Human Rights Tribunal rejects smart meter complaint By Tom Fletcher
After losing in court and and before the B.C. Utilities Commission, a citizens’ group opposed to wireless electrical meters has been denied a hearing before the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal. The complaint was brought by a group called Citizens for Safe Technology Society (CSTS), which argued that “electrohypersensi-
tivity” (EHS) is a disability. “I have concluded that there is no reasonable prospect that the complainants will be able to establish that the electromagnetic frequency (EMF) exposure resulting from smart meters results in adverse health consequences,” wrote tribunal member Norman Trerise in the decision not to hold a full hearing. CSTS submitted
that they don’t have to prove this sensitivity exists, because the human rights tribunal has accepted “subjective self-reporting of symptoms” in a previous human rights case involving a Lower Mainland bus driver. CSTS also cited a Prince Edward Island Court of Appeal decision that stated “a person may be ill even though there is little or no objective evidence to
prove it.” BC Hydro said a series of doctors’ notes supplied by the complainants don’t prove the condition is real, because they appear to be based “entirely on the selfdiagnosis of the individual complainants.” BC Hydro has argued that the exposure from periodic wireless meter signals to send electricity consumption data to collection stations is similar to exposure to

BC Hydro said the Human Rights Tribunal doesn’t have jurisdiction over the wireless grid project, and the B.C. Utilities Commission does. The B.C. government’s 2010 Clean Energy Act mandated the wireless grid upgrade, and exempted it from review by the BCUC. But in 2013 the BCUC reviewed the wireless grid project by FortisBC in the Okanagan and Kootenay region, and rejected CSTS submissions that the technology was a health hazard. CSTS argued that BC Hydro’s offer to relocate the wireless meter to another part of the property was not sufficient relief, and charging meter reading fees to those who want to keep their mechanical meter or have a digital meter with the wireless transmission turned off is discrimination against people with a disability.

The Cranbrook RCMP responded to a single Motor Vehicle accident in the early morning hours on Highway 95A near Garry Rd. A witness heard the crash and went looking for the vehicle. After several passes she finally managed to find the vehicle wrapped around a tree. The lone male occupant somehow managed to get out of the wreckage prior to police attendance. The male was taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital and is being treated for nonlife threatening injuries. RCMP are still investigating but believe that speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash.

Clinic for dog behaviour coming to Cranbrook

Karla Shalley practicing one of the Tellington TTouch techniques. Submitted
Karla Shalley, Owner of The Playpen Pet Boarding & Grooming, Sandra Irving and Cheryl King, all Cranbrook pet care workers, experienced Tellington TTouch at the Icelandic Horse Farm in Vernon, B.C. this past July. The ladies came away with a renewed enthusiasm for their own work and new possibilities for the dogs of their community and
their owners. “We saw so many changes from negative interactions between dogs and their owners, to positive after just minutes of instruction” recalls Cheryl. The ladies just knew that they had to invite one of the instructors from the Vernon clinic to offer workshops here in Cranbrook. Kathy Cascade was such a fun energy and easy to learn from. She always had time for everyone and their questions and she was so adaptable to the group and their requirements. We are so lucky that Kathy agreed to come to Cranbrook in October to offer three different workshops. The Playpen Pet Boarding & Grooming is pleased to present Kathy as she offers a clinic for Shy/fearful/timid dogs and a Tellington TTouch: Basics and Beyond for the general public. We have also added a workshop for pet care professionals to give insight into how TTouch can assist in their interactions with animals in

their care. “Participants in the workshops will be astounded by the knowledge they will come away with as we did,” offers Cheryl. “You’ll learn and will be able to build on the fundamentals of TTouch body work, groundwork and observation that address the most common issues dog owners are faced with.” Some of the common
issues in our dogs are inappropriate aggression, separation anxiety, shyness or nervousness, leash pulling, thunder or noise phobia, resistance to grooming, barking and chewing. Based on understanding and respect for our animals this method of adaptive behavior, through an integral approach, reduces stress and tension and builds confidence. It redirects the dog to react in a dif-
ferent way to a situation previously frightening or challenging. In the classes and workshops participants learn: • skill building in techniques of Tellington TTouch • application to specific behaviors • observation skill building-postures , balance, interactions • stress and its relationship to behavior • philosophy and
principles of TTouch as developed by Linda Tellington Jones TTouch creates a partnership built on trust which is nothing magical when you consider the benefits for humans such as therapeutic touch, whether it is massage, acupressure or other hands-on approaches and the feeling of being safe. TTouch is a neurological rehabilitation at its core and in itself, a
deeper, more compassionate way to treat the animal. For more information or to register call Karla at The Playpen at 250 426 4000 or Cheryl at 250 426 0204. All proceeds from these workshops will benefit local animal rescue.

