Vicksburg Art Association Christmas Party n Friday night December 7, 2018, the Vicksburg Art Association hosted its annual Christmas party at the Old Constitution Firehouse in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The theme for the evening was â&#x20AC;&#x153;Seats in the Cityâ&#x20AC;? with chairs, painted and decorated by local artists, available for purchase. The event also included a silent auction to benefit the maintenance of the Old Constitution Firehouse. A splendid time was had by all!

Your guest count will make the largest impact on budget.

Cutting cost = cutting down the guest list. When you think of what an impact tables, chairs, linens, table arrangements, invitations, food, and beverages make, cost-cutting is all in relation to your head count. So maybe we can nix the second cousin twice removed. How soon should I begin to book my vendors?

During peak season, some of your favorite vendors are liable to book out 8 to12 months in advance (think high-in-demand bands, photographers, and videographers). Depending on the venue, you may already have food and beverages provided in your package. Now, for that special moment of the ceremony, the Bridal Entrance, one of my all-time favorites for brides is â&#x20AC;&#x153;Canon in D.â&#x20AC;? It is such an incredibly beautiful selection!

Finally, youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ll need a song for the recessional. A traditional selection is â&#x20AC;&#x153;Trumpet Voluntaryâ&#x20AC;? (Clark). If your ceremony allows for it, this is also a time to add a more contemporary song such as â&#x20AC;&#x153;Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m Yoursâ&#x20AC;? (Stevie Wonder). Often, the couple may select a soloist for the ceremony. If youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re having a unity ritual within your ceremony, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s nice to have a soloist play during that interval.

What are your thoughts on the â&#x20AC;&#x153;First Lookâ&#x20AC;??

Originally, I preferred the traditional special moment of walking down the aisle, the bride and groom seeing each other for WKH Ă&#x20AC;UVW WLPH RQ WKHLU ZHGGLQJ GD\ EXW VLQFH WKHQ P\ RSLQLRQ has evolved. I think the current concept of the â&#x20AC;&#x153;First Lookâ&#x20AC;? is great! This time on the wedding day, a few hours before the FHUHPRQ\ ZKHQ WKH EULGH DQG JURRP Ă&#x20AC;UVW VHH RQH DQRWKHU ZLWK only the photographer present, is an intimate moment between the couple that can reduce any jitters before walking down the aisle in front of all of their closest family and friends. After the photographer captures the First Look, then bridal party and family photography can begin before the ceremony starts.

Hereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s the bonusâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;you can knock out all of your family and wedding party pictures before the ceremony and head straight from the ceremony to the reception! This is a HUGE perk! What fun to join your guests right after the ceremony!

When should hair and makeup begin?

If you are doing a â&#x20AC;&#x153;First Look,â&#x20AC;? ask your photographer or coordinator what time that will take place and count back from there. Your professional stylist will be able to help you determine start time based on the numbers of those getting hair and makeup applied and number of stylists present.

Bonus Question: When traveling for your honeymoon, how should the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s name be listed?

Shout-out to Natchez Travelâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;they guided my husband and me when we were preparing for our honeymoon. A bride books all airfare in the way her name is listed on her current valid ID. Upon her return, she can begin the process of name change!

The top of the gown featured elegant beading from the shoulders to the waist, and the back of the dress was sheer with the same elegant beading as the front. The bride’s table held a beautiful four-tiered vanilla cake with ivory icing.

The groom’s table held a twotiered chocolate cake with chocolate icing, its top layer garnished with chocolate-covered strawberries. Both of the wedding cakes were made by Georgia Blue Bakery.

At the end of the evening, the newlyweds made their exit through a shower of sparklers to an old Chevrolet convertible that was provided by one of the groomsmen.

The couple honeymooned in Castries, Saint Lucia, and is now living in Brookhaven.

