Vancouver Memorial Services & Crematorium 604-325-8251 NOBLE, Doris Esther (nee Lucht)

BALOGH, Anne Josephine Sept. 9, 1943 - July 12, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Anne was born in Banbridge, Northern Ireland to Josephine and Daniel Sweeney. Anne was the eldest of nine children and was an excellent student who qualified for her RN, SRN and MW at Belfast City Hospital. On holiday, she met her loving husband Attila Balogh in Toronto and they quickly fell in love and married. In 1972, Anne and Attila moved to Vancouver to be closer to Attila’s family. Anne and Attila sponsored her parents and six siblings to come to Canada from Northern Ireland. In 1973 their first child, Steven was born and three years later daughter Allison arrived. Anne worked as an RN and Midwife at Richmond Hospital from 1974 to 2003 and many of her fellow nurses and coworkers remained close friends up until her passing. Anne was a wonderful grandmother to her four grandchildren Emma, Aidan, Dylan and Lauren and the very best big sister to Maura, Geraldine, Frances, Terry, Carmella, Donal, Imelda and Raymond. She was a much loved auntie and the CEO of the Sweeney clan. Anne will live forever in our hearts and we are so thankful for the difference she made in our lives. Family and friends will gather at Quilchena Golf & Country Club 3551 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:30 in the afternoon to celebrate her life. If you plan on attending, we ask that you refrain from dressing in dark clothing.

Doris Esther Noble passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on July 12, 2015 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of George, cherished mother of Larry (Jane), Wayne (Sheila), and Garth (Robin); much-loved grandmother of Nicolas and Jake, Jennifer (Corey), Susan (Keith) and George, Richard, Michael (Brittany) and Jessica (Chris); treasured great-grandmother to Alyssa and Landon, Cody and Cameron, a little one on the way, and Sydney; dear sister of Elmer (Alice), devoted mother-in-law to Dave Girling and cherished relative & friend to too many more to count, is now reunited with her loving daughter Corrina Irene, who predeceased her in 2010. Our hearts are heavy and saddened by our loss. However, we also celebrate the joyous life of Doris and we know that she is watching us all from Heaven above. A celebration of Doris’ life will be held in the near future. If you wish to honour Doris,

a donation to the Richmond Hospital Foundation, Oncology Unit (604 244-5252) would be very much appreciated.
