Instrumentation: Player 1: 3 Tom-toms (or floor tom, or snare drums with snares off) Player 2: 2 Bongos, 2 cowbells Player 3: 5 Temple Blocks
Performance Notes: - For each player the instruments can be arranged in any order, i.e. the “highest’ note on the staff doesn’t necessarily represent the highest pitch. - Dynamics vary freely, but generally in the p-pp region, never more than mf. - The first of any notes that are beamed together is always accented. - noted standing alone are accented when so marked, as are other notes. - Barlines are for orientation only. Feel your own accent as the beat. -All players use soft marimba mallets (temple blocks will have to be played slightly louder.)
