Forums showcase candidates Boundary Country Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. in the Midway Community Hall. Candidates for village council and Area E rural director are invited to attend. The Greenwood Board of Trade will host a forum at McArthur Centre in Greenwood for candidates for mayor and councillor in the city. Date is still to be confirmed at press time. It was originally scheduled for Oct. 22, but that date conflicts with a West Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital District meeting so council passed a motion on Tuesday night to ask the Board of Trade to

reschedule it to Oct. 29. An all-candidates forum for school trustee races in Area D and the City of Grand Forks will be held in Grand Forks on Oct. 22. The three seats in the West Boundary and the single trustee from Christina Lake are in by acclamation. As of press time, the possibility of a forum in Big White is unknown.
