Joel Tansey reporter@thegoldenstar.net The Golden Food Bank is one of the few food banks in the region that doesn’t receive any form of municipal funding, and the food bank’s president and general manager would like to see that change.

food is not a significant need, but the Golden Food Bank has plenty of it, distributing $350,000 worth on an annual basis. Between its position on the highway, the generosity of locals and the organization’s very successful food recovery program, the food bank has plenty of food coming into its facility every year.
