TOWN OF INNISFAIL Exploring the Innisfail Tourism Region in Central Alberta gives you a chance to start your journey in one of the most attraction-rich areas of the province. More than 260 years after the first European explorers discovered this wild and breathtaking area with its spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains, adventurous souls are still coming here to experience all the culture, history and excitement the region has to offer. From close encounters with cheetahs, lions and bears at the Discovery Wildlife Park, to an afternoon of strawberry picking at The Jungle Farm, to making ice cream at the Markerville Creamery, there’s no shortage of great activities to enjoy every day in the Innisfail Tourism Region. Why stop there? Soak up the sun with a day of waterskiing, fishing or picnicking at beautiful Gleniffer Lake, drift lazily along the Red Deer River or embrace your wild side with three days of action at the Innisfail Pro Rodeo in June. We’ve packed so much excitement, adventure and enjoyment for the entire family into the region that it’s a wonder we’re not bursting at the seams!
