Suntanna is right from the top of the herd and has not disappointed. Looking from top to bottom on the pedigree there is lots to talk about. Only because her mother is bred the same way are we able to offer her for sale. Baroness is entered at all the shows this fall and was recently named Reserve Senior Heifer Calf Champion at the Olds Fall Classic. Its become somewhat of a pattern, that our Power & Perfection consignment would be a daughter of our Smash donor, Red Stewart Lark 602S. In both 2014 and 2015 two daughters of 602S sold through this sale for $26000 and $30000. The 2014 model, Red Rainbow Lark 2B, went on to be a Denver class winner and eventually the 2015 American National grand champion female and supreme champion female at the NILE, for Jady LeDoux. Likewise, our 2015 consignment, Red Rainbow Lark 17C, was successfully campaigned by Renee Lock, being reserve division champion in both NWSS and NAJRAE. As well as being crowned champion red angus female at the Illinois State Fair.

Even though those are some big shoes to fill, we feel Lark 9E, has the stuff to do it. She’s a unique combination of maternal look and showring elegance. The Mistress cow family has been a “sure fire” producer in the herd, with her grand dam Mistress 6M being designated as an Elite/ Premium dam in the CAA. Every breeder has that one cow that comes to top in terms of most impact and positive direction for their herd. For myself it is without a doubt SWAN 751w. She is a member of the original group acquired from the Justamere herd dispersal in 2009 to be considered foundation females in are small angus herd. In 2012, swan 751w was named champion black angus female at stockade roundup, as well as calf at side crowned reserve stockade lady. It’s hard for us to get rid of her progeny, but as we took a few years off from selling females to grow our herd, it’s time to offer our very best. Swan 816E is the type of female we have be striving to have since the beginning. The type that’s got that cool neck, breath-taking profile as well a feminine neck and head to be show heifer. Yet once it’s time to be a productive cow the opportunities are endless as far as breeding decisions are concerned. Swan 816E will sure to not disappoint come sale time!
