AI Bred to WLB Top Tier 456G on Apr 10/22. Ultrasounded safe. PE to MRL 98H from April 24 - June 9/22. A dark red very angular heifer with a ton of natural volume and eye appeal, very deep ribbed and an overall well balanced package. Another heifer backed by solid cow families. The 23X cow on the sire’s side has raised us more high selling bulls than any other cow on the farm. With Bodybuilder and Gunner on the bottom expect this heifer to set down a perfect udder. A younger heifer here with a powerful pedigree. Expect a blaze faced calf with her breeding to Top Tier.

AI Bred to WS Epic E152 on March 31/22. Ultrasounded safe PE to MRL 98H from April 24 - June 9/22. A female with a lot of natural muscling, square hip, and a very nice udder attachment which is common with these Revolt females. 322J is much like her big barreled dam, structurally very sound and longevity bred into her. A heifer with a solid set of numbers that should make a very productive cow for her new owners. Johanna’s sire Revolt has worked very well for us by combining performance and capacity with calving ease and maternal strength. His milking daughters have beautiful udders and are fault free in their design and production. If you are in the market for some red heifers, this group is very consistent in their type.

We dug deep for this years offering and a heifer like this doesn’t come up for sale very often. Big bodied, soft made, setting up a nice udder, very stylish and should make a highly productive cow. Again, the cow family behind this heifer is one of our best, raising many high selling bulls and excellent females. 264J is bred to NUG Advantage, our high selling fullblood bull this spring to Johnson Ranching. An interesting pedigree behind this brood cow prospect that is highly maternal on paper. A smooth made blazed face heifer with tons of rib shape and dimension. Her dam is one of the deepest easy doing cows in the herd with a very nice udder and strong foot. Being that she checked so many boxes, 164B made her way to the donor pen and continues to produce consistently. 240J’s early service to Guardian who is noted for his calving ease, maternal traits, and carcass values should make for a very exciting blazed face calf. 14

A big barreled attractive made heifer who is setting down a very nice udder. 347J’s dam catches your attention for her overall completeness and extension through the front end which is common with these Enticer females. Her sire WFL 7B goes out and does his job year after year. He passes down a strong foot structure, tremendous length of body, and plenty of natural fleshing. Backed by a very solid pedigree and from a herdsire that is going to be hard to replace. Being bred to R Plus Fleetwood the resulting calf should be pretty interesting to say the least.

Byron, Bernice and Wyatt Johnson - Amisk, AB Byron - 780-806-3560 johnsonranching@gmail.com Welcome to the 11th annual Camrose Classic. After two years of craziness in our worlds we are really looking forward to having a live sale again this year. Our program is based around strong producing highly maternal cows with udders and feet being number one priority. All of our heifers once again will all be 100k tested and sire verified. All of these heifers come right out of the heart of our herd and the top of the replacement pen. They are bred to our own walking heifer bulls that we have selected for their calving ability. Please feel free to stop by and see them at the farm or give us a call if you have any questions.

AI Bred to State of War on April 1/22. PE to TSF Gangster from Apr. 20 - June 1/22. Vet ultrasound 60 days on June 1/22.

A very impressive heifer that has all it all in terms of looks, genetics and potential! Melody comes from our 302Z donor we purchased from Skor Simmentals, 302Z is a cow that is so unique in pedigree but also in terms of how powerful she is while still having a feminine look, she is one of the deepest and longest bodied cows we have seen. She really stamps her progeny as well. We had 7 embryo siblings from this mating 4 heifers and 3 bulls, we put in some more last spring, but I think I can already say this flush was a homerun. The 3 bulls were the top of our bull pen last spring and stirred up as much interest I’ve ever had on a particular group of bulls. A full sibling bull was our high seller for 24000 to Circle G Simmentals. Our best black bull in this year’s pen is also an Executive X 302Z embryo calf! The 4 heifers have been just as impressive to watch develop and we have been so excited to get them into production, not going to lie is a bit hard to watch this one go. 291J has great skeletal structure, easy fleshing, and is setting up a nice udder. Outcross genetics I have always thought the 4W genetics could be the hidden gem of the Simmental industry!!

Sire - State of War

Sweetheart of a heifer coming from one of our favourite black Matrix daughters. Very attractive in her makeup all the while having a powerful hip structure and balanced body type. She has great feet and is setting in a very nice udder. The maternal power is stacked in this female as both dam and grandam have bulls in the 2023 bull pen, specifically 67G has a bull that I think is going to draw a lot of attention this spring he is the real deal!! An early breeding to LFE Nighthawk should complement this heifer very nicely. Bull or heifer the pedigree and cow families should make for a intriguing calf.

