BLUE RIDGE SCHOOL IS PLEASED TO OFFER A NEW TAKE ON ITS PROUD TRADITION OF ALL BOYS, ALL BOARDING, AND ALL COLLEGE BOUND. Beginning in September 2024, BRS will offer a Five-Day Boarding option, which will afford students within an approximately three-hour travel radius the opportunity to enjoy the many benefits of our unique all boarding culture with the option of returning home for most weekends during the academic year. While the academic and developmental benefits of our traditional seven-day structure are well-known, BRS believes a Five-Day Boarding option may be helpful to those families who desire the many benefits of our program but wish to maintain family and/or activity time at the weekend. Similarly, Five-Day Boarding presents an opportunity to relieve day-to-day household pressures which are increasingly common in this post-pandemic era. Busy parents, multiple active children of different ages, carpools and commuting, athletic schedules...a top-quality Five-Day Boarding experience can mitigate all of these variables, allowing more and higher-quality time for academic, athletic and personal growth. BRS is able to present Five-Day Boarding at a price point that represents great value when compared to independent day schools in many metropolitan areas. In 2024/25, Five-Day Boarding will be a pilot program, limited to just 25 students. Important to note, our renowned Fishburne Learning Center is fully available to Five-Day students, as that coursework takes place during the traditional academic week.
