3 Generations

Hospitality has been at the heart of what we do, ever since our grandparents Nico and Henriëtte de Milliano opened the hotel in the sixties.

Daughter Monique, son René and his wife Brigitte copied the excellent hospitality established by their parents and transformed the bathhouse into a stylish hotel.

Today, the third generation is at the helm: Kimm de Milliano and Anne-Laure de Milliano lead the hotel along with the husband of Anne-Laure, Olivier Bott, and Patrick Dielen.

Gastvrijheid is ons met de paplepel ingegoten sinds het hotel in de jaren zestig werd geopend door onze grootouders Nico en Henriëtte de Milliano.

Dochter Monique, zoon René en zijn vrouw Brigitte keken het voortreffelijke gastheerschap af bij hun ouders en toverden het badhuis om in een stijlvol hotel.

Vandaag de dag staat de derde generatie aan het roer: Kimm de Milliano en AnneLaure de Milliano leiden het hotel met de echtgenoot van Anne-Laure, Olivier Bott, en Patrick Dielen.

The name of our province says it all: Zeeland. Here we traditionally live together with the salt water of the sea. Zeeland fishermen catch the best that the sea has to offer: shrimp, oysters, sea bass, lobster and more. The Zeeland mussels are known and loved far beyond the national borders. In De Blanke Top you can enjoy all the riches of the sea, prepared in an exquisite way.

De naam van onze provincie zegt genoeg: Zeeland. Hier leven we van oudsher samen met het zoute water van de zee. De Zeeuwse vissers vangen het beste wat die zee te bieden heeft: garnalen, oesters, zeebaars, kreeft en meer.

De Zeeuwse mosselen zijn bekend en geliefd tot ver over de landsgrenzen.

THE LAND & THE SEA

Nature and its colours

Nature has infinite colors. You will find many in the vicinity of the hotel. The blue-grey sea with the white foam of the rippling surf. Numerous shades of white-yellow and beige sand. The green dune grass and the deeper green grass of the polders. Deep yellow grains in the fields. Flowers in all colors of the rainbow. And the sky... the beautiful sky with its infinite shades of blue and gray and its reddish-yellow splendor with the coming and going of the day.

De natuur heeft oneindig veel kleuren. U zult er veel vinden in de omgeving van het hotel. De blauwgrijze zee met het witte schuim van de kabbelende branding. Talrijke schakeringen van witgeel en beige zand. Het groene duingras en het dieper groene gras van de polders. Diepgele granen in de velden. Bloemen in alle kleuren van de regenboog. En de lucht... de prachtige lucht met haar oneindige tinten blauw en grijs en haar rood-gele pracht bij het komen en gaan van de dag.

Waterdunen en Storks, gulls, geese and oystercat chers nest in the Waterdunen nature re serve near Groede.

Het Zwin en In the visitor center Het Zwin you will learn more about the flora and fauna of this special nature reserve between Cadzand and Knokke.

Flavors of the sea en Savor the salty flavors of sea laven der and samphire, two wild vegetables typical of the region and grown in soils regularly flooded by salt water.

nl Smaken van de zee: proef de zilte smaken van lamsoor en zeekraal, twee wilde groen tes die typisch zijn voor de streek en groeien in een bodem die regelmatig door zout wa ter overstroomd worden.

Biking the polders

Lighthouse

en The lighthouse at Breskens is the ol dest cast iron lighthouse in the Nether lands and dates from 1867. It is open to the public from Friday to Sunday.

nl De vuurtoren bij Breskens is oudste van gietijzer in Nederland en dateert uit 1867. Van vrijdag t/m zondag is hij toegankelijk voor het publiek.

Smell it

Festivals in the villages en Several village festivals take place in the area during the summer. The most fa mous are the Visserijfeesten in Breskens and the annual market in Groede.

Watching the beach watch en On windy days, the kite surfers come out in Cadzand. This always makes for a fascinating spectacle. nl Op winderige dagen komen de kitesur fers tevoorschijn in Cadzand. Dit levert al tijd een boeiend spektakel op.

Shark teeth

en Looking for shark teeth and small crabs on the beach. The Cadzand bea ches are known as the site of shark teeth from Neogen and Palaogen ages, which are exposed by currents and ebb and flow and then wash up on the beach.

Panoramic sea views

The vast, gently sloping beaches of fine sand are special in every season. Bor dered on one side by the sea and char acteristic skies, on the other side by wide dunes with a dune boulevard of cycling and footpaths.

