Feeds a Child for the entire school year! To help a child get through their weekend, each backpack is filled with 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners along with snacks and 3 pieces of fresh fruit. Every week these backpacks are delivered to each child’s school so they can easily pickup the backpack and take it home with them for the weekend.

You’ve already raised over 109 backpacks for this year! That’s 109 children that will now have something to eat over the weekends. BUT, more is needed. If you or your company/organization wish to support MeadowRidge Rotary’s Starfish Pack Program for the 2018-2019 school term, please drop off or mail your cheque to the Friends in Need Foodbank in Maple Ridge (PLEASE write “Starfish program” in the memo line). You can also drop off funds at The Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News at 22611 Dewdney Trunk Road (parking at back of building off laneway). Or you can call Ineke at 604-467-2420 and ask for more information. All donations over $20 receive a tax receipt.
