INCHYRA BLUE Bluebell Fine Cabinetry & Design celebrates leisure with two showroom displays that embrace the growing trend for kicking back at home with a craft cocktail, specialty tea or perfectly pressed espresso in hand. As you’ll see in these pages, we take it up several notches by incorporating the extraordinary features and finishes our discerning clients expect from Bluebell-designed and -manufactured cabinetry. We aren’t just for kitchens! Case in point: Inchyra Blue, our stunning jewel box of a beverage pantry, named for the Farrow & Ball moody bluegray-green paint color that appears here in a glistening 90-sheen finish. Our statement glass-fronted cabinet serves as a display case for elegant serving pieces, the quirky tools of beverage prep and beautiful drinkware. The doors— gracefully framed and gliding smoothly on invisible tracks— establish the degree of excellence that plays out around the room as a unique confluence of tech and tradition.

ld World meets new in this snapshot of marble, bronze and mitered door frames. Marble speaks to tradition, art and ancient times. Solid cast bronze, a key alloy from prehistory,

takes the stage here as a sink, faucet and hardware. For the cabinet door frames, Bluebell chose a large-scale, unadorned sweeping slant detail that harkens as far back as the 11th century’s earliest picture frames. What aren’t as evident: the sink’s stylish curved bottom, the simple raised-edge box-framed drawer fronts and the faucet’s “progressive control” technology in its cross handle that rotates from cold through increasingly warmer temperatures to fully hot. Peter also loves the subdued illumination, which allows the integrated lighting from cabinets, shelving and appliances to deliver its own gentle radiance to the room.

We address the serious wine connoisseur who wants every glass of a favorite malbec or Sancerre to taste as fresh and delicious as the first. This built-in wine dispensing system uses argon gas technology and dual temperature zones for red and white wines to store up to four bottles and keep the contents fresh for up to 60 days without the loss of flavor or natural aroma. With so many options for storing wine and spirits in Inchyra Blue, a particularly welcome feature is the child-safe, WiFi-enabled electronic lock system for the drawers and doors designed to hold alcohol.

For those who are just as devoted to the quality of their morning brew as they are to their evening libations, we have this beverage system. More than just coffee, the station includes options for teas and other hot drinks. This drawer, the first on the left as you enter Inchyra Blue, also holds manual controls for the security system that locks up cabinetry containing alcoholic ingredients.

The meeting of marble and paneling, below left, demonstrates Bluebell’s renowned precision: a collaboration of exceptional excellence in design, manufacture and installation. One of the delights of stone, like this exquisite honed Calacatta marble at right, is in the tale it tells across its span. Every square inch is a piece of art created by nature alone and cut by our specialists who read the stone for the best story. Just look at the detail on this solid cast bronze drawer pull, far right. ur beverage pantry serves wine, spirits, tea and coffee with panache. And as an au courant take on the butler’s pantry, it has also adopted some of that old standby’s

best features, facilitating entertaining with elegance and style. Three examples: this pull-out, non-skid rack that holds linens gently and securely so they come to the table without creases; abundant storage and display space for favorite bowls, pitchers and vases alongside a full complement of glassware for any occasion; and a dedicated drawer lined with protective anti-tarnish cloth and fitted for sterling flatware.

metallic touches. Shelving in our glass cabinet features a metal edge with its concealed lighting. The burnished brass inlay of the bleached Norwegian walnut paneling visually links it to the handsome bronze fixtures and hardware. In such ways, the metals make their own subtle statements that Inchyra Blue is timeless, sophisticated and understated.

Excelsior’s beautifully figured fumed eucalyptus sets off the bar’s polished nickel sink, elegant stone counter and back wall. The lower cabinetry offers up rich walnut interiors with clever features for morning coffee and weekend entertaining. Bluebell-designed mirrored stainless steel and glass doors flank the bar, opening on the near end to a Miele coffee system and specialized storage for related items; on the far end, the well-lit wine refrigerator holds a wide selection and puts each bottle in view for easy choosing.

To achieve a perfect fit with seamless integration between materials—a Bluebell standard—we stage every element. On Excelsior, this means the entire shelving unit was pushed against the back wall of quartzite and the counter was engineered to match up precisely with no gaps. “Everything had to be built on top of something else,” Peter explains, “requiring a highly customized installation for each component.” The result, as you can see, is both stunning and durable.

Excelsior’s upper cabinetry features two types of shelves, each with its own style of precision-engineered integrated lighting. The pull-out edge-lit glass shelving aims the illumination through the glass, making each shelf and the pieces sitting on it glow. In the center section, we set the lights at an angle under the wooden shelves’ front edges, delivering subtle illumination onto that handsome back wall while keeping any glare out of the eyes of seated guests. Door-activated switching can be set to turn on the lights when a section’s door slides open and turn them off when the door is closed.
