The department of Visual Communication has conducted a Guest lecture on

“ The development of New Media�. The

was

held

on

28th

June, 2017.

Mr.G.K. Anandh Varshan, Program Producer, Radaan Media was the chief guest of the Program.

He discussed about structuring a program, producing techniques, and the business behind the television industry. Even though many programs are produced and is reaching the nook and corner of the world, where the viewers are watching the program at all the time, he has given some ideas and advices to produce many innovative and creative programs to reach the global viewers.

The students and the professors of Visual Communication has participated in this Guest Lecture.

FRESHERS’ DAY PROGRAMME

Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science and RL Institute of Management Studies organized the Freshers’ Day Programme on July 1st, 2017 in the college Auditorium. The morning session started at 10.30 am for the departments of Animation, Marine Catering & Hotel Management, Networking, Fire & Industrial Safety and MBA. Afternoon session started by 2.30 pm for the departments Commerce, BBA Logistics & Shipping Management, Computer Science & Security Systems and Visual Communication.

Mr.C.Manikandan Head Department of Visual Communication elucidated about the College infrastructure. Mr.Rajesh Kumar, Head Department of Logistics & Shipping Management gave details about the College and Mr.K.Archunan, Vice Principal, SLCS explained about the Hostel system.

Mahatma School Visit

T

he Mahatma School, Madurai has visited Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai on 15th July 2017. The motto of this visit is to create awareness about the Animation, Visual communication, Security Systems, Marine Catering, Fire and Industrial Safety, Logistics and Banking & Insurance. The students were taken on to a campus tour, where they visited the laboratories in the college.

After the visit, a meeting was arranged in the college auditorium. Principal SLCS, Dr.P.Saravanan addressed the students and explained about the importance of the courses in the college. All the Heads of the Department shared the importance and the job opportunities in their departments.

Finally the students felt it was a useful visit which created awareness about the job oriented courses.

Principles of Management - Book Release Dr.K.Navarathinam, Associate Professor of R.L.Institute of Management Studies has written a book on “Principles of Management� with ISBN No: 978-93-85977-38-1. It was released by our Honorable President Dr.R.Lakshmipathy, the Canara Bank General Manager Mr.Velusamy, Our College Secretary Dr.L.Ramasubbu and the Management Executive Mr.R.Ramkumar. It was a proud moment for the Professor Dr.K.Navarathinam and the management also felt very proud by encourage her.