During the rehearsal, the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s proxy was Megan Renee Dacus, a cousin of the bride. Prior to the ceremony, the couple shared a discreet First Look at the church, followed by a First Look for the bride and her father. The ceremonyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s program and guest book attendants were the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cousins Megan Renee Dacus and Addie Mae Tomlinson. A reception to honor the newlyweds was held at Sikeston Country Club where all were welcomed with a cocktail hour with music by a jazz trio and then entertained by the Fabulous Motown Revue of St. Louis. Susieâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Bake Shop in Sikeston prepared the wedding cakes. The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cake was a four-tiered and columned traditional white wedding cake with butter cream frosting with its pedestal base nestled in a tall, thick cluster of various white roses and white hydrangeas. Between the OD\HUV ZDV D QDUURZHU FOXVWHU RI WKHVH Ă RZHUV DQG D QRVHJD\ RI them crowned the cake. The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cake, a family recipe of the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s great-great paternal aunt, was a three-layered, vanillabased cake with a thick, home-made, custard-pecan coating.

Catered by the Sikeston Country Club, the receptionâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s delectable fare was highlighted by shrimp and grits as well as jambalaya and beignets, bringing a bit of the Deep South to Missouri.

The newlyweds honeymooned for two weeks in Italy, visiting Tuscany, Florence, and Rome; touring the countryside and wineries, and even learning to make pasta in the home of a welcoming Italian family. Currently, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Taylor are at home in Hernando, Mississippi.

Capturing memorable moments of the wedding ceremony and reception was Rachel Moore Photography of Nashville and Victoria Films of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Floral designs for the wedding party, church, and reception were the creations of Helenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Florist of Sikeston. The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s hair was fashioned by The Hair Loft of Sikeston and her make-up by April Epps of Jackson, Mississippi, and Memphis, Tennessee. All invitations and programs were designed by Jana Alford and printed by Natchez Printing The evening before the wedding, the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s family hosted a rehearsal dinner at River Ridge Winery in Commerce, Missouri. Guests were welcomed to a European Bistro themed setting under the trees with strings of lights above, a guitarist playing in the background, and black-and-white dĂŠcor, white candles, lanterns, wine-cork-lined vessels holding white roses, pictures of the couple, and antlers, a nod to the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s hunting hobby. In a tented, open-bar area, guests enjoyed a slide show of the coupleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lives and were treated to a wine tasting, choosing their favorite bottle of wine to take to their tables.

The newlyweds honeymooned in San Pedro, Belize, and are now at home in New Orleans.

The night before the wedding, the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Natchez Architectural and Art Discoveries in Natchez where guests enjoyed a buffet and beverages while listening to the music of Will Carter of Natchez.

The groom and his attendants and close friends spent the day of the wedding at a hunting camp while the bride and her party were treated to a brunch, featuring Bloody Marys along with shrimp and grits prepared by her father. Hair was fashioned

Marinated crab claws, grilled shrimp, and Thai-style Ceviche shooters along with slow-grilled pork ULEV DQG FKDUUHG IUHVK JXOI Ă&#x20AC;VK VHUYHG RQ the half-shell were some of the delicacies featured as well as coal-roasted sweet potatoes, grilled mixed vegetables, and the coupleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s favorite, a seasonal Sam Tam salad.

James Beard Award-winning pastry chef Beth Biundo, owner of Beth Biundo Sweets in New Orleans, created five stunning cakes for her friends and included almond browned butter, passion fruit, chocolate with salted caramel, triple chocolate, and coconut rum. The cake knife the couple used was the same sterling knife the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s parents had used for their 1982 wedding.

For their champagne toast, the couple used a handmade wedding toasting goblet by well-known Holmesville, Mississippi, artist Robert Acardo. This wedding gift was carved from spalted holly and featured double encapsulated wooden rings on the stem. It was made from the wood of the old Holmesville Courthouse, in which the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s family has deep roots.

Dear family friend Sheila Cowart of Madison, Mississippi, created the bags and custom ribbons featuring Mississippi moss.

An Instax Photo room was set up for guests to take photos with their phones, using fun photo frames, to capture favorite moments from the evening and then print them and hang copies in the room as well as take the photographs with them when they left. Wedding photographer was Beth Hemeter of Image Maker in Summit, Mississippi.

Mississippi wedding planner was Susan Gibbes of Holmes Stationers, and Courtney Bryant and Sarah Worsley of Mint Julep Productions oversaw the New Orleans planning.

This midcentury modern home was built by the Solomon family who built the Solomon Theater at the World War II Museum in New Orleans. The Smith home was featured in a prior Bluffs & Bayous edition.

A â&#x20AC;&#x153;Brunch & Bubblyâ&#x20AC;? out-of-town brunch was held in the Chartres Street former carriage house turned courtyard in the heart of the New Orleans French Quarter and home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Price.

