Welcome to the Fourth Annual Next Generation Bull & Female on behalf of Black Gold Simmentals, The Noble Family, Red Willow Ranch, The Tyler Family and Little Willow Creek Ranch, The Harland Family. We are all passionate about the cattle industry and work hard to produce and offer cattle that will maximize the profitability potential for their owners. The 2017 Next Generation Sale will offer a large selection of Fullblood bulls, two year olds, extra age bulls, yearling bulls, polled and horned. There will also be a good selection of Purebred bulls, black, red and polled. Again this year there will be approximately 20 Fullblood and Purebred open heifers and 15 commercial open heifers that will sell in pens of five. When we had the opportunity to purchase a flush on one of the most consistent matrons in the breed, RF Scream, we knew we had to own it. 47D is none other than a full sibling to Captain Scream, the bull calf that we showed this fall. Captain Scream was the Grand Champion Bull at Lloydminster Stockade Roundup, a Top 4 finalist in the Supreme, Junior Bull Calf Champion at Farmfair, Reserve overall Legends of the Fall Jackpot Bull calf, Junior Bull Calf Champion at Agribition, and ended off being the Grand Champion overall bull calf in the Presidents Classic All Breed Jackpot at Agribition. 47D arguably should’ve been out with his full brother this fall, as he has several of the same traits with a baldy face to boot. Full Fleckvieh 151D is a young, full fleckvieh Bryck son that we quite like. 151D is out of an awesome uddered female with a little bit different pedigree. 3W may be one of the most complete cows on our farm as even at the age of 8 has a perfect udder, and perfect feet and legs. Kuntz Simmentals purchased a 3W son in our 2014 Next Generation Bull Sale and commented that he is a very good footed bull. Calves like 151D are why we are really happy with the job Bryck has done for us in his first calf crop. This long spined, heavy muscled bull is our highest performing bull this year. 95D is out of a nice, young Double Bar D Buster daughter. Typical of most of the Bryck progeny, 95D is early maturing and high performing. Bryck has been very consistent in not only giving some added performance, but he gives lots of pigment with many calves almost being red to the ground. Even being a little younger, 95D seems to be dropping down a large scrotal. Take a look at Sire 95D if you’re looking for some added growth in your calves. When we were on the search for a new fullblood herd sire, Starwest Bryck seemed to fit the characteristics we were looking for: calving ease, high performance, heavy muscle, good pigment, and large testicles. We are very happy with Bryck’s first calf crop and Black Gold Venturion 97D is exactly why. This long-bodied, soft made bull has a great hair coat. Venturion is one that is very impressive when you get behind him. 97D’s mother, 49Z is a young female that goes back to our donor cow, 18U. 49Z is a double polled female who could possibly be homozygous polled. Full Fleckvieh, it is always challenging to find new genetics and we were very excited to purchase 407Z from Bar 5 Simmentals as she satisfied our conformation criteria with a total outcross pedigree to our herd. Adrian 157D is the youngest bull in our offering and he fits well with his penmates in regards to performance, depth of body and muscle.

Luke 2D has been one of our most intriguing herd bull prospects since day one, due to his modest 86 lb birthweight and above average performance with an actual weaning weight of 840 lbs. He’s an extremely dark red, heavy pigmented, long bodied bull whose pedigree is known as quite outcross. We cannot say enough about his Imax dam that we purchased out of Ontario last fall. She’s a cherry red moderate framed cow, who has questionably the best udder on our farm. She calved a Titanium bull calf in January this year and he has the same look as 2D. Look for 2D to add pigment and docility to his calf crop, with a bonus of having the ability to sire Dam polled cattle.

This was the first calf crop from “Philosophy”, who was the high selling bull at the Fleckvieh Equation two years ago. It had been a long time since we had seen a bull with as much pigment and hair as him, while being so early maturing. Not sure where to start on this calf...he’s a very interesting individual. He’s as dark red and short marked as they come. He was born to a first calving female with a very moderate 82lb birthweight and all he did was grow. We used his sire, JNR’s Salton, successfully on heifers and were extremely impressed with how well he calved, so decided to use him heavily again this year. 2D has developed into a stylish, smooth-made, sound bull.
