VOTING INFORMATION What is the election all about? Electors will be asked to vote for one Mayor, and up to six Councillors, two Cultus Lake Park Board Commissioners, and seven School Trustees for Chilliwack School District No. 33.

Do I qualify to vote? You may vote in the election as a resident elector if you meet all of the following requirements on the day of voting: •t •t •t

How do I register to vote? If you qualify to vote, you DO NOT need to register PRIOR to Election Day. Registration of all electors for this election will take place at the time of voting.

Can I vote if I own property in Chilliwack but live somewhere else? You may be eligible to vote in the election if you own property in Chilliwack but live in another municipality. If there are other owners on the title of the same property, you will need the consent of the majority of property owners. A Non-Resident Consent form is available on our website at www.chilliwack.com/elections. Please fill it out and bring it with you on the day of voting.

What if I need assistance to vote? Local governments are required to make voting places as accessible as possible to people with disabilities or limited mobility. If you find it difficult to enter a voting place, but can make it to the parking lot or the curb outside, you may request an election official to bring you a ballot. If you are unable to mark your own ballot, you may ask an election official, friend, or relative to help you. If you need a translator, you may bring someone to assist you.

How do I vote? 1. On Voting day, report to the voting place of your choice between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm. 2. An election official will provide you with a ballot. Proceed to the voting booth to mark your ballot. 3. Proceed to the voting machine, insert your ballot, and you’re finished! REMEMBER: to register to vote you must bring at least TWO pieces of identification that provide evidence of your identity AND place of residence.
