In your room there stands a single doorway, its colors alternate dramatically or slightly every time you wake most cases it’s an abnormal mixture of oranges, reds and pinks.
You go through this doorway, and you see a broken pathway then you step on it, it rebuilds to your vision, but the pathway doesn’t serve you completely.
The pathway has a mind of its own, it curves, it reshapes, it curls eventually, and you can’t force it to go the way you want it to, you try and try again to avoid it, you even step off the pathway to walk
The pathway simply moves along with you.
Eventually you decide to walk the curve, you walk the odd shape, the curls and then, every step from that point on, a sense of melancholy chases you and then after the next curve, you feel a sense of satisfaction, and after every curve, odd shape or curl, a new feeling hits you or an old one returns.
Finally when you reach the point where the pathway ends, you see yourself through a mirror at the end, and you notice something, you’re not the same as when you walked through the doorway, you don’t look the same, you don’t feel the same, you don’t think the same way, and you don’t know whether you should feel proud or dissapointed so you sit down and try to figure that out for yourself.

The past is but a chapter, Written in ink that's dry, And though its words may linger, Its stories passed us by. For we are turning pages, Starting a brand new tone, And with each blank white sheet, We're free to write our own.
We'll fill each page with courage, And write with ink that's bold, Embrace the new beginning, And watch our story unfold.
With each line that we etch, Our tale begins to shine, And as we turn each page, Our future starts to align.
So let us turn the pages, And welcome a fresh start, For in this brand new chapter, We'll create a work of art.
by NMOnce again you have awakened. Be grateful for this day. Let go of needless worry. Turn negative thoughts away. View the world more optimistically. Open the channels of your mind. New and wonderful experiences await you. Leave old regrets behind.
For today is a new beginning, a brand new fresh start. The past is yesterday's news Today you can choose love to fill your heart.

Teachers have double lives!
Some fight dragons in lands faraway
Riding on a mare and wielding a spear.
Many prefer to stay in town
And party late into the night, Into blissful oblivion and then back, To mountains of unmarked summatives And stacks of unfilled report cards.
Some blaze into the limelight
Singing karaoke or playing the drum.
Some have green fingers
And make plants grow healthy and proud.
A few with fervour embrace their activism
And often hug a tree to save the last forest.
Some with political aspirations
Rehearse a winning speech in their underwear.
After a sudden inspiration
Some will quickly pen a poem.
Many would rather be on Netflix
And binge on Squid Game or Stranger Things
I’ll let you into a little secret!
Teachers have double lives!
The teacher you see in class
Is never the teacher you think you know!
You read the words and fail to see the world.
I read the world even when the words baffle.
The words they never stay still, Much less the letters inside them.
The letters
they swim they dance they cavort
they jiggle
And wiggle
they wriggle
And wobble
They flip they float and they fly into a blur.
I wish they could sit and not be so mean.
And mean the same to me as they mean to you.
But my pea grows wings and becomes a bee, And the letters they hurtle into each other
And tumble in a tangled heap.
But the world I see that many of you don’t
Is a wordless world of endless wonders.

Put on your creative thinking hat and get your crafty repair skills ready to #upcycle! as it fills over 5 million instagram posts with images of upcycled art, clothes and furniture.
Upcycling is a concept that sounds similar to recycling, but rather than focusing on the material: simply converting waste into reusable material- old objects are transformed to give them a new purpose, perhaps of higher quality or greater value.
Did you know, upcycling is actually more environmentally friendly than recyling? Not only is it less expensive, it also uses less water, energy and other resources Upcycling supports the local and rural industries, reduces manufacturing costs and prevents additional natural resources from being consumed
This sustainable practice creates opportunities for local economic development and employment. It even encourages entrepreneurship and creates a foundation for new business ideas.
So, what can you upcycle? The answer is just about anything- from tin cans and jars to clothes to furniture!
Chances, beginnings of what, you might wonder? Of anything, really. Whether its a new year, new school, new relationship, new beginnings gives you the chance to create a brighter future and leave your past behind. It brings the promises of new experiences as you move forward
The beauty of fresh starts is that they give us a chance to rearrange our priorities, pay attention to what really matters, and let go of the things that are preventing us from moving forward. They provide us the opportunity to experiment, take chances, and push ourselves outside our comfort zones. They can be daunting and uncertain but offer us the opportunity to grow as a person. Each new beginning is a new chance we get to reinvent ourselves and become the best versions we can be!
Tips to embrace new chances: Set new goals Learn a new skill or language Meet new people
Let go of your past and focus on the present & future Start now

