support

boerne parks & recreation

At Boerne Parks & Recreation, making life enjoyable is our main goal.

We take pride in maintaining over 400 acres of green spaces and five and a half miles of trails. Our engaging athletic programs make fitness actually enjoyable! We organize and offer a variety of classes, festivals, events, camps, and more. We couldn’t ask for a more engaged and supportive community! This strong sense of community inspires us to continually improve life in our town.

Join us in making Boerne the best it can be by supporting the City of Boerne Parks & Recreation Department!

There’s a lot of different ways you can help our town grow with charm! The best ways to get involved with Boerne is through sponsorships, trail adoptions, and volunteering at events.

See more about this on the following page and feel free to contact us with any inquiries!

Get Involved (cont.)

1) Volunteer

We may be biased, but we think Parks & Recreation events are some of the coolest spots to be in Boerne. Come lend a hand at our events. It’s a great way to have fun while supporting your community and earning service hours for work or school.

3) Adopt a Park or Trail

2) Advertise

Promote your organization by advertising with the Parks & Recreation Department. Increase name recognition with an ad in next year’s guidebook or a banner on one of our softball field fences. You can also get the word out by sponsoring an event or running a commercial during a Movies in the Park night.

Nothing brings people together like volunteering in the great outdoors. Adopting a Boerne Park or Trail is a great way to boost teamwork through community service. We’ll put your group to work during litter pickup, landscaping, weeding, watering, planting, and more. It never fails to create a connection!

Take it from someone who knows, like these past and current Boerne Park Adopters:

4) Memorial Bench

Commemorate your loved ones with a memorial bench in one of our city parks! Each bench has space for a plaque to recognize the organization, donor, or loved one being honored.

5) Memorial Tree

With our Memorial Tree Program, you can honor your loved ones and give a gift to the whole community! Memorial trees are planted in our city parks, and each tree is planted with a commemorative plaque in the honoree’s name.

IT’S GYMNASTICS TIME!

crossfire gymnastics in boerne

The Boerne Parks and Recreation Department partners with Crossfire Gymnastics for its community education gymnastics programs. The mission at Crossfire Gymnastics is to provide quality gymnastics in a fun and healthy environment to develop confident children through the exciting challenges of gymnastics.

About The Sport:

The number one reason gymnastics is great for kids - it’s fun! Where else can kids run, jump, flip, swing, tumble, and use all their energy in a single class. Going to gymnastics allows kids the freedom to have fun in a safe environment.

Gymnastics is an extraordinary sport which develops flexibility, strength, grace, and coordination, not to mention confidence, discipline, creativity, and a positive self-esteem. Gymnastics is a great foundation for any child, no matter what sport he or she decides to pursue.

The attributes that can be gained from gymnastics transfer to other sports. It truly is a sport of all sports! Gymnastics is an activity that children can begin as soon as they are able to walk. It’s one of the few activities in which toddlers can participate. It not only develops a healthy body, but it also develops a healthy mind. It’s a great foundation!
