Althorp has been the country residence of the Spencer dynasty for more than 500 years. Throughout that time this classically English corner of Northamptonshire has been renowned for its discreet hosting of spectacles and entertainments. It is a matchless setting, studded with captivating, photogenic features.

Besides the obvious beauty of the House and Stable Block, Althorp has numerous unusual buildings and landscapes within the park walls as well as in the wider estate. These range from large 17th century houses to quaint cottages, church spires, woodland and farms all within close proximity of each other.

In recent years Althorp has been the venue for a wide variety of glamorous photo shoots – including for Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar, Ralph Lauren and Vanity Fair.