AI Bred to Nighthawk on Mar. 31/22. PE to TSF Gangster from Apr. 20 - June 1/22. Vet ultrasound 55 days on June 1/22. The powerhouse in our bred heifer group this year. The Killswitch x Charisma breeding really clicked on this one. We have great young cows from both of those herd bulls so to put them together in this package should make for this heifer to go on and have a great production record. 414J has loads of hair, bit more frame size, and tons of depth. Powerful cow family here with our old CRF 120Z cow showing up on the bottom side, even as a 10 year old cow she gets pointed out by a lot of visitors. I will a steal a saying from Gerald when I bought 120Z…... This cow should raise some bulls. I really think 414J has the broodiness and power to do the same! Interesting breeding to Nighthawk here as well. 27

AI Bred to WHL Red Heat 1734E on Mar. 26/22. PE to TSF Gangster from Apr 20 - Jun 1/22. Ultrasounded 65 days on June 1/22. Another Killswitch X Charisma bred heifer that has a great look and profile. The udder of this heifer should be lights out good as the dam 2E has an udder as good as it gets. Big barreled, length of body and great feet also describe this heifer very well. The killswitch sons have been very well received in our past bull sales, in fact have been our high selling red bulls for the past 3 years. The females have been every bit as good as we really get them into production. Out of a solid cow family and early breeding to the heifer friendly WHL Red Heat should provide a quick ROI.

AI Bred to Robb Warrior 91H on April 28/22.

Dam - LRX 14U

There is always that heifer in the group that you shouldn’t be selling because she’s so tough to replace. Cheyenne 1173J is that female. She is the type of female that could have a halter hung on her and be very competitive in the show ring and turn around and make a front pasture cow. She is a big bodied, big hipped female with the kind of hair that is so hard to put on one and pays dividends in their sons and daughters. She is loaded with maternal power and will be the last Cheyenne daughter to sell as all of the embryos are gone now. Her dam has been a prolific producer with numerous sons working in herds across the country and daughters in programs across North America and Australia. We’re excited about the service to Warrior. When we had the opportunity to acquire half possession in Warrior we jumped on it. It isn’t too often that you find a calving ease bull that will throw performance and is out of as high quality of a dam as Warrior has and check out his epd profile with 12 out of 13 traits in the top 25% or better of the breed!

RF Sadie 128J is a solid red, high capacity female that stems from generations of high selling donor cows in the breed. 4Z and 854U were sale features and high sellers in the Blacksand dispersal and have gone on to be extremely productive donor cows. The Limitless daughters are great footed females with a little extra look and have tight, tidy udders and do a big time job in terms of production on their calves. An early service to WLB Top Tier could provide a very profitable and exciting token. 29

AI Bred to CLRS Guardian 317G on March 24/22. 124J is a Yuma daughter with extra length, thickness, balance and style. 124J is definitely the kind that will be a herdbull producer and the udder that she is dropping looks like it will be beautiful just like her dam’s. Her dam was a Simmsational purchase from Labatte Simmentals and she has been a good producer with her first son selling through our bull sale and her 2022 daughter by Supercharged being one of our favourites in our keeper pen. The added bonus is her early service to CLRS Guardian. We used Guardian last year in our heifer pen and they were born early and light and came with lots of performance with a couple sons even breaking the 1000 lb mark by mid Sept! The Yuma daughters are tough to part with so don’t miss a chance to own one of the first daughters to calve. Make sure you check out her video or better yet in person as we think you will like her even more than her picture.

AI Bred to CLRS Guardian 317G on March 25/22. 127J is another Yuma daughter with extra length and style. Her dam is a beautiful uddered, big bodied brood cow that has been extremely productive. Three maternal brothers to 127J have averaged over $15,300 through our bull sales and are working at JK Bar, Westman’s and R3. 127J is a 3/4 blood and she reminds us a lot of another 3/4 cow that we owned that was called RF Scream 39X. RF Scream 39X’s first calf was a FNL high seller at $36,000 that is known as RF Scream 215Z who is also known as the dam of Captain Scream as well as many other progeny that have gone on to make an impact in the breed. The potential ROI on these high quality 3/4 females is what makes 127J most exciting and an early service to the calving 30ease curve bender, CLRS Guardian, could be the ticket to that quick return.

AI Bred to Rust Primetime on March 25/22. Dam - GNR 985G

Grandam - TOPS 418B

Bombshell 1110J is exactly what we hope for out of our halfblood program. Every year we breed a few heifers to proven calving ease bulls that are packed with maternal power. The goal is to get an outcross heifer that we can breed up with a new twist to her pedigree and add some outcross maternal power as well. The other reason we’ve done it is because our bull customers have been asking for halfblood bulls and they are always some of the most popular bulls in the pen every year. 1110J exemplify’s what we are trying to accomplish. Both sides of her pedigree are lined with great females and she stems from the high selling many times champion Bombshell that has done an excellent job as a donor cow. Her dam is an outstanding young Westcott female that has an exciting future. She carries an exciting service to the total outcross Rust Primetime and according to the ultrasound it is a very high probability of being a heifer calf.

Her dam is a beautiful uddered, big bodied, red Absolute daughter that has an exciting future and her Caliber heifer calf this year adds to the excitement.