B.C. teachers have voted strongly in favour of ending their strike and returning to work next week. B.C. Teachers’ Federation members voted 86 per cent in favour of a six-year agreement negotiated with the help of mediator Vince Ready this week. About three out of four of the province’s
40,000 teachers voted. “I’m happy with this deal,” said BCTF president Jim Iker. It gives the province’s teachers raises totalling 7.25 per cent over six years, improvements to benefits and a fund to hire hundreds of new teachers each year. Iker said the turnout for the vote was higher than the union’s last two ratification votes. Education Minister Peter Fassbender congratulated teachers on the settlement, which ends a bitter strike that shut schools for two weeks in June and another three weeks this fall. “We can now focus on the path forward,” Fassbender said. “This long-term agreement is an historic opportunity to work together for students – to enhance

their education experience and to support their achievements.” Premier Christy Clark added her thanks on Twitter. “This is a fair, affordable deal that will let us focus on putting students first,” Clark said. Iker said most school districts will reopen Monday, and the ministry has notified superintendents that the school year will not be extended to make up the days lost to the strike. The finance ministry is preparing to send out compensation of $40 per lost student day to parents of students up to age 12. Working to keep a city safe from gangs by Brian Coombs How many times have you heard people complain, usually after they have received a speeding ticket, about the RCMP wasting their time with petty crimes? Speeding tickets, noise violations and littering are just a few examples of what some consider “nuisance” offences. These same people often wonder out loud about how the RCMP choose to spend their tax dollars, with the oft-heard refrain, “I pay your salary!” When gang-related
crime enters a community, any anger towards the practices of the RCMP tend to go out the window as stories emerge of the severity of the crimes involved and the work done by the RCMP to stop the activity and arrest the wrongdoers. A recent story in the Cranbrook Daily Townsman pointed out that after years of intense police work, gang activity has taken a nose-dive. Starting with a shooting at the Sam Steele Hotel in 2009, then the double murder of innocents
Leanne MacFarlane and Jeffrey Taylor in a Mayook cabin, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit stepped in. In 2013, three men were sentenced to terms ranging from five and a half to 12 years because of the investigation. This August, the local RCMP reported that crimes were down in all areas in Cranbrook and Kimberley, with much of the credit going to the drug enforcement unit. Some however, would argue that much of this crime reduction comes from the police going after the “low hanging fruit” of crime—the petty drug dealers. Tom Jones, aka Agent K, the driving
force behind the excellent blog gangstersout. blogspot.ca, has spent years documenting gang activity throughout the province. By documenting news articles related to gang activity throughout the province since 2009, the site allows a look into how a gang enters the community drug market and eventually takes over. “Take Dawson Creek for example. Hells Angels associates from Prince George moved in selling drugs and using the reputation of the big city boys to terrorize the local community. Crack addiction, crime associated with addicts paying for the drugs and addicts getting tortured and murdered
for drug debts. It’s the same MO (modus operandi) across the country let alone the province. In Prince George the police found addicts chained and tortured in crack shack basements for drug debts. The Crew, the Independent Soldiers and the GTS were all selling drugs for the Hells Angels in Prince George,” said Jones. In other words, once a gang comes on the scene, “Ma and Pa” low-key grow-ops rapidly become something else entirely. Regardless of a person’s stance on whether or not drugs should remain illegal and regardless of what they think of so-called “nuisance” offences, the
important thing is having a police presence. Having this presence may mean that there are a lot of speeding tickets issued in the community, but it also means that the city looks a lot less appetizing to a gang looking to set up shop. This idea is illustrated by the recent efforts of the local police and the subsequent drop in crime. The job description we, as a community and as a country, gave to the RCMP was simple—uphold the law of the land. This mandate ranges from petty infractions to murder. By doing their job, the local RCMP help to maintain peace in the area so the rest of us can continue to do our
jobs without fear. This fear can range from the discomfort we feel when sharing the road with a reckless driver or the terror of being an innocent victim of gang-related violence. While it would be difficult to be thankful to the RCMP the next time you get a speeding ticket, try to remember that it is that kind of dayto-day law enforcement that helps keep gangs out of the community. That’s good for all of us. A good resource for more information on the police strategy on gangs is End Gang Life at www.cfseu.bc.ca/en/ end-gang-life