Friends and family members hosted the wedding party and out-of-town guests at this event that featured a jazz combo and amazing NOLA brunch delicacies in the double courtyards.

On the eve of the wedding the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s parents hosted a lavish garden rehearsal dinner at the historic Terrell Guest House on Magazine Street.

Built in 1857, the mansion is now a bed-and-breakfast inn owned by a Mississippi family.

Returning to their favorite cottage in Dijon, France, the couple spent their honeymoon exploring vineyards and markets, visiting with friends, and enjoying their favorite pastime, cooking. The couple has made their home in McComb.

Parents of the bride are the late Michele Bailey of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Robby and Windy Robinson of Purvis, Mississippi. Her grandparents are Charlie Jean Dillard and the late Glen Dillard of Hattiesburg, Bonnie Morse and the late J. O. Morse, and the late Levon and Doris Robinson, all of the Hattiesburg area.

The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s parents are the Reverend LaDon and Darlene Dawson, formerly of Brooklyn, Mississippi, now of Vicksburg. Claude and Rosa Gerald of Brooklyn, Mississippi, and Luther and Eva Dawson of Liberty, Mississippi, are the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s grandparents.

Four attendants wore off-the-shoulder gowns of blue, and the other four wore similar dresses of burgundy. They carried bouquets of silk hydrangeas of the color opposite from their dresses; and they wore rose-gold necklaces with pearl â&#x20AC;&#x153;peas in a pod,â&#x20AC;? given to them by the couple. The daughters also wore rose-gold-and-pearl necklaces.

The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s father served as his best man. Groomsmen were Larry *UDKDP RI 9LFNVEXUJ DQG WKH EULGH¡V IDWKHU 7KH JURRPVPHQ DQG RIĂ&#x20AC;FLDQW all wore blue Wrangler jeans and white button-up shirts, gifts from the bridal couple. In addition, the groom wore a cowhide vest. â&#x20AC;&#x153;The Oneâ&#x20AC;? was played before the couple shared their personally written vows; and instead of a unity candle, they chose to say a unity prayer which included all of their girls.

The barn, set up and decorated by the bride, groom, and family members, served as the perfect backdrop for the reception. WedGLQJ DQG UHFHSWLRQ GHFRUDWLRQV DQG Ă RZHUV ZHUH FUHDWHG E\ many family members with Kaylee Hoeft creating the various signs for the event. Guests signed a cypress plank as the guest book, which now hangs at the couplesâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; home.

Danny Anderson played a variety of songs requested by guests. Jennifer Garraway created the three-tiered wedding cake adorned with blue and burgundy silk hydrangeas; and the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s grandmother fashioned the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s blueberryzucchini cake. Reception food was lovingly prepared by the bride, groom, family, and friends for all to enjoy. A tractor ZLWK LWV IURQW HQG EXFNHW Ă&#x20AC;OOHG ZLWK VRIW GULQNV DQG ZDWHU bottles served as a photo opportunity, adding to the country-farm theme.

Wedding favors were Moon Pies and wooden ornaments cut from a cypress tree and signed by both the

couple and all their daughters in remembrance of their “happily-everafter” day. The sign accompanying the Moon Pies read, “I love you in the morning and in the afternoon. I love you in the evening and underneath the moon.” Larry Walker of Vicksburg captured the special day in a multitude of photos.

Since this was a second marriage for both the bride and groom, they included their daughters in all phases of planning their creative, budgetminded wedding. At the rehearsal, the bride and groom surprised their

girls with rose-gold rings which complemented their necklaces to show their commitment to the girls as “extra” parents.

The newly married couple enjoyed a week-long honeymoon in Branson, Missouri, with a visit to Silver Dollar City where the groom participated in a saloon show. They explored Top of the Rock with its beautiful scenery, ziplined through the mountains, rode the mountain coaster, and dined on Table Rock Lake during a dinner cruise of the showboat Branson Belle.

Rewind Band of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, provided the eveningâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s music with delicious fare furnished by Dunleith Historic Inn. The bridesâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; cake was a three-tiered lemon cake with buttercream icing accented by white and blush garden roses. The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cake was a two-tiered red velvet cake decorated to resemble dress blues with the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s rank atop the cake, all as a nod to his military service. The Bakery Cottage of Vidalia, Louisiana, created both cakes.

