Industrial Visit/Tour
The Department of Marine Catering and Hotel Management organized a two day industrial visit / tour for the final year students on 27.09.2019 and 28/09/2019. The students visited a Cheese factory and important tourist places at Kanyakumari and Trivandrum.

The Department of Networking organized a Career Counseling Program for the second and the third year students on 05.08.2019. Mr. B.Nagakumar, CEO - Devspark, Hyderabad, shared his experience with the students. Mr. B.Nagakumar discussed Security Fundamentals, the Importance of Scripting Language and the Job opportunities available in the IT & Networking industry.
The Department of Marine Catering and Hotel Management organized a Seminar on “Entrepreneurship in Hospitality Industry� on 29.08.2019. Mr.P.Srinivasan, Assistant Professor working in IPHC, Mekelle University, Ethiopia, was the Chief Guest He delivered a wonderful and useful discourse on Entrepreneurship in Hospitality Industry.

Peer Teaching Report The Department of Computer Science(SSS) conducted a Peer Teaching session for the students. Ms. S. Shruthikaa of II B.Sc. Computer Science handled a session on 22, August, 2019 for the students of I B.Sc. Computer Science. She explained Memory Unit Concept from the subject “Computer Organisation�. Report On Kalaisaral
‘KalaiSaral’, a non-technical program conducted by the Association Members of the Department of Computer Science, was held on 23, August 2019. This program, that has been conducted from 2017, has made a great comeback this year. The program started at 11.00am with a Prayer song followed by the welcome address which was delivered by Mr. J. Karthick Prabhakaran of II CS. Ms. V. Uma of II CS and Mr. C. Perumal of II CS compered this occasion. The Principal, Dr. B. Ramamoorthy, the Advisor, Dr. R. L. Ramnath, and the Dean, Dr. S. Priya delivered felicitation addresses. They also motivated and encouraged the students to participate in these kinds of programs, regularly. The HoD of CS, Mrs. N. Anuradha, enunciated ways of overcoming difficulties faced in life. A new initiative of the concept of ‘Rolling Trophy’ was taken by the Association members this year. The
Department of CS will be divided into 5 teams: I year-A, II year-B, II year-A, II year-B and III year. The Rolling Trophy will be awarded to the team which scores the highest cumulative point in each such KalaiSaral program. The non-technical events started with ‘Word Play’ conducted by Ms. M. S. Raagem of II CS for all the five teams. Then, ‘Google Doodle Finding’ was conducted by Mr. R. A. Sathish Babu of II CS. In the fresher’s party for the I year students, a contest was announced for taking photographs of grown saplings. The winners of that contest, Ms. Swetha and Ms. Yogasri of I year B Section, were given prizes. The prizes for the winners of KalaiSaral events were given by Mrs. K. P. Maheswari to the students of I year-B section. She also distributed certificates to the students who participated in Workshops. This session ended at 1.00pm with the vote of thanks, delivered by Ms. R. K. Nagadivya of II CS. The students were able to exhibit their talents through this program.

STAFF CONTRIBUTION TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) are dissolved organic and inorganic substances in water. It is measured in milligram per liter. Drinking water containing TDS of less than 300 mg/l has excellent quality, 300mg/l 600mg/l has good quality, 600mg/l -900mg/l has fair quality, 900mg/l – 1200mg/l has poor quality and TDS level above 1200 mg/l is unacceptable for drinking. There is no minimum TDS level defined for drinking water but we should not drink water having TDS level lower than 150 mg/l. A lower TDS value means the water is safe to drink but not pure and it is not healthy for our body. The lower TDS means they are not having
important minerals in the water. The lesser level is better for drinking. But an average TDS level of drinking water can be 300 - 500 mg/litre but if the reading is more then it is suggested not to drink that water. TDS level of drinking water and tap water from our college have been analyzed at Food analytical laboratory on 22/08/2019. The amount of Total Dissolved Substance present in Drinking water (RO) is 115mg/l and in tap water is 846mg/l. As the TDS level in drinking water is lower than 150 it will not contain essential minerals that is necessary to our body. It is suggested to drink water containing more than 150mg/l. இமாலய ராஜாளி தெலங்கானாவைச் சேர்ந்த இயற்கை ஆர்வலர்களையும், பறவையிய லாளர்களையும் அரிதாக வலசை வந்த இமாலய ராஜாளி (Himalayan vulture or Himalayan griffon vulture (Gyps himalayensis) ஆச்சரியத்தில் ஆழ்த்தி விட்டது. சமீபத்தில் தெலங்கானா மாநிலத்தின் பென்சிகாலப்பேட்டை காட்டுப்பகுதியில் இமாலயராஜாளியின் வருகை கண்டறியப்பட்டது. சுமார் 2,000 கி.மீ., த�ொலைவு தெற்கு ந�ோக்கிப் பறந்து வந்திருப்பதுதான் பறவையியலாளர்களை ஆச்சரியத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது. வடக்கில் நிலவும் கடுங்குளிர் காரணமாக அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இமாலய ராஜாளி விந்திய மலை, சாத்புரா மலைகளைக் கடந்து தக்காணப் பகுதியின் காட்டுப் பகுதிக்கு வந்திருக்கின்றது. 2013 க்குப் பிறகு இமாலய ராஜாளியின் நான்காவது வருகையாக இது பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. 7
