Raising funds for Nanaimo Regional General Hospital

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, But the fire is so delightful, And since we’ve no place to go, Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

You know Dasher and Dancer And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid And Donner and Blitzen.

But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all?

It doesn’t show signs of stopping, And I brought some corn for popping; The lights are turned way down low, Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

When we finally say good night, How I’ll hate going out in the storm; But if you really hold me tight, All the way home I’ll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying, And, my dear, we’re still good-byeing, But as long as you love me so.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Help us to raise funds for medical equipment. Surgical lights to ultrasound equipment, the list is extensive and critically important to NRGH. The goal;

we must raise $525,000!

During the month of December donations will be represented by lighting trees outside of NRGH. The closer we are to reaching the goals, the more trees will be lit!

Frosty the Snowman Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul, With a corncob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal.

Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say, He was made of snow but the children know how he came to life one day.

There must have been some magic in That old silk hat they found.

For when they placed it on his head he began to dance around.

O, Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be, And the children say he could laugh and play just the same as you and me.

Thumpetty thump thump, thumpety thump thump, Look at Frosty go.

Thumpetty thump thump, thumpety thump thump, Over the hills of snow.

Frosty the snowman knew the sun was hot that day, So he said, “Let’s run and we’ll have some fun now before I melt away.”

Down to the village, with a broomstick in his hand, Running here and there all around the square saying, Catch me if you can.

He led them down the streets of town right to the traffic cop.

And he only paused a moment when he heard him holler “Stop!”

For Frosty the snow man had to hurry on his way, But he waved goodbye saying, “Don’t you cry, I’ll be back again some day.”

Thumpetty thump thump, thumpety thump thump, Look at Frosty go.

At Christmas time each year the community newspapers of Black Press organize and promote the PENNIES FOR PRESENTS CAMPAIGN, which raises money for charity. For more than 20 years the PENNIES FOR PRESENTS campaign has raised more than $170,000 (in Nanaimo alone!) in pennies, nickels, dimes and other change for various local community charities. Frank Legh was the founder and driving force behind the Pennies for Presents, and in honour of Frank’s memory we will be continuing this campaign, now called Coins for Kids.

We thank you for your continued support of The Great Nanaimo Toy Drive and The Nanaimo Boys and Girls Club.
