Victims of horrific N12 crash may have to be exhumed

Five families that buried their loved ones in the neighbouring country, eSwatini, and Prieska in the Northern Cape last year could soon have to exhume theirbodies Thiscomesafter bones believed to be human remainswerediscoveredina wrecked vehicle by a local scrapyard here in Bloemhof Thesaidvehiclewasinvolved in a horrific accident on the N12 between Bloemhof and Christiana. During an interview with the SABC News, Bloemhof scrapyard owner, Hennie Hyser said, “The police asked us to come and fetch the car We then startedcutting upthevehicle and found some [human] remainsinthecar Wehadno idea what stage it was. ” Hyser said his staff was traumatized adding that:

“Some of my staff have not been able to sleep properly after seeing what they saw ” Meanwhile, the North West Department of Health responsible for the removal of human remains on the scene said they are investigatingthematter
