A history of hospitality Hospitality has been at the heart of what we do, ever since our grandparents Nico and Henriëtte de Milliano opened the hotel in the sixties. Daughter Monique, son René and his wife Brigitte copied the excellent hospitality established by their parents and transformed the bathhouse into a stylish hotel. Today, the third generation is at the helm: Kimm de Milliano and Anne-Laure de Milliano lead the hotel along with Olivier Bott and Patrick Dielen.
Gastvrijheid is ons met de paplepel ingegoten sinds het hotel in de jaren zestig werd geopend door onze grootouders Nico en Henriëtte de Milliano. Dochter Monique, zoon René en zijn vrouw Brigitte keken het voortreffelijke gastheerschap af bij hun ouders en toverden het badhuis om in een stijlvol hotel. Vandaag de dag staat de derde generatie aan het roer: Kimm de Milliano en Anne-Laure de Milliano leiden het hotel met Olivier Bott en Patrick Dielen.

The richness of the sea
The name of our province says it all: Zeeland. Here we traditionally live together with the salt water of the sea. Zeeland fishermen catch the best that the sea has to offer: shrimp, oysters, sea bass, lobster and more. The Zeeland mussels are known and loved far beyond the national borders. In De Blanke Top you can enjoy all the riches of the sea, prepared in an exquisite way.

The beaches of Cadzand are the most southern beaches of the Netherlands. Vast and imperturbable they lie there, while the waves come and go. Bordered by dunes and the green hinterland with polders and villages full of character. Together they form the indispensable ingredients for a visit to De Blanke Top.

Waterdunen Storks, gulls, geese and oystercatchers nest in the Waterdunen nature reserve near Groede. In natuurgebied Waterdunen bij Groede broeden onder andere ooievaars, meeuwen, ganzen en scholeksters.
An excursion A guided excursion through the Waterdunen nature reserve. This area is flooded with seawater in a controlled manner and therefore has a unique flora and fauna. Een begeleide excursie door natuurgebied Waterdunen. Dit gebied wordt gecontroleerd overstroomd met zeewater en kent daardoor een unieke flora en fauna.
Het Zwin In the visitor center Het Zwin you will learn more about the flora and fauna of this special nature reserve between Cadzand and Knokke. In bezoekerscentrum Het Zwin leert u meer over de flora en fauna van dit bijzondere natuurgebied tussen Cadzand en Knokke. Flavors of the sea Savor the salty flavors of sea lavender and samphire, two wild vegetables typical of the region and grown in soils regularly flooded by salt water. Smaken van de zee: proef de zilte smaken van lamsoor en zeekraal, twee wilde groentes die typisch zijn voor de streek en groeien in een bodem die regelmatig door zout water overstroomd worden. Biking the polders Take a bike ride through the polders and see flowers and plants budding, newborn lambs and trees budding. Go out with a picnic basket specially composed by us. Maak een fietstocht door de polders en zie bloemen en planten ontluiken, pasgeboren lammetjes en bomen die in de knop schieten. Ga op stap met een door ons speciaal samengestelde picknickmand.

Lighthouse The lighthouse at Breskens is the oldest cast iron lighthouse in the Netherlands and dates from 1867. It is open to the public from Friday to Sunday. De vuurtoren bij Breskens is oudste van gietijzer in Nederland en dateert uit 1867. Van vrijdag t/m zondag is hij toegankelijk voor het publiek. Smell it In the polders you can smell the fields of grain, barley or flax. In de polders ruikt u de velden met graan, gerst of vlas. Festivals in the villages Several village festivals take place in the area during the summer. The most famous are the Visserijfeesten in Breskens and the annual market in Groede. In de omgeving vinden verschillende dorpsfeesten plaats gedurende de zomer. De meest bekende zijn de Visserijfeesten in Breskens en de jaarmarkt in Groede.
The area around De Blanke Top has a lot to offer and each season has its own accents. De omgeving heeft veel te bieden en elk seizoen legt haar eigen accenten.

