The breeders behind the Angus Collection Sale have done it once again and have committed their very best to sell in this special sale. We truly have to commend them for loyally stepping up and it has resulted in one of the best sales in the country of all breeds and one that has a buzz in the air when attending. As potential buyers study this book, they will quickly recognize the strong programs represented and the commitment to selling their best which has resulted in this sale being one in a league of its own. Two special bulls and an incredible set of breds along with a big time group of opens will be on offer and you are getting the very best. Cow families are very important to us when we select and many of the breed’s very best genetics can be found in this 36 page catalogue as it is something to be admired. Many of these cattle have already won banners and been admired at shows but most importantly, these cattle are selected to showcase their progressive programs and are bred to be exceptionally strong production cattle. We thoroughly enjoy hosting this sale and encourage you to join us in Olds for this fun event that will be following all the safety precautions put in place. We sure hope you are with us on Saturday, December 18 and if you can’t attend because of prior commitments, feel free to reach out to any of the sales staff to assist you in a professional manner. At this time, we are ready for more and more social events and this is one that is highly enjoyable and an opportune place to visit with fellow breeders about the strong Angus cattle in the barns and take in great hospitality. Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing Team

Wiwa Creek Angus
$30,000 W SUNRISE & CANADIAN SIRES
Wiwa Creek Trending Now 1’21 is one of the great bulls that has ever been born at Wiwa Creek and can truly make his impact on the industry in a large way. This special breeding piece is the exact type that can propel this great breed forward as he combines an incredible phenotype and backed by an awesome genetic package wrapping many of the best cow families in the business together. He was a stud from day 1 and always had that herd bull presence with an attractive head, smooth shoulder, erect front end, stout top, big hip, sound structure, huge rib, big scrotal and excellent feet. He doesn’t come by his incredible phenotype by accident as his stacked pedigree is loaded with predictability and power. On the top side, Mercury was the $55,000 feature that is Firebrand’s best breeding accomplishment to date as he clicked with the never miss Beauty 333 donor that is one of the greatest in the breed. On the bottom side, Tibbie 216’15 is a near perfect design donor that brought $38,000 at The Rose Bowl and is perfect udder, huge hipped, pretty made and a truly special cornerstone female. Wiwa Creek has been in the business for countless decades and for them to list Trending Now as the best one they’ve ever raised is a large statement to take note of, this guy has a big time future ahead of him.

Compass Mr Tibbs 11J very easily could position himself as the best bull calf born at the ranch in quite some time. He’s been a true standout his entire life and is one we feel represents the epitome of the Angus breed. It’s hard to replicate his herd bull presence and added body and dimension with an outstanding hair coat. He has excellent testicular development and an easy-going disposition. To top it off his depth of heel and foot shape is ideal and there is no doubt you’ll appreciate this herd bull when he is on the move. Compass Mr Tibbs 11J has been admired by many and has had a successful show career being named Champion Senior Bull Calf at Old’s Fall Classic and Champion Angus Bull Calf at the Immortals. His dam was an Angus Collection purchase from Greenwood Angus with Arda Farms and Freeway Angus. She is a big bodied, powerfully made female with an exceptional udder. Her first son Compass Powerhouse 1G has been used heavily in our program producing our top end replacement heifers and bull calves. 11J’s sire Arda Mr Tibbs 322E was Junior Champion Bull at Agribition. We purchased half of him for the same characteristics as 11J. 322E was lost early in life with very limited offspring. We are extremely excited about this future of this young herd sire, contact us for details.

They say it’s always a good thing to offer some of your best to showcase your program and we believe we have done just that with HF Tibbie 3H. The Tibbie cow family have had an overwhelming positive influence in the breed, with a genetic toolbox designed for profitability. Tibbie 3H is very complete and attractive in her design with a proven, prolific and powerful pedigree top and bottom. Her dam is a full sister to HF Rebel 53Y, who acquired a record setting sale at $95,000 for 2/3 interest selling to TC Ranch, Stevenson Ranch and Green Angus Ranch. A maternal brother to Tibbie 3H, HF Risky Business 135G sold to 66 Ranch for $21,000 in 2020. Her sire May-Way Breakout won the Beef Supreme Challenge at Agribition 2015, then went on to sire the sale of the record setting bull, HF Alcatraz 60F for $200,000 going to Bar E-L Angus and Cowtrax. HF Tibbie 3H is mated early to Schiefelbein Showman, the bull that has created quite a stir in the industry in the past year. Your next herdsire may be in the making???