The bullet had hit her again, after all those memories. Was it time to let go? Was it time to finally say goodbye? Her jacket could never protect her from the warmth she wanted, the warmth she deserved, and the warmth she needed. She was here for everyone, except herself. She’d slowly think and slowly walk away until she disappeared as soon as the wound became deeper and deeper.
While she deeply was profounded by the way she writes, she missed it. Things changed, the autumn felt like a breeze to her. She wouldn’t wear her jacket anymore to protect herself from all the dangers surrounding her. Her wounds open, which were filled with the cold breeze which passed by her. The wounds being hurt multiple times, were always open and she never knew how she could close them. She screamed “help!” many times, but no one really heard her when she filled those wounds with the breeze hoping they’d heal; so fragile, so frightened, she never really understood what she did. She hurt people without realizing it as she destroyed paths wherever she walked, filled with the people surrounding her, they all ignored her like a ghost. Wondered to herself if she ever did something, but was too afraid she’d say something which caused the ties of her body to break into pieces, what was she holding onto?
As she walked through the garden, she saw the thorns, the flowers weren’t growing but she needed them to feed her soul. Crying was never felt while the pain was always ignored, she pleased everyone but herself. While ties were being broken, the thorns grew the wounds deeper and made the bonds worse. What was the problem? she always wondered to herself why those feelings would come, why she wouldn’t have energy but it was life as she felt surrounded, she felt empty and lonely. She never knew what was the problem but the only thing she needed to do was to grow those flowers and make them beautiful to make those wounds finally go away.
She never understood what was the problem. Was it her? Was it the wounds? Was it the thorns? Her steps began to feel heavier, her mind darker, why did she feel as though this garden was nothing but a mere trail of obscurity? She wondered when would this cycle ever end, when would her thoughts come to life. Until she finally looked up, surrounded by fields of flowersnot a single thorn for a mile. That was when she understood, she was never the problem nor did she carry it around, her mind was her prison and the flowers were not far from being around. Her wounds would finally heal no matter the season giving her the strength to become someone she wanted to be.

by Joanna Li YimThis book is about a young boy named Rowan. Rowan was a normal boy, living a normal life and enjoying being a kid. One day his armpit feels weird, and is shocked that it has started to grow hair. Upon arriving at home, hair had sprouted all over his body. He faints from shock. He wakes up in his bed and his parents tell him about what had happened to him.
Rowan wonders how he is going to keep this a secret and makes his decision. The next day, Rowan goes to school as a werewolf. Doing this inspires his parents to be themselves and show the world that looks don’t matter.
This story is a great example of change, because it showed us how Rowan embraced his new change and didn’t let it affect how he lived his life.
His life improved because of it, and shows us that looks don’t matter. It also tells us that we have choices. We can either be ourselves like Rowan did, or try to blend into society and be another person who looks and acts like everyone else.

A Korean high school melodrama film set in the late 1990s in Cheongju, South Korea. After feeding us with "Squid Game'' in 2021 and "All of Us
Are Dead" in early 2022, films that kept us on edge the entire time and kept us wanting for more. Towards the end of 2022, the South Korean Film Industry fed us with a retrospective film that left our hearts aching due to a bitter-sweet ending but also taught us lessons about friendship and first loves.
The film starts in the present, where adult Na Bora (Han Hyo Joo) gets a CD player package called "The Love Affair," which links to her first love back in her teenage years. In the past, it started off with her best friend, Kim Yeon-du (Roh Yeon-seo), going to the US to get heart surgery due to her heart condition. Before she left, she told Na-Bora to go and spy on Baek-hyun Jin (Park Jung Woo), the boy she likes, while she’s away.
Bora begins to update Yeondo with everything about Baek Hyun Jin: his height, his favourite drink, his shoe size, the sport that he plays, and his best friend Poon Woon Ho (Byeon Woo-seok).
20 minutes into the film, we can tell that the story centres around Bora and Woon Ho, as the camera always captures moments between them as they get closer and closer. 50 minutes into the film, her best friend comes back, and this is where things start taking a turn. The twist was definitely predictable, but quite surprising.
Bang Woo-ri, the director, delivered us a cinematic film that took viewers of different ages back in the 90s. But this film teaches the viewers that...