Watching the beach watch On windy days, the kite surfers come out in Cadzand. This always makes for a fascinating spectacle. Op winderige dagen komen de kitesurfers tevoorschijn in Cadzand. Dit levert altijd een boeiend spektakel op.
Shark teeth Looking for shark teeth and small crabs on the beach. The Cadzand beaches are known as the site of shark teeth from Neogen and Palaogen ages, which are exposed by currents and ebb and flow and then wash up on the beach. Op zoek naar haaietanden en kleine krabbetjes op het strand. De Cadzandse stranden staan bekend als vindplaats van haaietanden uit Neogen en Palaogen, die door stroming en eb en vloed worden blootgelegd en aanspoelen op het strand.
A historic walk A walking tour along the ramparts of Sluis. Een wandeltocht langs de eeuwen oude wallen van Sluis. Old rally cars The Knokke Zoute Rally takes place in the autumn, in which dozens of classic cars compete against each other. In het najaar vindt de Knokke Zoute Rally plaats, waarbij tientallen klassieke wagens het tegen elkaar opnemen.

Panoramic sea views The vast, gently sloping beaches of fine sand are special in every season. Bordered on one side by the sea and characteristic skies, on the other side by wide dunes with a dune boulevard of cycling and footpaths. In summer you can enjoy the sun and sea here, in winter the beach is perfect for getting a breath of fresh air during a brisk walk.
De uitgestrekte, licht glooiende stranden van fijn zand zijn elk seizoen bijzonder. Langs de ene kant afgegrensd door de zee en schilderachtige luchten, aan de andere kant door brede duinen met een duinboulevard van fiets- en voetpaden. In de zomer geniet u hier van zon en zee, in de winter leent het strand zich perfect om lekker uit te waaien tijdens een stevige wandeling. Na afloop komt u bij op het terras of in de brasserie van het hotel met een goed glas wijn en een panoramisch uitzicht op de brede stranden.

This good quality has a beneficial effect on the health of residents and visitors. Cadzand, together with Domburg, is the only place in the Netherlands that is allowed to carry this title. Beach and sea also invite you to be active. The possibilities are endless and grateful use is made of the sea and dunes, beach, and hinterland.
Sluis
De kwaliteit van de stranden en zeewater leverden Cadzand de titel ‘heilzame zeebadplaats’ op. Die goede kwaliteit zorgt voor een gunstig effect op de gezondheid van bewoners en bezoekers. Cadzand is samen met Domburg de enige plaats in Nederland die deze titel mag voeren. Strand en zee nodigen ook uit tot actief bezig zijn. De mogelijkheden zijn legio en er wordt dankbaar gebruik gemaakt van zee en duin, strand en achterland. Als de weersomstandigheden goed zijn vindt u surfers en kitesurfers op het water. In de moderne jachthaven van Cadzand is het een komen en gaan van zeil- en motorboten.

Cadzand is located in West Zeeland Flanders, an area with tranquility and space. The many polders are interspersed with a number of picturesque villages such as Retranchement or Groede.
Cadzand is gelegen in West-Zeeuws Vlaanderen, een gebied met rust en ruimte. De vele polders zijn doorspekt met een aantal pittoreske dorpjes zoals Retranchement of Groede.
Between Groede and Breskens you will find Waterdunen, a nature and recreation area of 350 hectares where the polders are flooded with seawater in a controlled manner, creating a unique flora and fauna.

Sluis is an old fortified town where the ramparts that provided protection are still almost intact. The town hall is the only one in the Netherlands to have a Belfry.

Close to Belgium Vlakbij België Belgium is a stone's throw away, and you can taste it. In that special way the people like to enjoy in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen and in the many quality restaurants in the region. And in the Belgian beers and other specialties that you can order on every terrace. Bruges and Ghent each have their own character, but in both you will find a beautiful historic center that attracts many visitors every year. You can wander through the old streets, admire the many historic buildings, or let yourself be guided in a boat through the canals. Well worth a visit. The fashionable Knokke is nearby. Here you can stroll along the Boulevard and surrounding streets where the most exclusive brands welcome you in stylish boutiques.
