Local charities need help in final push towards Christmas Pamela Roth Victoria News

In order to make sure everyone has a merry Christmas this year, local charities are calling on Victorians to open their wallets, if they haven’t already. During the past few days, the Mustard Seed has distributed 1,200 hampers that include a turkey, produce and an abundance of nonperishable goods. Threehundred of those are for families.

Thanks to food donations year round, the shelves at the Mustard Seed are looking rather healthy these days. It’s the financial goal of reaching $1 million before the new year that needs some attention. According to Allan Lingwood, interim executive director for the Mustard Seed, approximately $500,000 has been raised thus far that will go towards a number of programs. Lingwood is confident Victorians will come
