Charlie Gandy was truly a man with a vision. He had positioned to open his business Gandy installations at the perfect time. In 1957, with a turn of a valve at the corner of Roberts Road (56th Avenue) and Johnston Townsline Road (216th Street) natural gas flowed into Langley City mains. Township Reeve Bill Poppy and City Mayor E.E. Sendall turned the valve together.

For the first time, Langley households were able to enjoy the efficient and constant warmth of natural gas fired furnaces. And Atwell/Gandy which would later become Gandy Installations opened that very year, and was there to help those families out!

Since that time, Gandy Installations is one of the most trusted companies in the industry, with over 62 years of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) experience. Taylor started with the company right after high school, as a delivery driver, and made his way up through the service department, eventually moving into management with his father Chuck.
