Next year they will be somewhere else Senior portraits get treated like an errand — a yearbook headshot, forty minutes, done. That is not what this is. I have been photographing on this coastline since 2002, and a senior session is my favorite thing we do, because it is the only time I photograph someone at the exact moment they stop being a kid. They arrive nervous and certain they are not photogenic. They leave having seen themselves the way everyone else already does. So we style it properly. We bring in hair and makeup, we scout the light, we shoot two or three looks, and then we sit down together and design something that hangs in your house long after the dorm room is packed up. We plan it with you
A styling call before the session — outfits, colors, locations, and where these are going to hang. We build the look with you rather than asking you to arrive with one, and we file the City of Laguna Beach permit so nobody is negotiating with a ranger on the day. 2
We photograph at golden hour
The coast, the coves, the cactus fields, downtown — whichever suits you. We direct every frame, so there is never a moment of standing there wondering what to do with your hands. Two to three outfit changes, and we photograph you the way a magazine would. 3
We design the artwork together
Two weeks later we sit down and design what actually goes on the wall. You see the images large, in the room they are made for, before you decide anything — and we handle announcements while we are at it.

Albums come in two shapes at the same price — a square 10×10 or a landscape 12×9. We will help you choose the one your images want to live in. Session fee $300, booked separately and not applied to your collection. Individual pieces are available à la carte; seniors ordering separately spend an average of 16–20% more than the collection price. Photographing with friends? One look is a portrait. Two is a story — the coast and then downtown, or the coves and then the open fields above the mission. Different light, different wardrobe, and a set of images that does not look like one afternoon in one spot. It is also the practical answer to a family who cannot agree. The senior gets the editorial one. Mum gets the one on the sand. Weekends only, and a limited number each season — the afternoon belongs to one senior.
The styling is the part nobody expects to matter and everybody mentions afterwards. Having someone do your hair and makeup changes how you stand in front of a camera — and it is included here, not sold to you on the day.

The Editorial Some seniors would rather do this with their friends than alone, and they are right. One afternoon, one location, each senior photographed on their own and then all of you together — the pictures that come out of these end up on four different walls. THE SESSION — $599

Step up to the 10×10 or 12×9 signature album for $596 more. The Feature, The Cover and The Campaign are all open to you, and anything on the à la carte page can be added.
Each senior orders on their own account, and each family reserves with The Spread as their minimum. When every senior has ordered, the group portraits go to all of you as digital files, with a matching 8×10 print for each family.

Golden-hour sessions year round. Summer and early fall go first for the Class of 2027 — book before your senior year starts if you can.
A styling call to settle outfits and locations, hair and makeup booked, and we file the city permit. Two business days' notice minimum.
03 We design your artwork
About two weeks after your session, in the studio on Bent Street — with a parent in the room, because they are usually the one hanging it.
Tell us your yearbook deadline when you book. Most Orange County schools close theirs between December and February, and we will work backwards from yours. Graduation announcements need three weeks. Order by mid-April to have them in hand before the parties start.