Annie K 40H is a deep sided, wedge shaped and ultra-feminine female with great performance and overall a very desirable type. She is backed by an “Elite” dam with 5 calves ratio at 107, she certainly could become the mainstay of your program. Long lasting, problem free and low input females lay the foundation for profitability. Annie K 40H could certainly be a leader down that path. Her Maternal grand dam, HF Echo 187N, was arguably the best cow ever raised at HF, she was admired by leading cattlemen from many different breeds, with when she was on the show road or in the pasture. Sired by the bull that has created a stir, Schiefelbein Showman has been bending the curve with exceptional early growth, capped with moderate mature size. Showman’s progeny have consistently topped the sales in both bulls and females, the repeatability is uncanny! Mated to yet another icon in the breed, HF Alcatraz 60F who raised the bar for Angus bull sales in 2019 selling for a Canadian record setting price of $200,000 to Bar E-L Angus and Cowtrax, Colt Kornfled for 1/2 interest. Alcatraz has also gone on to consistently produce easy fleshing, good footed, stout, great disposition type of cattle. A great opportunity in the making!

KCH Echo 6H is a special breeding piece and this progressive program has dug deep into the top of their bred heifer pen to sell a big time female. This cornerstone female has the potential to become a great breeding female to build a program around as her pedigree is incredible proven with the Natural Law x 111Y cross that absolutely clicks every time. Her full sister, PM Echo 8’16 was the Supreme Champion Female at Agribition and is as beautiful of a female as you can make. More full sisters topped the recent Poplar Meadows Production Sale as they were an excellent flush and the kind to build around. KCH Echo 6H is good footed, strong udder, excellent haired, sound made, and very good looking to view when you lay eyes on her. She is the good looking type you want a pasture full of and the kind of pedigree that screams profitability and production value to invest in with confidence. We thought it would be complementary to offer both a bred and a calf this year and we are sticking with the Duchess cow family that has been so good to us. 756T and her descendants are building our Angus herd and the more we work with these cattle, the more we continue to like them. We sold half interest in a 756T son by Musgrave Colossal to Doetzels this spring named Bond 007, and we are sure proud of how he has developed and look forward to seeing his first calves in the spring. If you are attending Agribiton, you can view this elite calving ease sire in Nu Horizon’s pen in The Yards. We have flushed 756T multiple times and the Bank Note flush has been very productive for both sexes. We have retained multiple full sisters and also sold one to Brayden and Andie Schmidt, and full brothers have been successfully sold into 5 commercial herds with high customer satisfaction. 026H herself is beautiful headed, big bodied, and overall very well balanced. She has awesome small teats with elite placement and we are very confident in her future udder development. The AI service to Musgrave Colossal will result in a calf very closely related to Bond 007 and his two impressive full sisters. AngusGS tested.

INCREDIBLE PEDIGREE & AWESOME PHENOTYPE!!! KT Ranches gave the BMS crew the pick of their entire bred heifer pen and KT Blackcap May 361H has risen to the very top and one that Kevin certainly doesn’t want to sell. Unfortunately, S A V Blackcap May 5012 is no longer with us and all of her embryos are gone so this will be the last chance that KT offers any genetics from her and it truly is a special breeding piece and definite future donor cow. She produced three bulls last year that one buyer purchased and has asked for more. KT Blackcap May 361H is not only a stacked pedigree but a beautiful female that is stout made, long spined, big hipped, beautiful udder, sound structured, soft made, elegant fronted and just that ideal wedge shaped female that we all strive to produce.

KT Barbara 917H rises to the very top of the 2020 born females at KT and when the BMS crew toured through the 150 bred heifers at their Olds pasture, she was Jaxon’s pick of the entire group. Rightfully so, this March heifer stands in with the Januarys and is as powerful as any in the pen while still being extremely good looking and feminine in her design. This attractive fronted, smooth shouldered, big body, long spined, angular female has so much going for her and is destined to be a great looking production cow down the road. She strides out athletically and is the right type to build around and one that has a tonne of good in her. Her sire, Insistence is the Senior Herd Sire at KT and has done a great job in production and he is backed by a great donor, SAV Blackcap May 1804. 917H has lots going for her and will be one to watch come sale time.