Across the world, different cultures have specific ways of experiencing and expressing new beginnings. Even today, many new cultures and religions have ways to express this fresh start. The cultural differences typically vary by country and by religion. Most of the recent cultures’ way of new beginnings stem from older and even ancient ways of expressing a new beginning.
The United States of America (USA) has a melting pot of cultures originating from various countries. Over the years, traditions and customs from different cultures merged and evolved in the USA to become ‘American culture’, influencing a lot of cultures around the world. For instance, American women tend to cut or change their hairstyle when there is a change in their life of as they enter a new stage in their life. Cutting hair can be a very bold move for some women in other cultures. This may symbolise a strong array of emotions while it represents change. This is a wellknown way of expressing New Beginnings in America.
Another very well-known way of expressing a new beginning is through a dove. The use of a dove comes from Christianity.
With around 31% of the world being Christian, this way of new beginning has become extremely popular around the world. The origin of the use of the dove is from the Bible. When the sea parted, a dove was released. After the flood, the dove returned to Noah, holding an olive leaf. The most popular reason for using the dove is during weddings. A dove is released when a couple gets married, symbolising a new beginning.
In a nutshell, a multitude of cultures mark new beginnings in various ways around the world. Some might want to trim their hair while others release doves as a symbolic gesture to commemorate new beginnings under different circumstances. These examples provide a glimpse into the diverse ways in which cultures express the concept of a new beginning. Practices can remain intact over time and may also evolve under the influence of time and other cultures.
This artwork shows a butterfly crawling out of a cocoon. I worked on this to show the idea of a new start. After working so hard and growing, the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. It can finally be free and start a new chapter in its life.
My art style is different as it's more on the unusual/horror side. I changed a few things on the butterfly and didn't really stick to the original anatomy of a butterfly. I used ink and markers to make this artwork and stuck to a darker colour palette as in most of my artworks I don’t usually use many colours.
This piece of art will represent the difference when someone leaves the sad and depressed side of life to how life can be fun and joyful if we do the right things.
This artwork is a drawing of a butterfly which has been water colored and I added dried flowers to give it more texture and make it interesting. Butterflies represent faith, transformation and new beginnings as it goes through so many life cycles, from larva to caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to a beautiful butterfly.
This artwork was created to show the significance of marine pollution and convey the message that we should turn a page and start taking better care of our marine environment.
It is claimed that blue is a colour that symbolizes the sense of emptiness, void (like the large vast unknown ocean) and depression. This is the reason why people say the term “feeling blue” when they feel upset. Throughout the year 2020-2021 people suffered through this pandemic because of COVID-19. This pandemic felt like a trap, it felt frustrating that people weren’t allowed to go out and do their daily lifestyle, instead they had to be locked in their houses, in order to stay safe. This gives of a sense of claustrophobia, sadness, depression, empty, similar to the what the colour blue represents. Hence I applied this knowledge and painted a figure completely in blue to share the message.
In a captivating photograph, the essence of a new beginning is beautifully encapsulated as freshly sprouted plants unfurl before our eyes.
The image portrays a scene of vibrant life, where plants and flowers stand tall, their tender shoots reaching out towards the world. Each delicate leaf and petal represents the resilience and potential of new growth, symbolizing the start of an exciting journey.
The picture invites us to witness the beauty of this transformative process, reminding us that every fresh beginning holds the promise of hope, renewal, and the boundless possibilities that lie ahead.
I painted this painting in order to show unity. I painted three figures and divided them into 7 faces. I was able to manage to fit as many faces as I could on a single canvas. This painting also portrays the fact that different races, religions, and genders come together to fight. Every new day, people come together and work together and for each other to survive.
The lotus flower symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings. In my art piece I wanted to show that in life there are many ups and downs, but that’s not a reason to let it discourage us from growing. These rough patches are very important because they make us realize how we should appreciate the hard parts of life to be able to cherish what lies ahead. It’s a reminder that we should be hopeful and that there’s always a lotus flower waiting to catch us when we fall. My picture represents a girl who is falling from the sky which is filled with gray to remind us of all the negativity that surrounds us and to show how she has just gone through an array of stormy events. However the lotus flower is ready to absorb her feelings of dismay to allow her to begin a new journey in her life filled with enlightenment, prosperity and beauty.
In this captivating photograph, a vibrant flower comes to our attention as it embarks on its remarkable journey. Bursting with life and radiating captivating colors, it stands as a symbol of transformation and new beginnings. The juxtaposition of its vibrant colors against the backdrop of the world highlights the flower's inherent beauty and uniqueness.
My artwork depicts a dead tree and one that is alive. This, to me, represents the quote, "Every ending has a new beginning".
My art work is called the process of life and as the name suggests. It shows the process of life to death I got the idea while researching what I could do , I also tried to make it simple and I also colored it .
