VISION CUBA IN CRISIS GROWING PAKISTAN MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES THE HEART OF BVM BEAUTIFUL KENYA AND AROUND THE WORLD OUR PRAYER TO YOU IN THIS ISSUE
Dr. Bob Vineyard heeded the call to missions in 1973, having felt the call to preach at the early age of four. With over five decades of different ministry roles, he now dedicates himself entirely to missions.
He firmly believes that the most effective approach to global ministry involves empowering indigenous pastors to impact their communities, fostering a shift towards a Kingdom culture within their own contexts. Through BVM, individuals are provided with basic sustenance like simple rice and beans, which for some serves as their sole meal of the day. This act of compassion opens the door for Dr. Bob to share the Gospel, allowing listeners to embrace faith, undergo baptism, and commence a journey of spiritual growth under the guidance of local clergy.
Dr. Bob expresses deep gratitude for the prayerful support and financial contributions that sustain this vital ministry.

We say “Cuba in crisis” but we know that is when God can work miracles on a large scale. Since 1959, the people of Cuba have undergone social and economic hardships and religious persecution but now it is at a crisis point. People literally live on one and sometimes two meals per day. Food is scarce. Dr. Bob has been traveling there since 2003 and he is seeing this as an opportunity for God to show He is faithful when everything else is shifting sand. Together with Evangelist Ray and Sandi Clark, and Valerie Madigan, we saw....
during the April trip, the team of five who traveled with BVM were able to:
• Encourage pastors and churches.
• Prayed for the sick.
• Preached the Gospel to the lost and had salvation decisions!
• Gave much needed financial support to pastors and Cuban missionaries. Future Cuba goals:
• Organize a regional pastors 3-day conference to a central location with three sessions a day, along with meals.
• Preach revival meetings.
• Give aid to pastors whith support, purchasing motorcycles, etc.
In the photo, you can observe the widow of Bishop Mesa, who dedicatedly served in Cuba. His loss has deeply impacted many, creating a void in the community. Despite the church being situated in a perilous area, she stands by the barred window, offering prayers to passersby. May we all strive for such devotion and obedience. It was a truly humbling experience.
Please keep her in your prayers as they make some very difficult decisions for the future of their church. In the nation of Cuba, since 1959, no new churches are permitted to be built. To improvise, small, humble dwelling places are built for the pastor but they must sacrifice half of it to provide a place of worship.
In the picture to the left, you will see the team praying for “Well No. 120” to be built. This church has been given favor. It is the first time since 1959 any church has been permitted to own the property they farm. They use it for humanitarian and feeding programs. 119 wells have been dug for the city of Havana. They need permission to dig this well by the church for irrigating this small farm.
Bob’s initial trip to Pakistan in March 2024 gave him a renewed excitement for missions in that it is wide open for evangelism, church planting and discipleship. Despite the negative social media and news about this nation, the Holy Spirit cannot be stopped. The only thing that is hindering crusades with attendance in multiple thousands, is the availability to go and the finances. It is a field white unto harvest, John 4:35.
Since his return from his first visit, which is always to see the needs and gain insight how to be most effective for the Kingdom, exciting growth has taken place. The pastors he is working with, Pastor Shahid and Pastor Safdar, have given great reports of how money is being utilized for the people who were set free from slavery. Pictured below you will see some of the 20 sewing machines that have been purchased to train women the skill of making garments. The space has been rented and the instructor secured. The expected opening for the sewing training center is this month, in May.
Inflation is a global issue impacting essentials like food, housing, and transportation, particularly affecting the underprivileged and uneducated. This underscores the importance of these sewing centers. Once this project is finished, our focus will shift to establishing a computer training center, including call centers. We are enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead for them.
Dr. Bob continues to work with Pastor Titus Etiang and a network of two dozen pastors. He has been invited to go to Kenya on an extended period of time to conduct Bible classes for preachers and church leaders.
The most pressing project is to finish the school in Baharini. They were permitted to start classes but they are being pressured by the government to finish the bathrooms that include a shower are for the girls, and the playground area.
BVM is happy to report that church planting and church building is making strides Another church plant has been established and the initial stages of the church house has been built, Pastor Elizabeth in Butere, Kenya. Her people are overjoyed with thankfulness at the goodness of God.
Abba’s House Childrens’ Center that BVM supports is growning, reaching many children, feeding, and evangelizig and teaching for the skills of life and the Kingdom of God, reading, writing arithmatic and the Bible. Pastor Jose has been conducting children’s crusades across his country and Eastern Cuba.
Pastor David Busumbu has reported that many decisions through the ministry of the church that BVM has built. It does our heart good that so many lives are being impacted by God’s people through the proclamation of the Word of God.
Pastor Marisol in Curacavi, Chili, continues to pastor the church as her husband, pastor Mike, has had to return to the Dallas-Fort Worth area because of medical treatment. We are also sad to report that he has just lost his son Don to his fight with cancer. Please keep them in your prayers.
We can never tell you enough how thankful we are for your generosity. It is our prayer, that as God sees your generous spirit, that He knows He can trust you with what He has given to you, and that He will fulfill His promise, that your lives will be overflowing with the Spirit of God and have all of your desires met, and then be an even greater blessing to the Kingdom.
