Welcome to our 27th Annual Adair Ranch Bull and Heifer Sale. One of the greatest blessings over the past 27 years has to be the wonderful people we have met and the friends we have made in the Simmental business. Thank you for your interest and support of our program. We calve our cow herd in May aligning the cow’s nutritional requirements with peak seasonal grass production. We have applied heavy selection pressure to our cowherd for sound udders, feet and fleshing ability. Our cows utilize stubble grazing, swath grazing, corn grazing, and stock piled pasture through the winter months. Adair Ranch cows are functional in a forage-based least-cost environment while maintaining profitable performance in their progeny. Rest assured that behind every Adair Ranch bull is a high-quality functional dam. The first year the bulls are wintered on a silage growing ration and then on grass from May to November when we started a TMR of cereal silage, oats and peas. They are conservatively developed to remain sound and breed for years. Genetically engineered with calving ease, fleshing ability and performance. Sires represented in our 2020 sale include Adair Cornerstone 273C, Adair Ranch 354C, Adair Ranch Unforgiven 764A, BCLR Wide Load C21-3, TNT Bootjack D477, TNT Moonlight A328, WS Prime Beef Z8 and PCC SSCC Down Town 1719B. We purchased TNT Stagecoach C286 from the 31st annual TNT Simmentals “Genetic Explosion” Sale in Almont, ND. TNT Stagecoach C286 is homozygous polled and heterozygous black. A direct son of the popular TNT Bootlegger Z268 owned by the Trade Wind Ranch of Tioga, ND out of a TNT Dual Focus T249 dam. TNT Stagecoach is a moderate, thick beef bull with a great disposition. Registered as 7/8 in the CSA herd book. He combines calving ease with tremendous growth and performance. TNT Stagecoach C286 has a very good EPD profile and API index. Proceeds to be divided equally between the Brownfield Rec Centre and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Brownfield Rec Centre is a great space for community events: 4-H meetings, curling bonspiels, weddings, anniversaries, showers and funerals. We are grateful to have this excellent facility in our community. In the fall of 2018, Heidi had throat surgery at The Stollery Children’s Hospital. We were amazed at the care Heidi received. Certificate of Registry: The proper Registration or Recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after the settlement has been made. Breeders Guarantee: Bulls – Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that the semen collected from the bull will be suitable for artificial insemination. Heifers – All have been palpated and guaranteed open and in good health by a local veterinarian. Exception to Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subject to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are the responsibility of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as fee, A.I., signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal a breeder then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal is a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory replacement, F.O.B. the ranch or the refund of the actual price. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of the replacement animal, the Sales Management will appoint a mediator. Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, Auctioneer, or Sellers assume any responsibility in this manner and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of the accident or loss of property.
