20TH ANNUAL AWARDS
Advance readers pick their favourites
HEATHER COLPITTS/LANGLEY ADVANCE
You were voted No. 1. Langley Advance’s sales team, (left to right) rep Alison Linden, publisher Lisa Farquharson, reps Cheri Gray and Christine Patouillet, as well as sales manager Peggy O’Brien congratulate all of this year’s Best of the Best winners. Awards will be presented at a private reception Thursday, Aug. 31. Other images are from last year’s Best of the Best awards ceremony at The Redwoods Golf Course.
Join us in celebrating Langley’s Best of the Best businesses and commending them for a great job. Langley is inherently rich with exceptional businesses. From the Ma-and-Pa owned operations to the chain and franchise companies that are spread throughout this community, there are hundreds worthy of recognition. Today, the Langley Advance is once again honoured to recognize and celebrate such excellence by presenting the Langley’s Best of the Best awards. This is a 20-year tradition that Langley Advance readers and local businesses embrace, said publisher Lisa Farquharson. Your community newspaper since 1931, the Langley Advance offered its readers a chance to vote – online or through a newspaper ballot – for Langley businesses they feel deserving of the Best of the Best status. Readers took the time to vote for their favourites, sending in more than 1,000 ballots. “Congratulations to all the businesses who are being acknowledged for their outstand-
ing customer service and exceptional quality products – they are the people who help make this community a wonderful place to live, eat, and shop,” Farquharson said. “Year after year, our readers support their favourites in the community – from their favourite dentist to favourite restaurant, and everything in between.” Sharing Albert Einstein’s sentiment ‘Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value,’ Farquharson said “all these winning businesses offer great value to our community and their clients and thus are a HUGE SUCCESS!” This year is “extra special” with this being the 20th anniversary of the Langley Advance’s Best of the Best awards, she said. To help mark the occasion, six new categories were added for 2017, including best community volunteer, as well as best day care, green business, art studio, non-profit, and preschool. Take a few moments to browse through today’s special Best of the Best edition and acquaint yourself with this year’s winners. After all, you might wish to visit their establishments soon and see for yourself what makes them truly worthy of this recognition.
CONGRATULATIONS Big THANK YOU to all the participants who entered. 20

Jonker Honda of Langley continues to shatter sales records month after month! Stop by today and see all the new 2017 Honda vehicles, including the BRAND NEW 2018 Honda Odyssey Van, on display now!
CIVIC *4 5)& #1 SELLING $"3 */ $"/"%"
We were looking for a new 2015 Honda CR-V Touring, tried
two other dealerships, they did not have any in stock. We found one in the Jonker Honda dealership, where we were dealing with sales consultant Alan Cheung. Because of Alan’s professional attitude which has impressed us we decided to purchase this particular vehicle. The car was ready in a few days since we have ordered extras, and this took some time to get and deliver to the dealership. The buying process was quite convenient and friendly, we would recommend Alan to our friends. ~ A.V.
201 CRV
This was my first time buying a car, and Alan made the whole process really easy and laid back. Alan was super nice and extremely knowledgeable during my two visits. I never once felt pressured – he let me take my time, checking all the features of the Honda Fit 2015, and answered any questions that I had immediately. I would definitely recommend Jonker Honda to others! ~ M.P.
2018 ODDYSEY Our recent new car purchase at Surrey/Langley Jonker Honda was due to the sales consultant’s knowledge of the product, high level of professionalism with a courteous and honest manner. After much research on our part in seeking the perfect car, Erick and Byron had great instincts in helping us make the right choice. This dealership’s business office staff are to be commended as well. All of the staff that we have been in recent contact with are a credit to this car dealership. Also, by purchasing at a local/ nearby and reputable car dealership seemed to us a practical after sales option. We expect that there will be continued quality assurance gained by our car purchase at Langley Jonker Honda. ~ S.S.
I called to ask questions about a used car on the lot and Frank was amazing. Very informative and never any pressure. When I came down to the dealership from Vancouver, Frank made the entire experience comfortable. I had other options at dealerships and private sales and I felt so looked after that I didn’t want to buy from anywhere else. I highly recommend coming to Jonker Honda for your next new or used vehicle. Ask for Frank! ~ K.S.