This special breeding piece has so much power and production value wrapped up into one fault free and extremely complete package. Her pedigree has stacked the best of the best in the industry with President, Resource, Net Worth, Bando 5175, EXT, Traveler & EXT for sires and 4136 appears twice along with the great Elba cow family. Her direct dam, Siebring Elba 400 is a great donor cow at KT and is really making her mark and rising to the top of the ranks in their deep set of donor females. So much depth of pedigree and so much phenotype quality in 368G, she is one that is destined to be a big time breeder whether it be a cornerstone female or future donor.

She also produced the high selling heifer calf this spring in their bull sale and Jaymarandy also had incredible success with the Copenhagen Smile & Hard Evidence sons from 0698. 0698 is one of the very best donors in production and never misses and 0303 may be the best offspring to date. This female has the extra dimension and muscle shape that we all seek along with a nice front end and the style and presence in a very correct package. Her dam, Greenwood Envious Blackbird 52 was a many time winner including Senior Calf Champion at Stockade Roundup and a high seller in the Power & Perfection Sale. Here is a powerful individual that has the length, shape and performance to be highly productive in her future. This maternal based female has always had that maternal, power look that she will have the ability to raise big time herd bulls down the road. Anchorage has bought dozens of females from Remitall over the years and they have worked well with 172F being the best of the bunch as she was a past Angus Collection purchase that has evolved into a strong production female. Oklahoma has been a legit excellent sire that combines calving ease, good performance and incredible maternal traits and his limited semen supply will make these genetics even more valuable in the near future. The vet was fairly sure 0004 was safe to Final Answer but it can’t be guaranteed and either way, the potential for a highly marketable calf is for certain as this female has ROI written all over her.

40J is a heifer that we have thought highly of since early February. With each day that goes on, we feel this heifer becomes more like her dam and believe she has the same bright future, where she will find herself in your donor pen. She is an extremely deep, soggy made heifer that will have an exceptional udder. She looks impressive from any angle with clean lines, a big top, and extra hair. Her dam is quickly becoming a big-time cow that will enter our donor pen this coming spring. Her udder and feet work are exactly what we want to build around next to her incredible depth of body, rib shape, phenotype and disposition. 40J and her dam were most recently crowned Supreme Champion female of Lloydminster Stockade Roundup in their first outing. We are excited to consign this elite heifer to the Angus Collection. We feel she ranks among one of the best females we have raised to date. Phenotypically this heifer is as good end to end as you can make one. She’s long and smooth through her front third, offers tons of capacity and is stout hipped when you get behind her. To top it off she’s very correct structured, has an awesome hair coat and an excellent disposition. 5J has already proven herself in the showring at her first debut at the Immortals show where she took home Supreme Champion Heifer among all breeds. We feel this is just the start of what could be a successful show career for 5J. Not to mention the endless breeding possibilities and right pedigree to become one of your top donor females. Her dam was a $15,000 purchase from Hamilton Farms with our good friends JK Fraser. She is a moderate, tanky and perfect footed brood cow. Her sire came as an in dam purchase from Greenwood Angus and breeds true to the capacity and eye appeal that he exhibits. She is one we are sad to part with but excited to see the future she holds for her new owners! If the new owner wishes to do so we would be more than happy to continue managing and campaigning this heifer through her future endeavours. We would also like to retain one future flush on this female at the buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense.

Beauty 2151 is exactly what you expect from the Beauty 6R cow family, she’s extremely easy fleshing, big topped, bold ribbed, big square hipped, perfect teat placement, and feminine fronted with the classic Beauty head. 2151 has all the parts to make a great cow like all the ones before her in her pedigree. Sired by the hottest bull in the business; the Renovation daughters are becoming more and more sought after as they enter production. The predictability in this one is about as good as it gets.

Blackbonnie 54J comes from the core of our herd. When exploring this heifer’s maternal breeding it is clear to point out her early maturing, deep muscle development, has been passed down through the infamous SAV Net Worth 4200. To compliment the performance in this cow family, we selected the breeding of DMM International 54D. Arguably one of the finest Canadian bred bulls of his era. The pairing absolutely showcases some of the best sought Angus characteristics current to the breed, as well as genetics behind those traits. Depth in rib, length of spin, and elegant front end, are what first catch your eye either standing or on the move. The traits flow down into her bottom half where unbelievable shape and dimension continues, followed up with a great set of feet, no doubt required to carry what is sure to become a powerful cow. One capable of producing the next great one.

