SOCIETY PRESENTATION
Cornelio I’m the result of more than eight generations dedicated to working rugged soils during harsh winters and hot summers; of long decades of carefully pampering the same plants that today give us their precious fruit; and of a careful winemarking process, where we apply the full extent of the wise legacy left by our ancestors, all so you can enjoy a glass every time you want the company of a good wine. To speak of Cornelio is to speak of tradition, passion, excellence, sustainability, terroir... In short, it is to seek the purity of a good Rioja. Experience, climate, and soil that favour the natural development of vines, constant innovation, and the most favourable treatment for each of the varieties, can only result in wines with rich, long and complex aromas. And now that you know me body and soul, and you know all the secrets hiding in the glass, all that remains is to fill our lives with good times. Let’s enjoy them together!

RIOJA IN BODY AND SOUL
Our passion We are passionate about producing top-quality wines that bring out the most natural characteristics of our region, knowing how to enhance their qualities using an approach of minimal intervention approach throughout the production process. La Rioja has unique microclimates and rare terroirs that are the embodiment of Rioja wine and allow us to make wines that produce extraordinary sensations. This is why we have adopted this idea as our main goal: to obtain a top-quality grape in the most natural way. Our “Rioja in body and soul” philosophy focuses on preserving the exclusive characteristics of the grape variety and use it to spread the Rioja brand. Our teamwork aims to produce wines with minimal intervention by combining the traditional techniques used by our ancestors with new techniques learnt on our visits to different wine-making regions around the world. We always seek the purity of the grape variety, employing organic farming principles and the character of the fruit itself based on a balanced, self-regulated vineyard that can produce high quality grapes with the help of the environment and the demands of its production. Our “obsession” with protecting the environment and fighting climate change in earnest has led us to create, alongside our Cornelio Dinastía wines, the organic wine range called Vega Vella. We have been practising organic farming for over thirty years on the eastern side of La Rioja, following EU regulations, and we have clearly proved that we can offer wines with the same quality but based on sustainable winegrowing and protecting the environment for future generations.

TRADITIONAL WINES
Cornelio Dinasty It gives its name to our winery and refers to the wines made using traditional techniques of our region. These wines are obtained from our own vineyards located in different parts of Rioja Alta from vines over 45 years old, globet trained and harvested by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit until it reaches the winery, in the Premium and High Expression ranges. During the production process, the wine is intervened as little as possible so that the character of the grape can be expressed slowly and harmoniously, obtaining wines with their own character and personality, a true reflection of the Rioja terroir. Only the flagship varieties of Rioja are used for both whites and reds.

ECOLOGIC WINE
Vega Vella is the range of wines made from organic vineyards –according to the EU organic farming regulations– on the eastern side of La Rioja, an area with a more Mediterranean climate that helps develop the marked attributes of each variety and enhance the fruity aromas to bring out all their virtues. Using local varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha or Graciano and Garnacha Blanca as well as international varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, we employ traditional methods for the winemaking, with the support of the latest techniques aimed at preserving the aromas of each variety to produce characterful wines. The wines based on Tempranillo, Grenache and Graciano grapes give us single-varietal wines and others of coupage where the quality is reflected in their numerous international awards.
