Alden Richards is celebrating his birthday on Thursday. Because he’s 28, we’re listing down reasons on why he has been everyone’s ultimate heartthrob.

1. He's got a rockin' bod

Alden's got a fi ne form, and it defi nitely shows in his social media posts. After flexing his hardearned biceps in a recent post-workout Instagram post, several celebrities and fans chimed in with praises.

The star of "The Gift" also shared a picture that burned up IG with his toned abs as he welcomed the New Year.

We can defi nitely see why he's the apple of everyone's eye.

2. He's not afraid to fanboy in public

Even at the height of his success, Alden still fanboys over his crushes. In fact, when his online avatar in multi-player role-playing game Ragnarok M held hands with his K-Pop crush BLACKPINK's Lisa Manoban, he couldn't help but gush about it online.

"Kahit man lang sa laro makaholding hands," he wrote in an IG post. Before that, he publicly confessed that he has admired Lisa quite some time.

3. He's an award-winning actor who's passionate about what he does.

To date, Asia's M ultimedia Star has won over 30 awards in his stint in the entertainment industry.

He has won in the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards, Awit Awards, Anak TV

Star Awards, People Choice Awards and most recently, the Seoul International Drama Awards.

These awa rd s are a testament to his acting prowess and love for what he does.

4. He can sing (and maybe serenade lucky fans)

What can this heartthrob not do? Aside from his stellar acting, he is a recording artist with four albums and six singles for GMA-7. He's also bagged a couple of music accolades from the Awit Awards, PMPC Star Awards for Music, and the Box Offi ce Entertainment Awards.

If he can sing, that means he can also serenade his fans with heartfelt and romantic songs, right? 5. He's quirky and fun

The Eat Bulaga host has a great sense of humor and a fun-loving personality. In an Unang Hirit video, Alden is seen being his wacky self on-cam and off -cam.

In the morning show's segment, Alden is seen playing with Baeby Baste, poking fun at himself using diff erent DubSmash fi lters and even participating in Cherie Gil's iconic "You're Nothing but a Second-Rate Trying Hard Copy Cat" line as he gets water splashed on his face by Ryzza Mae Dizon. 6. He's got a soft spot for children

The former Starstruck participant was recently announced as the newest Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Philippines Celebrity ambassador. He also surprised children from the Bahay Bulilit Learning Center in Quirino, Manila with a live-reading session.

Even Scarlet Snow Belo took a liking to Alden. Scarlet Snow seemed to have trouble letting her celebrity playmate go as Alden promised her that he would come back very soon.