Here is a special breeding female that has worlds of potential and one that is a prime example of the great genetics that La Conquista Ranches is striving to produce. This angular, square hipped, good looking, smooth made, huge sweeping rib female is ultra sound hip her design and has an excellent teat placement. She is beautiful in her design and rightfully so as she is stacked with an incredible pedigree highlighting many of the most exciting genetics in the business. Her sire, SAV America 8018 is the $1.51 million dollar bull that is in high demand and one of the most consistent breeding bulls the Angus breed has ever witnessed. His limited semen supply makes this special female even more popular and one to build a program around. Her dam, KT Lady May 4382 was the second high seller at Krebs Angus Dispersal at $50,000 with her two year old daughter and heifer calf commanding a combined $32,000. Many who have seen this heifer calf have acclaimed her as the best progeny to date from 4382 and one that is incredibly exciting to offer at the special Angus Collection Sale. We are retaining one flush at our cost and buyer’s convenience.

KCH Primrose 2112J is one of the stoutest and biggest topped heifer calves that you’ll find to sell this fall and her sheer power is to be admired while still being nice necked and attractive in her design. This high performing female is extremely cool as she combines a lot of positive physical components that will transition into a great breeding female that can raise exceptional sons and sought after daughters. 2112J really is a cool female and rightfully so as she is out of one of the breeds very best breeding bulls, Brooking Firebrand 6068. Firebrand commended $95,000 and he has gone on to be a potent breeding piece and when stacking him onto the Primrose cow family, it was a genetic explosion. Her dam, 8005F was a many time division champion female alongside her dam as they showed as a beautiful pair with an exceptional udder quality. The power is in the blood and it is stout throughout the top and bottom of this pedigree which allows you to invest in confidence and have a huge ROI in the near future.

This Chinook cow family was purchased from Get A Long Stock Farms 22 years ago by purchasing Get A Long Chinook 29M. Chinook 6J has an excellent EPD profile, big CE, low BW, good milk and competitive performance data. Coleman Bravo needs no introduction to the Angus breeders. But I will add how much he has done for our program - progeny with tremendous foot quality, world class females and now mother cows, as well as highly marketable bulls that achieve so many things that the commercial cowman is chasing.

Tifany 20J is massive ribbed, big sided, great haired with a maternal look. She was a candidate for the Rose Bowl, but we found better opportunity for her in Angus Collection. Her 7/8 sister Lady Ann was a highlight in the Rose Bowl selling to KT Ranches for $21,000. SAV AJAX was maybe the crowd favorite to sell at Kelly’s that spring. He was purchased by KT and remained at SAV. AJAX and Bloodline share the same dam - SAV Emblynette 2369. She is notably the most impressive cow at SAV. Her phenotype and production record is unmatched there for recent times. We see lots of Emblynette 2369 in these AJAX daughters. Dam 2075D is a moderate Bank Note cow that we are proud to show people, her President son was a sale feature last spring selling to Connor Geibelhouse.

Working with this female and writing her footnote brings us serious deja vu from our 2020 AC consignment - a maternal sister by Firebrand that we sold to RMF Angus and Paige Cossitt. That female was successfully campaigned this summer and fall out east and it was sure enjoyable to see eager young people work so hard on having her look great and keep us up to date with pictures. This year’s version is sired by the great Renovation who has caused such a stir and is destined to go down as one of the all time maternal legends of the breed with the females he is making with a distinct cow type to them and that typical Reno teat size and spread. Despite different sires, the sisters have a lot in common with very similar heads, looks, and builds. The Duchess cow family has been our Angus cornerstone and we continue to build around them. 756T (The Queen as Kirstin says) is the matriarch and was the first cow to cycle this spring and stuck AI again to calve around January 1 at age 15. She is up to 27 progeny in the CAA database with another set of ETs arriving in 2022. We only sell the kind we would want to buy and we are very confident in 133 and her maternal sister Duchess 026. AngusGS tested.

FCR Trendy Lucy has been a stand out since day one, an overwhelmingly long heifer calf with a great wide top, she is smooth made and balanced . She possesses an undeniable “look at me” presence with an elegant front 1/3 and a very attractive angus character head. The “Lucille” cow family repeatedly come to the top, in both fertility and production.. they are known for always settling to the first AI. They trace back to the original Bar CR Foundation cows from the legendary Batschol herd .Trendy’s dam 3E’s first 2 progeny are recorded with the Canadian Simmental Assocation as half-bloods and she is now safe to Ellingson’s Profound for a January calf. I am extremely pleased with the Trendspotter calves and he is one of the most consistent bulls I have ever used. His calves are stylish and complete with plenty of power, his daughters are especially attractive which is no surprise since Trendspotters dam is Soo Line Annie k 9165. My intentions were to keep this heifer and build around her, often times the most important decisions are the hardest ones to make. Trendy Lucy is the type of heifer I am so proud to offer and I see a very bright future ahead of her.

