Bourbon and Blue Ridge is a unique one-time event to celebrate the success of the quiet phase of TRUE BLUE - A Campaign for Blue Ridge School. Hosted by the BRS Board of Trustees and National Honorary Chair Julian P. Van Winkle III ‘69, Bourbon and Blue Ridge welcomes you and a guest to enjoy legendary Kentucky hospitality and genuinely wonderful company. Thanks to a growing number of leadership patrons, TRUE BLUE is well on its way towards its $25.5M goal. Over the next five years, these investments will dramatically improve and expand BRS’s dormitory capacity, strengthen its endowment, increase scholarship offerings, renew and improve the Chapel, Lakefront, and Alumni Field while helping to sustain ever-growing operations through the Baron Fund. All proceeds from Bourbon and Blue Ridge will support TRUE BLUE, and will bring BRS evercloser to groundbreaking on a new dormitory and the launch of its public phase.
The itinerary for the evening will be as follows: 5:00 pm V.I.P. Tour of the Buffalo Trace Distillery with bourbon tasting to follow 6:15 pm Cocktail reception at the Club House 7:00 pm Seated dinner and TRUE BLUE presentation 8:15 pm Live auction
hosted by Julian P. Van Winkle III ‘69, who is offering bottles from his personal collection
$500 per person (includes tour, tasting, dinner, and transportation to/from Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate Golf & Resort Spa)
