He then sold for 1/2 interest to Six Mile Red Angus for $50,000 in 2006 and later resold another 1/2 interest for $70,000 to multiple buyers. In 2007 he was named Supreme Champion Bull over all breeds at the Canadian Western Agribition.

We purchased his sire, Red Vikse Fully Loaded 29Y from Vikse Family Farms. He was the high selling Red Angus bull at their 2012 bull sale and has sired multiple champion siblings of “buzz”, including the following Red Shiloh A Loaded Gal 6A, the “CAA 2013 National Grand Champion Red Angus Heifer Calf of the Year” and the “2013 Grand Champion Female” at Farmfair International Headliner All Breed Show. Another paternal sibling, Red Shiloh Best Get Loaded 14B, was the “2014 People’s Choice Grand Champion Heifer” at Canadian Red Roundup, and also earned several champion and reserve champion titles at Olds Fall Classic, Lloydminster Stockade Roundup, Farmfair International and Canadian Western Agribition in 2014.

His Dam, Red Shiloh Zunder 10Z, has exceptionally outstanding EPD’s. She is a powerful, well-structured female with exceptional feet and udder quality, along with a kind, gentle disposition that she passes onto her offspring. Buzz has made an impressive impact over the last 2 years. Some of you may remember seeing him here at Canadian Western Agribiton last year, where he achieved the title of the “2014 National Champion Red Angus Bull Calf of the Year “ awarded by the Canadian Angus Association. He has also acquired several previous titles in 2014, including “Reserve Grand Champion Bull Calf ” (Olds Fall Classic) and “Reserve Champion Intermediate Bull Calf ” (Lloydminster Stockade Roundup).

We recently had the opportunity to attend this year’s Inner-Provincial Exhibition in Armstrong, BC. Where buzz earned the title of the “2015 Reserve Grand Champion Angus Bull” showing against both red and black angus. He also made a strong impression at the 2015 Olds Fall Classic bringing home “Reserve Champion Red Angus Yearling Bull”.

We retained several quantum daughters believing they would be good cows. However, as is the case many times, you don’t know how good a bull usually is until they are gone. Of course that is the case with 86P. His females have been fantastic.

This Lucy cow family goes back to one of the first females we purchased from Bell Angus in Pense. When we started in the Angus breed we sought the best genetics we could find and afford. Ken was gracious enough to sell us some real good females, and one was Lucy 5G, the grandmother to 95C.We have retained numerous Lucy’s in our herd and all have done well. Lucy 79X has a paternal brother to Lucy 95C in our show string. I love this guy. Lucy 79X, a maternal sister to 95C, has been a no miss kind of cow. Maternal sisters to 95C are working at Glen Gabel Angus and Blair’s Ag. There are varying schools of thought on which sires to use each spring-“The tried and true or the outcross up and comer.” We dabble in both theories. We used Unanimous for his unique pedigree but his phenotype, moderate birth numbers and outstanding performance made him an easy sire selection for us. We are very pleased with all his calves in our herd. They are all very eye appealing, deep and thick bodied.

To say we are excited about these Unanimous calves may be an understatement.

We only want to buy females that are going to improve or advance our program. It is with the same philosophy that we sell females-to improve and advance the programs of others.
