Welcome To Riverboat Days 2015 Welcome to Riverboat Days 2015, when we come together to appreciate the history, culture and natural beauty of the Skeena Valley. Riverboat Days is a promise of variety, family-fun and quality. The 2015 line-up will surely deliver on that promise. With over 55 events it is one of the largest Riverboat Days ever, offering everything from heart-stopping aerial acrobatics on motorbikes to interpretive walks on local history.Among the new events this year is a series of Summer Arts Festival workshops for young and old, trivia contests hosted at the Legion and a top-class Taekwondo competition to kick-start the festivities. And for a younger audience we are especially excited to have Victoria’s renowned Story Theatre come to Terrace this year to offer two fun and inspiring theatre performances. At the heart of Riverboat Days is George Little Park—the Farmers Market, displays and workshops at the art gallery, an outdoor inter-ministerial church service, City Hall’s Pancake Breakfast, and, of course, Concerts in the Park. Concerts is a full day of the best bands in the region, closing with an amazing headline act.Taking the stage this year is Juno award winning Kenny Shields and Streetheart! They could be the highlight of our summer as they bring a repertoire of gold and platinum hits like Hollywood and What Kind of Love is This?.
Riverboat Days is a community festival. Its success is the result of hard-working volunteers, committed business and sponsors, enthusiastic media and support from First Nation and local governments. The Riverboat Days Society receives annual funding from the City of Terrace and Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine augmented with corporate sponsorship. We especially appreciate the financial support provided the Society this year by LNG Canada and BC Hydro. Be safe. Have fun. It’s Riverboat Days 2015!!
