MTRCB urged to review 'Elcano And Magellan' for possible ban, cut version
A SOCIALLY relevant film from the Philippines titled: “Across The Crescent Moon” — which is reportedly “action-packed” too — is set for viewing in the City of Los Angeles and suburbs starting on Saturday (November 9). At the core of the critically acclaimed movie is an inter-faith marriage (between a Muslim and a Christian) as it faces challenges to its strength. And as the members of each the families of different cultures face up to their shared challenges, they too have to contend with the social problems that affect their community as a whole.

WHEN Ferdinand Marcos died in 1989, you would think that the Filipinos would learn from the 1986 People Power “revolution” and accept it as a fact that so much wealth had been plundered from the Philippines by the Marcos family. The popular Filipino love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, better known as “Kathniel,” took time to speak and pose with the members of our team shortly before their lively concert titled “One Magical Night” at the Pechanga Resort and Casino. The love pair expressed gratefulness for the warm welcome that they got from the fans, and as well as, from the casino management. Kathryn and Daniel said they would have wanted to go around and enjoy southern California but they were prevented by a very tight schedule. The “Kathniel” couple did one last show in Stockton, California and immediately flew back to