In summer you can enjoy the sun and sea here, in winter the beach is perfect for getting a breath of fresh air during a brisk walk.

Afterwards you can relax on the ter race or in the brasserie of the hotel with a good glass of wine and a panoramic view of the wide beaches.

Healthy for body and mind

The quality of the beaches and seawa ter have earned Cadzand the title of 'healthy seaside resort'. This good quality has a beneficial effect on the health of residents and visitors. Cadzand, together with Domburg, is the only place in the Netherlands that is allowed to carry this title.

Beach and sea also invite you to be active. The possibilities are endless and grateful use is made of the sea and dunes, beach, and hinterland.

If the weather conditions are good, you will find surfers and kite surfers on the water. In the modern marina of Cadzand, sailing and motorboats come and go.

Panoramische zeezichten

De uitgestrekte, licht glooiende stranden van fijn zand zijn elk seizoen bijzonder. Langs de ene kant afgegrensd door de zee en schilderachtige luchten, aan de andere kant door brede duinen met een duinbou levard van fiets- en voetpaden.

In de zomer geniet u hier van zon en zee, in de winter leent het strand zich perfect om lekker uit te waaien tijdens een stevige wandeling.

Na afloop komt u bij op het terras of in de brasserie van het hotel met een goed glas wijn en een panoramisch uitzicht op de brede stranden.

Gezond voor lichaam en geest

De kwaliteit van de stranden en zeewater leverden Cadzand de titel ‘heilzame zeebad plaats’ op. Die goede kwaliteit zorgt voor een gunstig effect op de gezondheid van bewoners en bezoekers. Cadzand is samen met Domburg de enige plaats in Nederland die deze titel mag voeren.

Strand en zee nodigen ook uit tot actief be zig zijn. De mogelijkheden zijn legio en er wordt dankbaar gebruik gemaakt van zee en duin, strand en achterland.

Als de weersomstandigheden goed zijn vindt u surfers en kitesurfers op het water. In de moderne jachthaven van Cadzand is het een komen en gaan van zeil- en motor boten.

Green hinterland

Cadzand is located in West Zeeland Flanders, an area with tranquility and space. The many polders are interspersed with a number of picturesque villages such as Retranchement or Groede.

Between Groede and Breskens you will find Waterdunen, a nature and recreation area of 350 hectares where the polders are flooded with seawater in a controlled manner, creating a unique flora and fau na.

Sluis is an old fortified town where the ramparts that provided protection are still almost intact. The town hall is the only one in the Netherlands to have a Belfry.

Close to Belgium

Belgium is a stone's throw away, and you can taste it. In that special way the people like to enjoy in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and in the many quality restaurants in the re gion. And in the Belgian beers and other specialties that you can order on every terrace.

Bruges and Ghent each have their own character, but in both you will find a beau tiful historic center that attracts many visi tors every year. You can wander through the old streets, admire the many historic buildings, or let yourself be guided in a boat through the canals. Well worth a visit.

The fashionable Knokke is nearby. Here you can stroll along the Boulevard and sur rounding streets where the most exclusive brands welcome you in stylish boutiques.

Groen achterland

Cadzand is gelegen in West-Zeeuws Vlaan deren, een gebied met rust en ruimte. De vele polders zijn doorspekt met een aantal pittoreske dorpjes zoals Retranchement of Groede.

Tussen Groede en Breskens vindt u Water dunen, een natuur- en recreatiegebied van 350 hectare waar de polders gecontroleerd worden overstroomd met zeewater, waar door een unieke flora en fauna onstaat.

Sluis is een oude vestingstad waar de wallen die bescherming boden nog vrijwel intact zijn. Het stadhuis beschikt als enige in Ne derland over een Belfort.

Vlakbij België

België bevindt zich op een steenworp af stand, en dat proef je. In die speciale manier van genieten die je in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen aantreft. In de vele kwaliteitsrestaurants die de streek kent. En in de Belgische bieren en andere specialiteiten die je op elk terras kunt bestellen.

Brugge en Gent hebben elk hun eigen ka rakter, maar in beide treft u een prachtig historisch centrum dat jaarlijks vele bezoe kers trekt. U kunt dwalen door de oude straten, de vele historische gebouwen be wonderen of u in een bootje laten leiden door de grachten. Zeker een bezoek waard.

Het mondaine Knokke is vlakbij. Hier fla neert u over de Boulevard en omliggende straten waar de meest exclusieve merken u ontvangen in stijlvolle boutiques.
