a few Crowfoot cows and calves when we first started our Angus herd and many of these cows are our top producers. We do not believe in pushing our heifer pen too hard and she looks the way she does on free choice hay and 5 lbs. of pellets since shortly after weaning. She has been raised under ranch conditions to last in your herd. Don’t miss out on one of our top replacements.

Her sire, Trendspotter has been a great breeding piece for our program with a daughter selling through Angus Collection last fall to W Sunrise/Buschbeck and our high selling bull this spring going to the respected breeders at Six Mile Ranch for $13,000. Her dam, Ruby 402E was a Power & Perfection purchase that was shown successfully through 4-H by Sienna and she transitioned into a hard working, strong udder, fertile and productive first calver that did a tremendous job raising the top heifer calf of 2019. On the SAA Summer Tour this summer at Wilbar, one of the feature bull calves and our personal favourite was the son of Ravenworth 68Z Ruby 25C out of a Bank Note son which makes him very closely related to this heifer, we are confident of this stacked pedigree in Anchorage Ruby 9013. We are very proud to offer this one and we have the utmost confidence in her ability to produce very well moving forward and we will be keeping an eye on her future success for the new owners.

This Bravo daughter is super stylish and is sure to make a great cow. We purchased two outstanding full sisters in the Coleman Angus Ranch sale last year and this heifer’s dam was one of them. Both made the donor pen as they have flawless udders with great feet; they are also both doing a great job on their Bravo heifer’s and therefore we have decided to retain the other in our herd . Dixie Erica 9028G has a lot of maternal power bred into her; her dam is an awesome Renown daughter while the Dixie Erica cow family are super sought after for their style and presence. Bravo on the top side of the pedigree is a breeding powerhouse because the calves we’ve analyzed, are nothing but impressive. This combination is what so many of us are seeking, she is one extremely stunning and powerful heifer!

906G is a female that screams angus “mama cow”, correct in her structure, feminine in her makeup, a female that will just mature into something great. 49E is a first calver that is prominent in the herd. Baldrige Bronc is calving ease bull with great numbers. New to the Angus breed we were impressed with the calving ease and vigor of the Bronc calves. 906G fits the build of a strong female that contains power and correctness.

Miss Rusylvia 2G has an impressive sire with SAV President who sold for $750,000 at the 2017 Schaff Valley Angus sale, but her dam has always been a pasture tour favourite with her modern frame tied in with natural muscling, maternal look and massive capacity. As well 78Z has consistently weaned calves well over 700 lbs every fall with this heifer weaning off Sept 7 at 750 lbs. Country Lane Bride 35G has been admired all summer by visitors for her ability to put it all together in one complete package. She is thick, deep, stylish, structurally sound with a temperament second to none! Her Dam was a graduate of the Angus Collection and continues to produce outstanding females every year. Her Sire, HBH Equate 44E, is an easy-fleshing bull that has done well for us at Country Lane. We selected him after seeing his Dam, another of the great Brookmore cows and was very impressed with her overall structure and makeup. His first set of calves have not disappointed and have come easy with lots of vigor, natural thickness, and hairy. Buy with confidence…everything is right about this young lady!

I have liked the 9G heifer since birth. She is off of a first time calver that many people who have seen her have been fond of. Her mother has an excellent udder and comes in an extremely sound package. Her sire was purchased by us a few years back from Miller Wilson Angus, and has been used with great success. Right from early days this heifer calf came with an attractive look and an immense amount of belly and rib shape. This will be the first daughter offered off of DMM Hoss 55D.
