One of the most anticipated sales each fall is the Camrose Country Classic and this year as we welcome you to the 11th annual event we are pleased to notify you that it’s gone back to a live auction format, now hosted at Maxwell Simmentals. The 2022 offering consists of 6 progressive programs that have dug deep into their replacement pens and off the top of their calf crop to represent their operations.

The Maxwell Simmental program is one of the most respected breeding programs in North America and their 24 bred females on offer boast as much genetic earning potential as anything we will see as these are sisters to the bulls that make up one of the best bull sales in all the land. Johnson Ranching is home to some of the most potent walking herd bulls and we feel the strong representation of daughters off Stimulus, Everlast, Frank, Mur and Sugar Ray compliment the powerful Ai sires, Dynasty, Guerrero and Roosevelt very well. These females are worth the trip to analyze. Rob Stuart’s South Seven Farms operation has been in business for 30 years and we believe when you lay eyes on the impressive red and Fleckvieh females on offer, it will be evident why his program has been so successful. South Sevens breds offer some diversity with both horned and polled genetics, purebred and Full Fleckvieh. Tri-K Cattle has brought a pair of red females and a pair of black females anchored by a special heifer off their prolific 302Z that took some convincing to be let off the farm, but as always, the Hodges’ are committed to offering their best and the powerful set for 2022 is no exception. Rancier Farms is synonymous with high quality Simmental cattle within the industry and their strong emphasis on productive cow families is extremely well represented here and the exciting Ai services carried by these heifers is sure to excite. Welcome from the Maxwell families to the eleventh Camrose Country Classic Female sale. Maxwell Simmentals is a family run farm, consisting of 350 purebred cows of which 130 are Fullblood, 140 are Red factor and 80 are Black. We have been breeding Simmental cattle since 1972. We are extremely happy with the consistency in type and quality of the set of cattle we have on offer. The bred heifers are all very similar in type and bred to easy-calving, industry leading herd sires. We are very proud of our cow herd and the successful bull sale we host each year, which a large percentage of our bulls going to repeat buyers. We look forward to joining the other great breeders to assemble a set of Simmental females that will be some of the finest sold this fall. 323J is angular fronted, deep bodied, strong topped with a very stylish presence who is setting up a nice udder. The Precision sired cattle have had dark red color, great hair and a little extra performance. 232J’s dam is another highly productive Accelerator cow that has put some bulls in our annual bull sale. A nice mix of genetics here that should work well for their owner.

A complete made, well balance, structurally sound daughter of the high selling MRL Precision. Jackie is very sweet fronted, big hipped, with plenty of volume and has some very high powered, productive females in her pedigree. 303J is a heifer that should be a herd bull producer.

A female with a lot of natural muscling, square hip, and a very nice udder attachment which is common with these Revolt females. 322J is much like her big barreled dam, structurally very sound and longevity bred into her. A heifer with a solid set of numbers that should make a very productive cow for her new owners. Johanna’s sire Revolt has worked very well for us by combining performance and capacity with calving ease and maternal strength. His milking daughters have beautiful udders and are fault free in their design and production. If you are in the market for some red heifers, this group is very consistent in their type.

The Exclusive daughters are very nice uddered, have that extra length of body and are very tanky and easy keeping. This broody, attractive, big topped heifer has a ton of power and body dimension with a square hip. Her dam, 444B, is one of those cows that looks the same all year long. She is tanky, big barreled, very smooth made and her bull calves always make the sale pen. 331J’s sire, Denali, is a massive hipped bull that is very wide topped and full of muscle. He is one of the soundest footed bulls we have had.

We would take a whole herd of cows like her.

A big barreled attractive made heifer who is setting down a very nice udder. 347J’s dam catches your attention for her overall completeness and extension through the front end which is common with these Enticer females. Her sire WFL 7B goes out and does his job year after year. He passes down a strong foot structure, tremendous length of body, and plenty of natural fleshing. Backed by a very solid pedigree and from a herdsire that is going to be hard to replace. Being bred to R Plus Fleetwood the resulting calf should be pretty interesting to say the least.

As I am writing the footnotes for 124J I can’t help think how surprised I am that the boss (Bernice) is letting me sell this heifer. She is a sale feature with her deep body and huge rib. TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, and wire transfers, payable at par at the sale location unless satisfactory payment arrangements have been made prior to the sale with seller, buyer and Bohrson Marketing Services. Bohrson Marketing Services reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Payment in full must be made before cattle can be released and shipped. Exchange rates will be announced sale day and the sale will be held in Canadian funds.

BIDDING: All animals to sell through the sale must be sold by auction with each animal selling to the highest bidder. Private sales will not be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPUTES: In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in the dispute. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid and the auctioneer’s decision will be final.
