I am extremely excited to welcome each one of you on behalf of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated- Beta Nu Zeta Chapter to the 67th Zeta Debutante Ball “An Enchanted Evening: Visions of Elegance and Grace.” Thank you for your presence as we properly introduce our Zeta Debutantes to society.

Congratulations and best wishes to our lovely debutantes. Tonight, we conclude our 2021-2022 Debutante Season. Each of you have worked very hard to prepare for this enchanted evening.

It has been a pleasure for our chapter members to work with an amazing, talented, intelligent, and delightful group of young women. We hope that you will treasure the bonds made and memories for a lifetime. The members of the Beta Nu Zeta chapter thank you for allowing us the opportunity to make a positive impact and introduce you to a FINER lifestyle.

A special thank you is extended to the parents/family of our Debutantes and escorts. This enchanted evening would not be a success without your support, commitment, and participation.

Zeta Phi Beta is a community-conscious, action-oriented organization. Because of the generous support of our advertisers, sponsors and patrons, our chapter can continue to provide scholarships for the Debutantes. We thank you for your support and encourage you to support the businesses and community organizations listed in the souvenir journal.

The Debutante Ball could not be possible without the dedicated Debutante Ball committee. This committee has worked tirelessly over the sorority year to organize and implement the entire program. Thank you, ladies for your hard work. I sincerely appreciate you all.

Greetings from the Debutante Chairperson

On behalf of the 2022 Debutante Planning Committee, I would like to welcome and thank everyone for their support of this year’s event. We hope that you enjoy the event as we celebrate the societal introduction of 5 young ladies into the society of the Greensboro community. As the Committee Chair, I am filled with giving thanks and gratitude to various entities that are a part of the Debutante Program.

To the Beta Nu Zeta Chapter, thank you entrusting the committee in the planning of this year’s event. For 67 seasons, we have used the Debutante Program to mold young ladies into future leaders and provided substantial amount of Scholarship funding to local students in the area.

To my committee, thank you for EVERYTHING you have spread into the project. It is truly a labor of love and hard work.

To the Parents – thank you for trusting myself and the team with your daughters… it is our hope that we helped the Debutantes shine and displayed their Brown Skin Girl Magic!

To the Escorts – Our handsome gentlemen! Thank you all for giving your all and being that strong support for the Debutantes. It has been a pleasure working with you all.

To the Debutantes – My sweet Debutante girls = Thank you for being you. You all have such amazing personalities that shine bright at every practice and every event. I found myself quiet observing the group and admire the way each of you have grown in this process. We truly hope that you enjoyed your experience.

Continue to strive for greatness in everything that you do. You are all are beautiful queens in our eyes.

Greetings from the Debutante Co-Chairperson

To our Darling Debutantes, Today is the day! I am beyond proud of all of you. You kept your grades up, showed up to practices, showed up for service, and raised money for your scholarships. No matter who wins the title, know that you all have already won so much. I am blessed to have seen you open and be your authentic selves.

I am glad to be a part of your journey, from the giggles in practices to the conversations in group chats. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated, Beta Nu Zeta Chapter, could not have had a better group of young ladies to be presented tonight.

As you are presented tonight, step into society knowing that no one else can be you. Continue to walk in the confidence that you are exuding tonight. You are capable of anything you set out to do. Just look at what you have accomplished thus far. Marianne Williamson once wrote the following: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, & Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”

Tonight, I charge you to be all these things. Be brilliant in your studies. Shine bright in your talents. Show the world how gorgeous you are, and let it radiate from within. Remember the words you recited when you started this journey. Let them guide you to your next steps. I look forward to updates on how you are continuing to excel. Ms. Andréa is always a call or text away. Thank you, parents, for entrusting myself, Ms. Cynthia and our committee with your precious gems. Debs keep making all of us proud.
