Passengers will be able to borrow and download books before hopping on a flight at the Cranbrook Regional International Airport. That’s provided you have a library card. The new Cranbrook Public Library kiosk and Cloud Library gives travellers a choice of a broad range of online resources offered through the library, as well as internet access. The kiosk also includes a book exchange, so travellers can take a book along with them on their travels or leave one for others to enjoy. Passengers with a library card can borrow and download audiobooks and e-books from “Library to Go” and e-magazines from Zinio through the free Wifi connection. The airport will also have a general-use library membership for those who don’t have a card, but it only includes the online borrowing portion of the membership. The kiosk is a joint effort between the library and the airport.
