Nobody was injured when shots were fired at a home on Deertrail Avenue in Abbotsford early Sunday morning. Const. Ian MacDonald said police are “extremely concerned” about the incident and the threat it posed to public safety. But while the incident occurred in the Townline Hill area, MacDonald said police do not believe it is connected to the ongoing gang conflict there that has resulted in several shootings and two murders. The latest shooting took place at about 5:45 a.m. Sunday, when the Abbotsford Police Department received calls reporting gunfire in the 31000 block of Deertrail Avenue – located just west of Townline Road. MacDonald said about six shots were fired, and officers who arrived on the scene discovered that a home in the area had been struck by three bullets, which entered a living room and kitchen. MacDonald wasn’t sure how many people were in the home, but all were sleeping at the time and nobody was hit by the shots. He said none of the residents of the home is known to police, and they are co-operating with investigators. The movie, which is a Lifetime original production, is based on the life of NBA star Kevin Durant’s mom. Crews shot several scenes, using local businesses as the backdrop. The film is scheduled to be broadcast on Mother’s Day (May 8) on Lifetime.

Every aspect of my experience was exceptional. The average car salesman could learn a lot from JP. I live 50 minutes from Magnuson and drive past 3 Ford stores on the way. I look forward to making the drive again for my next Ford purchase.
