Fall Fusion All-Breed Sale 2016

We are excited to present the second annual Fall Fusion All-Breed Sale, it will be held in conjunction with the Lloydminster Stockade Roundup the first week in November. Stockade is recognized as one of the very elite cattle shows in North America and brings in a nation-wide attendance. Of all the shows in Canada, we can also compliment Stockade of annually having the most loyal exhibitors.These progressive breeders continually see the value of exhibiting at the Stockade as it has strong attendance of both commercial and purebred breeders alike. It is one of the best ran shows in Canada and we encourage you to take in this first class event in November.

The incorporation of the Fall Fusion Sale last year went over very strong with a standing room only crowd and this year’s event is stacked with the same quality once again. You would have to travel a lot of miles to see the strength and quality these six Simmental heifers consigned have and it speaks volumes of the breeders behind them. Last year we saw the National Angus show at the Stockade and what a great event it was, the Lloydminster Ag-Ex staff and board proved they can put on a high caliber “National Event” and we hope we see more breeds utilize Stockade for upcoming nationals. The Angus breeders once again stepped up in a big way consigning females from the very top of their respected show strings. The Shorthorn and Speckle Park females were in high demand last year, they aren’t high in quantity but very high in quality with strong breeders backing them as well.

We encourage you to take in the entire Stockade Roundup for multiple reasons, as it is a fun filled week with great hospitality, strong cattle and awesome people.The breed shows start on Wednesday and finish on Friday, you will not want to miss them or the jackpot shows as well as the supreme prior to the Fall Fusion Sale. SVS Black Lady 654D is a very complete, sound structured daughter of our walking herdsire, Summit. Summit has left us a tremendous set of daughters. Many of you will remember the $17,500 daughter (pictured) that sold last fall to Deeg Simmentals. They are all stamped the same, and after calving the first ones this past winter we are confident that they will have a strong influence in our herd for many years to come. We purchased 654D’s mother out of the Westway Top 50 female sale and she has not disappointed. She is a very useful cow with a perfect udder. SVS Black Lady 654D is a spitting image of her mother, including that perfect blaze. She is well balanced, deep bodied, square hipped and attractive. 654D is going to be very competitive in the show ring this fall and would make an awesome bred to campaign next summer and fall. In our 2016 Bull Sale, we sold a son, grandson and maternal sibling to 30D for an average of $7500. 30D is very similar to her dam and grand dam as she is a big bodied, big ribbed female with an awesome temperament.

We decided early on in the season that this heifer was a perfect fit for this sale and we had to offer her here. Her full sister Divine 29C sold through this very ring at the inaugural Fall Fusion sale to the Holba family. They proceeded to do a wonderful job with her! She was Matt’s 4-H heifer project and was club champion as well as regional champion heifer for him. We believe that this Divine is poised to follow in her big sisters footsteps and could be a wonderful project for a junior. Our boy Seth keeps asking if we have to sell Divine she is so friendly. We really admire the depth of body that this heifer exhibits and her structural soundness is impressive, traits that we look for when selecting females for our own herd.

We have been excited about this heifer from day one. Since a calf she has stood out in the pen and only looks better every day. “Ducky” turns heads!

Her mother Garnier Abundance YGG 209W is a good uttered, easy keeping, and feminine cow that is out of an elite cow in the Canadian Angus Association. She has another good heifer calf out of Musgrave Big Sky this year.

Selling chocie of Lot 12 and 13. We decided that with having a few full sibs from this flush we could let one go. There were four heifers from this flush born this year and they are all exactly the same. There has yet to be a consensus by people touring on the favourite. We brought home the two that we liked best on selection day and those are the two you see here.

Either one is sure to make a huge impact in anyone’s program. Sired by the breed leading SAV Resource himself, he needs no introduction with what he has done for the industry. Their dam is none other than our 184S donor. She is the dam of our Bulldoze bull (PED 296B) that was our 2015 high seller at $10,000 to Clifford Land and Cattle. After having a very successful inaugural Fall Fusion Sale in 2015, we at 20/20 felt we again needed to up the ante in support of this sale in 2016. With great discussion amongst ourselves and varying opinions throughout summer tours, as to which would be our most popular heifer to offer, we decided the best sale option would be to offer the choice of our entire 2016 heifer show string.

With all 3 females being sired by our Anderson Dagger 1439 herd sire who has done exactly as we hoped, in leaving us a group of females with power and performance and yet the feminine package of his Soo Line Motive sired dam on the bottom side and that of the Youngdale Grace 7X cow on the top; the decision will come down to a personal preference on phenotype and style.

BOLD 2D carries the phenotype of her very strong SCC Tiger 15X mother who also raised our high selling 2015 Touch of Class sale heifer BOLD 3B who now resides at the great Youngdale Angus program. BOLD 14D traces back to some of our original brood matron bloodlines, combining the Annie K cow family with our B/R New Frontier sire at the time Jancliff New Frontier 14R. Anyone following our program to date will fully understand the affect these New Frontier daughters have had on the success of our past and present bull sales. And finally the BOLD 16D heifer who traces back to our flush cow in DMM Miss Essence 99K. In talking maternal merit, the presence of DMM Miss Essence 22B has stood the test of time for the great people of Miller Wilson Angus and will continue to be part of the back bone of our program.
