They include major thoroughfares such as Fraser Highway, 200th Street, and other key roads. There are another 200 km of second-priority roads that can be dealt with after the first priority roads are clear. “There’s no way we have enough equipment or time to every road in the Township,” Edey noted. Mother Tara Kurtz explained she has “to drive all backroads to get to the school, and those roads are never salted or plowed.” “Better safe than sorry,” Kurtz added. More snow was expected Tuesday evening, after press deadlines. Both Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley were expected to see 5 to 10 centimetres of snow by Wednesday morning, and a few more centimetres throughout the day.
