Holmes Invitational Tournament at Black Rock
August 3 – 6, 2026
Format: Individual Quota – Players will receive points based on their gross score on each hole.
Double Bogey = 0 points
Bogey = 1 Point
Par = 2 Points
Birdie = 3 Points
Eagle = 4 Points
Double Eagle = 5 Points
Players quotas are determined by subtracting their handicap from 36. Quotas will be adjusted every day based on play.
Adjustments to your quota for the next round will be made according to the following chart.
Even, ½ or -½ No Adjustment
+1 or 1 ½ = ½ added to quota
+2 or 2 ½ = 1 added to quota
+3 or 3 ½ = 2 added to quota
+4 or 4 ½ = 2 ½ added to quota
+5 or 5 ½ = 3 added to quota
+6 or 6 ½ = 3 ½ added to quota
+7 or 7 ½ = 4 added to quota
+8 or 8 ½ = 5 added to quota
+9 or 9 ½ = 6 added to quota
+10 or 10 ½ = 7 added to quota
+11 or 11 ½ = 7 ½ added to quota
+12 = 9 added to quota
-1 or 1 ½ = No Adjustment
-2 or 2 ½ = 1 removed from quota
-3 or 3 ½ = 1 ½ removed from quota
-4 or 4 ½ = 2 removed from quota
-5 or 5 ½ = 2 ½ removed from quota
-6 or 6 ½ = 3 removed from quota
-7 or 7 ½ = 3 ½ removed from quota
-8 or 8 ½ = 4 removed from quota
-9 or 9 ½ = 4 ½ removed from quota
-10 or 10 ½ = 5 removed from quota
-11 or 11 ½ = 5 ½ removed from quota
-12 or above = 6 removed from quota
Due to new players, team adjustments may be made by the tournament committee only!
Rules and Information for the Event:
1. USGA Rules apply to cart path relief.
2. Drop from sprinkler heads and drains to nearest point. Stance included.
3. Golf Course maintenance, ask for a ruling.
4. You can putt at the pin, but if you have it tended, it must be pulled.
5. Anchoring ban is not in effect.
6. The USGA rule regarding groove depth is not in effect.
7. Sprinkler Head Rule Around Green (Modified). Ball must be in fairway cut. Ball must be within 23½ inches of sprinkler head and sprinkler head must be within one driver length of the green for relief on line of putt.
8. 14 club rule is not in effect.
9. Gimmie circle – any ball that is inside or touching the gimmie line around every hole is good – if the ball is outside the circle, putt it!
10. Local Rule Modification – you may play from any flower bed. The ball is deemed to be in a penalty area.
11. You may not identify your golf ball without first notifying a fellow competitor in the group.

Team Payouts
Each day 16 teams will be drawn with an “A” player and a “B” player. The top 4 teams each day will receive an award with the following payouts (all ties will split money with the exception of 4th place):
1st Place $15,000
2nd Place $13,000
3rd Place $9,000
4th Place $6,000
Individual Payouts
For the 3-Day event each player will play an individual quota format. At the end of the 2nd day there will be a championship flight and a consolation flight. The remaining players will play a 1Day event for a separate purse with their scores being reset to 0 (zero) The payouts for the individual events are as follows (all ties will split money with the exception of 8th place):
Tournament Championship payouts (3-day total):
1st Place $24,000
2nd Place $21,000
3rd Place $16,000
4th Place $13,000
5th Place $11,000
6th Place $10,000
7th Place $8,000
8th Place $7,000
1-Day Thursday only event for cut participants, Consolation payouts, (all ties will split money with the exception of 2nd place):
1st Place $7,000
2nd Place $4,000
*A scorecard playoff will break any ties for the last placed paid (i.e., 4th Place for Team payouts, 8th Place for Championship payout and 2nd Place for Consolation payout). The first tiebreaker is the total of holes 16-18 and the second tiebreaker is the total of holes 7-9. If teams/individuals remain tied after the two tiebreakers, then all those remaining will split money.
