On the first day of Christmas, My true love gave to me: a partridge in a pear tree

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. But do you recall, the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose And if you ever saw it You would even say it glows (like a light bulb)

Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say "Rudolph with your nose so bright Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

All of the other reindeer Used to laugh and call him names (like Pinocchio) They never let poor Rudolph Join in any reindeer games (like Monopoly)

Then all the reindeer loved him (loved him) As they shouted out with glee (yippee!) Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer You'll go down in history! (like Columbus)

Silent Night Silent night, Holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon virgin, mother and child Holy infant, tender and mild

Silent night, Holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace,

Silent night, Holy night Shepherds quake, at the sight Glories stream from heaven above Heavenly, hosts sing Hallelujah.

Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.

Jesus, Lord at thy birth Jesus, Lord at thy birth.

Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.

Silver Bells

City sidewalks, busy sidewalks Dressed in holiday style In the air there's a feeling of Christmas Children laughing, people passing Meeting smile after smile And on every street corner you hear Chorus: Silver bells, silver bells It's Christmas-time in the city Ring-a-ling, hear them ring Soon it will be Christmas day Strings of street lights, even stop lights Blink a bright red and green As the shoppers rush home with their treasures Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch This is Santa's big scene And above all this bustle you hear Repeat chorus

O Holy Night

O holy night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary soul rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Holiday Season

Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming Here come the wise men from Orient land The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus Underneath the mistletoe last night

Have yourself a merry little Christmas Let your heart be light From now on your troubles will be out of sight

She didn't hear me creep Down the stairs to have a peep She thought that I was tucked up In my bedroom fast asleep

Have yourself a merry little Christmas Make the Yuletide gay From now on your troubles will be miles away

I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus Underneath his beard so snowy white

Here we are as in golden days of yore Faithful friends who are dear to us Gather near to us, once more

Oh what a laugh it would have been If Daddy had only seen Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night

Through the years we all will be together If the fates allow Hang a shining star upon the highest bough And have yourself A merry little Christmas, now

Cream Cheese Icing 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick) 2 ounces of cream cheese 3/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger

Pancakes 3/4 cup of buttermilk 1/4 cup of applesauce 2 tablespoons of brewed coffee 2 tablespoons of dark molasses 2 tablespoons of water 1 large egg 1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder 1/2 tablespoon of ground cinnamon 1/2 tablespoon of ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Directions: Prepare the cinnamon filling first. Keep in mind that the texture should be like a toothpaste consistency. Mix the ingredients in a small pan over low heat or in a microwave in a microwave safe bowl. Melt the butter and mix in the sugar and spices. It will be quite liquidy at first, that's normal. Once it has cooled a little then scrape it into a ziplock bag and let it sit for half an hour. Wait for it to achieve that toothpaste type consistency, every now and then squish the bag a bit so the butter does not separate. 2. Prepare the icing. Mix icing ingredients in a medium to low heat saucepan until the butter and cream cheese are melted. Whisk ingredients together until all smooth. Set aside to use when pancakes are ready. 3. Prepare the pancake batter. In a large bowl whisk together the buttermilk, applesauce, coffee, molasses, water and egg. In a separate bowl mix together the remaining dry ingredients. Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. Now check on your cinnamon filling and see if it is the toothpaste consistency it needs to be, if it is then you can begin! Preheat griddle or frying pan to medium heat and spray non stick spray or add a little butter (or coconut oil if you like). Pour half a cup of pancake mix onto griddle and reduce heat to medium low. While that is cooking squish the cinnamon filling again and cut the corner off the ziploc bag and squish some on top of the pancake in a swirly shape, starting in the middle and swirling out. Let it cook for approximately 3 minutes or til you see bubbles popping around the edges and gently flip, quickly. Cook for another minute or 2 and then put it on a plate with cinnamon swirl side up. Drizzle some icing on top of the pancake and serve! Makes 6 delicious pancakes!

Directions: Shortbread 1. Preheat oven to 300 F (150 C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. To make chocolate shortbread base, mix flour and cocoa powder. Set aside. 3. In large bowl, using either electric handheld or stand mixer, beat butter until fluffy. Gradually beat in brown and white sugars and vanilla until blended. Gradually beat in flour mixture, switching to wooden spoon when dough is too stiff for mixer. 4. Pat dough into a disk. Place on parchment-line sheet. Roll dough as close to a square or rectangle shape as you can, 1/4-inch (5-mm) thick. Prick dough every 2 inches with fork. Bake on middle rack of oven 25 to 30 minutes, until top is no longer shiny. Remove from oven to cool completely.

Peppermint Topping 1. Make top layer by melting white chocolate and butter in bowl set over simmering water. Mix in water. Remove from heat. Beat in icing sugar until smooth. Spread over cooled chocolate shortbread. 2. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candy. Allow top layer to firm up at least 30 minutes at room temperature. Slide shortbread off parchment onto cutting board. Using a large sharp knife, trim edges to straighten sides (scraps can be eaten as cook’s treat). Cut trimmed piece into 1-inch squares. Note: Store in single layer in sealed container in cool dry place up to 2 days.