The couple left the reception through an avenue of well-wishers, waving AmeriFDQ Ă DJV DQG GHSDUWHG LQ D vintage Rolls Royce for their honeymoon in St. Lucia. Currently, they are at home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

During the evening before the wedding, at the Pilot House in Natchez, the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mother hosted for family and bridal party members a rehearsal dinner where loved ones shared stories and laughs. The morning of the wedding, a brunch on WKH Ă&#x20AC;UVW DQG VHFRQG Ă RRUV RI Dunleith honored the bride and her bridesmaids, treating them to champagne, mimosas, coffee, a light breakfast, and sweets. The groom’s cake, a red velvet layer-cake with a bourbon buttercream icing accented with chocolate ganache, featured a double theme, highlighting both Mardi Gras and Mississippi State.

Both cakes were fashioned by confectioner Molly Manning of Natchez.

Concluding the reception, the couple departed through a jazz Second Line send-off toward their eventual honeymoon in Key West, Florida. They are now at home in New Orleans.

They celebrated with a full Catholic mass as friends and family participated by presenting the readings. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the newlyweds recessed to Alvin Shelbyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cover of â&#x20AC;&#x153;All You Need Is Loveâ&#x20AC;? by The Beatles and took family pictures as well as couple portraits.

The celebration continued with a wedding reception at the antebellum home The Briars.

In this spacious venue, the wedding party along with other family members and guests enjoyed hors dâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;oeuvres and cocktails as toasts went round from the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s father, the best man, the maid of honor, and other friends. Once the couple cut their wedding cake, the reception moved outside to a tent overlooking the Mississippi River for a night of food, drink, and dance to the tunes of VooDoo Entertainment Services of Ball, Louisiana.

The couple honeymooned in Oahu, Hawaii, staying in Waikiki Beach.

The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s â&#x20AC;&#x153;something oldâ&#x20AC;? was a pair of diamond earrings, a gift from the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s father to the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mother upon the birth of the bride. The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s new initials, MVP, and wedding date were monogramed in blue on the inside of her dress and doubled as her â&#x20AC;&#x153;something blue.â&#x20AC;?

In her hand-tied bouquet of white roses, white hydrangeas, anemones, dusty miller, eucalyptus, and succulents, the bride carried a rosary, the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s gift to her and her â&#x20AC;&#x153;something new.â&#x20AC;? The bridal bouquet was adorned with cherished lockets that held photographs of the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s late grandparents.

An Italian station represented the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s heritage and featured traditional Italian favorites such as beef ragu, Sunday tomato gravy, pecorino polenta, and Caesar salad. Following a dream honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Hattiesburg where the bridegroom is practicing as a Family Medicine resident at Forrest General Hospital, and the bride works as a nurse at Merit Health Wesley while pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Complementing her ensemble, the bride wore pearl and diamond earrings, a gift from the groom on the day of the wedding.

The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s bouquet of roses, ranunculus, tulips, gardenias, eucalyptus, and greenery included several sentimental tokens of love: It was hand tied with fabric from her maternal grandmotherâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wedding dress and pinned

The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s father served as best man. Groomsmen included Hayes Lamar Bowman, Brian Benjamin Franklin, James Majure Markow, Douglas Max McDaniel, Jr., Clifford Palmer Rinehart, William Harold Rosenblatt II, and Richard Montague Yerger. The groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s attendants wore classic black tuxedos. The bride gifted the groom with a Brackish bow tie and a wrist watch, both of which he wore with his tuxedo. Program attendants for the ceremony were Estelle Anderson Devereaux, Camille Adelaide Moffett, and Myra Blair Smith, nieces of the bride, and Henry Byrne Moffett, nephew of the bride. Scripture readers for the ceremony were Gene Morgan Stout, Jr., uncle of the bride, and Richard Ethan Zubic, cousin of the groom. The wedding coordinator was Abagail McCary Washington of ĂĄ deux events in Natchez. Flowers for the church and wedding party were by John Grady Burns of Nest in Natchez.

Guests entered the church to the music of an area string quartet composed of David Goldblatt, Larry Koenke, DeWayne Tailor, and David Troutman. Soloist Tremaine Ford captivated the congregation with his rendering of “Surely the Presence” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The videographer was Plugged-In Creative of Monroe, Louisiana.