This SAV President daughter has been a standout all summer and fall. We acquired her dam in the Power and Perfection Sale from Hollinger Land and Cattle. This heifer calf follows in her mother footsteps in terms of power, extremely deep sided and soft made, combined with the fact that she has the ability to move with ease as she is extremely flexible in her hocks and pasterns. A female that has a ton of presence and you will love her side profile. This is a female we think a whole lot of. One that would be extremely fun to show but what’s most exciting is what she will mature into as she goes into production. Owned with Lee Shologan.

20/20 Lady Ann 13J comes to you from one of our most cherished cow families, both in quality and lineage. Her maternal granddam 20/20 Lady Ann 17Z was an in dam purchase out of the South Border Angus dispersal a few years back. Now this was one of our few sight unseen purchases, but when we found her mother Lady Ann 023’s lineage went back to a sire my parents, Garry and Norma Legaarden had raised, she became a must have. And in fine form, this cow family has become more than just a paper favourite, 20/20 Lady Ann 17Z has become a farm favourite based on her own feminine presence as well as producing a very good calf every time, male or female. Now this interesting part of 13J could just be the combination of Bank Note 7113 and Roper 27F. When planning our heifer AI Synchro program, we had great visions of how good the combination of EA Rose 918 and HF Rosebud 246Z could be on the maternal future of our program. We feel Lady Ann 13J checks a lot of the boxes we are striving for in our future and yours.

Fads come and go, but Delia puts all the building blocks together; piles of hair, big footed, deep bodied and wide teat placement just like her dam. Sired by the $62,500 Brooking Rendezvous, she came to the top of our heifer pen. We’re excited to follow Delia 1021J and watch her shine in her new home.

We were excited to consign to the highly regarded Angus Collection Sale once again, we felt this heifer allows us to put our best foot forward. The combination of Renovation x Banknote has proven to be a dynamic one to say the least. This heifer exemplifies what we feel an Angus female should be. Eston Anne 26J is powerful and possesses as much volume and capacity as you’ll find. This heifer’s dam is a star in the making at Roy Mac she has all the attributes to knock it out of the park year in and year out. Eston Anne 45G is a daughter of J-Star Bank Robber, who was acquired through this very sale. Renovation females have been highly sought after and this one has the genetic package and physical attributes to catch some eyes.

This is only one of two females we are selling this fall sired by the Bar E-L herdsire. We plan to retain as many females of his as possible. The Bride cow family has been very productive and this heifer will follow the same pattern. Lady Lass 67J is not going to overpower you with her frame, she is a moderate type female with a ton of middle and depth. She comes from a highly productive cow who raised one of our high selling bulls last year. You combine the productivity of the 3Z cow with the absolute cow power of the Bride cow family and there is no doubt this female has the ability to be a money maker. SIRE - BAR-E-L ICEBERG QUEST

We are honored and excited to have the opportunity to be part of the Collection sale again this year. Kayla and I thought that the Angus Collection was the perfect place to have the first ever MLG Authoritive 24F progeny sell. We believe MLG Authoritive will make a tremendous mark in the Angus breed throughout this country. He is the most exciting bull to ever walk our pastures and we believe his progeny will have the same effect. Aubrey at the age of 4 along with Jades help at the age of 8 halter broke this heifer making her the bomb proof 4-H prospect she is. Aubrey has already shown her at Showdown in Olds. The other neat part of this female is her proven dam. 49C has proven to be an excellent female maker. We have retained all 49C daughters to date. 49C and 39J were also champion mature cow/calf pair in open division at showdown this summer. This is an excellent cow family and we feel both of these females we are offering exemplify that very well.

As we retain more direct Bravo daughters in our herd, we see the overall consistency of deep bodied, sound, beautiful uddered females with great dispositions. This heifer’s Resource dam produced a beautiful heifer last year that sold to our friends at Dwajo Angus. A sweetheart on the halter and one that has a bright future ahead.
