Wet weather kept the spectators away from the sixth annual Snowmobile Drags sponsored by the Kettle Valley Racing Association (KVRA). But the riders were there, coming from across the province and across the international border. The start was aided this year by the use of launch pads made from old snowmobile tracks mounted on plywood. Despite the puddles the day was a relatively nice—the rain that had caused all the puddles in the first place held off for most of the day. KVRA turned the concession over to the grad class this year— and they were flipping burgers and keeping everyone happy all day long. The KVRA is a group of volunteers and local business owners who exist to increase local economic activity through racing.

Not much can slow down a snowmobiler intent on seeing the winning flag raised over their lane. Action was fast, furious and wet at the 6th Annual Snowmobile Drag Races at Midway Airport last weekend sponsored by the Kettle Valley Racing Association.