Following the ceremony, the bridal party boarded the Natchez Trolley for the ride to the reception at antebellum Dunleith Historic Inn. Upon their arrival, the couple toasted one another and their guests and then cut their cakes, both fashioned by Edna Welch of Natchez. The four-tiered bride’s cake, simply decorated with greenery, was topped with her grandparents’ cake topper used seventy-four years prior. Following the cake-cutting, the bride etched her initials and wedding date on a window at Dunleith, a tradition for couples celebrating their weddings there.

Guests danced the night away to music by the Compozitionz and the Love Notes of Jackson. Also unique to the occasion, Natchez artist Kate Lee Laird completed a painting during the

reception, a keepsake capturing for the couple their nuptial festivities. At the close of the evening, guests waved LSU and Ole Miss pompoms as the couple departed Dunleith in a Rolls Royce.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Carriage House on the grounds of antebellum Stanton Hall with Chef Bingo Starr preparing a delicious meal for all. Earlier that day, family and friends hosted a luncheon at Monmouth Historic Inn for the bride and her attendants. The day of the wedding, the bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed mimosas and light snacks at Dunleith while having their hair styled by Tinka Cox and Melissa Marks Partin of Anruss & Company in Natchez. Make-up was by Verde Salon of Baton Rouge.

Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen enjoyed a casual lunch at the bride’s family cabin at Prospect Hill near Natchez, which was also the setting for one of the couple’s first dates and, thereafter, for the groom’s proposal.

Following the wedding, the couple enjoyed a short getaway to New Orleans, Louisiana, and later honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They are now at home in Baton Rouge.

The bride was given in marriage by her father under the rose-draped arch of a majestic Live Oak down by the pond on the property. She wore a Theia Couture ivory silk crepe dress, which draped elegantly to an open, cowl back and lengthy train.

The simple chapel-length veil was held in place by a handmade, art deco bejeweled comb. Complementing the veil was an art deco bejeweled belt accentuating the waistline. On her bridal bouquet of pale roses, the bride placed a blue embroidered handkerchief belonging to her maternal great-grandmother.

McKenzie Anne Smith, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor with Carly Shaye Warner, Carolyn Clair Mullins, Elizabeth Tyson Musser, Grace Glanton Brooks, Janice Ann Carpenter, Kathryn Jean Daniel, Kelly Anne Daniel, Rachel Kathryn Weldy, and Shelby Lee Carter serving as bridesmaids. Following the ceremony, the wedding celebration at Brandon Hall continued into the night with a reception catered by talented Sissy Eidt of Everything Fancee Catering. Guests danced for hours to the music of Radio, Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee. Cakes for the bride and groom were created by the Bakery Cottage. The brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s cake was a tiered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing decorated with

fresh pale-pink roses and greenery. The groom’s cake was designed after the groom’s favorite pastime, snow skiing down the slopes of the Colorado Mountains.

The night before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a seated dinner at the family home of the bride’s grandparents, Carolyn and Sonny Gwin.

After dinner, toasts, and fun stories of the past, outof-town guests and close friends arrived to enjoy the blues of local talent YZ Ealey. On the day of the rehearsal dinner, a champagne brunch at Stanton Hall was hosted by dear friends of the bride and bride’s mother, Betsy Isles, Caroline Isles, Emily Maxwell, Laurie Pere, Jennifer Slover, Noelle Speed, Jana Carpenter and Lisa Carpenter.

On the morning after the wedding, parents of the bride and groom hosted a brunch at Hotel Vue where out-of-town guests could visit and say their good-byes to the new couple. After a wedding trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the bride and groom returned to their home in Denver, Colorado.

Sheer side cutouts of illusion tulle and lace and a plunging V back with pearl buttons running down the center completed the bodice. The all-over, sophisticated sparkle of the gown came from the beading and sequined lace to create one beautiful bridal gown!

The bridal bouquet was awash with color from the mocha rose, burgundy dahlia, and scabiosa interspersed with ivory garden rose and white ranunculus. Lemon leaf and Italian ruscus accents wrapped in ivory satin ribbon completed the look. All bouquets and table arrangements were created by Katie Loyd of Boukates of Atlanta.

Matrons of Honor were two of the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Mississippi State University friends, Brittany McGaha Finney of Nashville, Tennessee, and Kayla McKenzie Maffei of New Orleans, Louisiana. Bridesmaids included Tina Patel of Southaven, Mississippi; Ashley Harvey of Atlanta, Georgia; the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s sister-in-law Olivia Lang Wolfe of Seattle, Washington; and the groomâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s sister Juliet Fleece Auer of St. Petersburg. While outside for photos and a cocktail hour, the attendants wore faux fur wraps given to them by the bride.

Serving as best man was Raleigh â&#x20AC;&#x153;Billyâ&#x20AC;? Greene, a fraternity brother from the University of Florida who now lives in St. Petersburg. Groomsmen were John Herman of Atlanta; Bill Auer, brother-in-law of the groom, of St. Petersburg; and Jeremy Wolfe, brother of the bride, of Seattle. The groom wore a navy bow tie while all of his attendants sported navy neckties with their navy-blue suits. Each had a boutonniere made of

white ranunculus surrounded by lemon leaf and Italian ruscus and wrapped in ivory satin ribbon.

The couple read love letters to each other with the plan to reread them to each other on subsequent wedding anniversaries; and the brideâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s brother, Jeremy Wolfe, said a prayer to bless their union. A most memorable moment occurred when the groom, usually quite calm and in control, FRXOG QRW UHPHPEHU WKH OLQHV ORQJ HQRXJK WR UHSHDW KLV YRZV VR WKH RIĂ&#x20AC;FLant turned his script for Joe to read them.

Keeping everyone on task for the rehearsal and wedding day was the FUHDWLYH ZHGGLQJ SODQQHU /DXUD %XUFKĂ&#x20AC;HOG DQG VWDII RI /DXUD %XUFKĂ&#x20AC;HOG Events of Atlanta. After the ceremony, everyone adjourned to the courtyard and front parlors of Summerour Studio to enjoy a cocktail hour while

the reception area was transformed for a sit-down dinner. Several bars were set up to facilitate the â&#x20AC;&#x153;happy hour,â&#x20AC;? and delightful hors dâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;oeuvres were passed among the guests.

In due time, guests found their place cards with table assignments and returned to the venue area for an evening of dinner and dancing.

The scrumptious dinner buffet was catered by Endive Fine Catering of Atlanta. The three-tiered, semi-frosted wedding cake, adorned by mixed

berries to match the navy-and-wine color scheme used throughout the wedding, was created by Baker’s Man of Atlanta. DJ Joel Rabe with Lethal Rhythms Entertainment Group of Atlanta kept the bridal party and guests on their feet with a wide variety of dance tunes.

A big hit with guests was the photo booth station with all its hats, masks, and boas, also provided by Lethal Rhythms Entertainment Group. The wedding signage and ceremony program were created by the bride’s aunt, Anita Schilling of Vicksburg, along with Baton Rouge, Louisiana, cousin Amanda Brice’s input, and implemented by the bride. Photographer, Laura Stone of Laura Stone Photos of Atlanta, captured a lifetime of memories during the wedding and reception. The videographer was another of the many services provided by Lethal Rhythms Entertainment Group.

The wedding rehearsal was held Thursday evening, October 25, at Loew’s Hotel followed by the rehearsal dinner for immediate family and attendants at Princi Italia Atlanta. Saturday morning, the groom’s father hosted a post-wedding brunch at Publico Atlanta in Midtown Atlanta for extended family and friends who traveled from Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Pennsylvania, California, and Costa Rica.

For an exciting honeymoon trip to South Africa, the couple toured the port city of Cape Town and visited the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder Beach, home of African penguins. The second leg took them to the wine country of Franschhoek for winHU\ WRXUV DQG WDVWLQJV 7KH ÀQDO GHVWLQDWLRQ ZDV 7KRUQ\EXVK *DPH /RGJH DW .UXJHU National Park where they enjoyed daily, open-air game drives to see the “Big Five,” which meant they returned to the United States with beautiful keepsake photos of all the animals.

Joe and Jasmine Fleece and their adorable goldendoodle Wade have recently moved from Atlanta, Georgia, to Houston, Texas, where Joe is employed as CFO at Jones Companies.