Cranbrook Mitsubishi added philanthopy to a great promotion recently. After purchasing a new vehicle, Danielle St. Jean and Brian Evans were informed that they were the lucky winners of $10,000 from the dealership. The dealership then matched that amount with another $10,000 to the lucky couple to donate to a charity of their choice. The pair decided that the East Kootenay Regional Hospital Psychiatry Unit’s recreation department was the right place for the donation. Congratulations to Danielle and Brian on winning and kudos to Cranbrook Mitsubishi for their generosity. Women’s hockey team aiming to build interest in the game Submitted
The Cranbrook Women’s Learn to Play Hockey Team is back for another season and is on the hunt for ladies interested in learning to play hockey. “A few years ago, we recognized there were a number of ladies who wanted to learn how to skate and play hockey, but who were intimidated by starting out in the faster paced
Women’s League. The concept of an introductory league was born and we’ve tried to continue to build participation and interest,” says Loree Duczek one of the Coordinators of the Cranbrook Women’s Learn to Play Team. “We have ladies who have never had skates on and by the end of the season, they are playing in the scrimmage. It’s amazing to see their progress.”

Mammography Decision Making
Over the last few years I have written several articles on the risks and benefits associated with mammography. The science is very clear that mammograms offer both benefits and risks. Add to this the hopes and fears of people around breast cancer and the topic of mammography becomes both sensitive and complex. It seems to me that it is imperative we have a full understanding of the risks and benefits of mammography so that women can make informed decisions about the procedure. I am so happy to see a study published in the medical journal JAMA on Tuesday calling for more individualized decision making about who should get a mammogram. Most research shows that mammograms modestly reduce the risk of dying of breast cancer. Mammograms also lead to women being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer when the tumour is mild, slow growing and would never cause the patient any harm. The polarity between having your life saved and being wrongly diagnosed and treated highlights the risk every woman faces when

she decides to get a mammogram. The study published Tuesday summarizes more than 50 years of research noting that for every 10,000 women who get regular mammograms the screening saves 5 lives of women in their 40's, 10 lives of women in their 50's and 42 lives of women in their 60's. On the downside, of these same 10,000 women, 5,000 have a false positive leading to repeat testing or biopsy on a healthy breast and 1,900 women are wrongly diagnosed and treated for breast cancer when the tumour would never cause any harm to the woman at all. To summarize, according to the JAMA paper, for every 10,000 women screened, mammography saves 57 lives and leads to 1,900 women being mistakenly diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. These numbers clarify the complexity of making an informed choice about getting a mammogram. The JAMA study calls for more research that will help women navigate this complex issue so that we can reduce the number of women who are harmed through the process of getting a mammogram.

While the focus is on fun in a non-intimidating environment, ladies can look forward to being challenged every week. “We have 4 weeks of power skating, guest coaches who put us through our paces, partner/friend games and scrimmages,” says Duczek. “It’s our favourite night of the week in the winter, and I’d encourage any ladies who’ve considered playing but have never taken the leap, to join us for the 2014/2015 season.”

National Forest Week 2014 September 21 to 27
“Sunrise in the Forest” is this year’s National Forest Week theme
Established circa 1920 as Forest Fire Prevention Week, the intention was to encourage greater public awareness towards Canada’s forests. At the time, there was no apparent shortage of trees for indus-
trial expansion – the greatest threat came from forest fires, due mainly to human causes. Since then National Forest Week, as it was renamed in 1967, has evolved to encompass the many and varied human
and environmental aspects of Canada’s forest resources – past, present and future. Although special activities are promoted across Canada, National Forest Week remains first and foremost a challenge to
individual Canadians to learn more about their forest heritage and support greater recognition of this valuable resource. National Forest Week is observed annually during the last full week of September,
Sunday through Saturday. National Tree Day is observed on the Wednesday of National Forest Week. The 2014 National Forest Week theme is “Sunrise in the Forest” This year’s theme recognizes:
• A new day is dawning across Canada’s forests – one with great opportunity and great rewards. • Today’s forestry is high-tech, diverse, innovative, and green. • Be part of the responsible stew-
ardship of our most important renewable resource. • Wake up to a career in the forest sector – where bright minds make the future brilliant!
Graduating high school? A career in forestry can be rewarding
The Association of BC Forest Professionals wants to spread the message that a career in forestry may be the right choice for those coming out of high school. Forestry is: the practice of using ecological principles to manage all forest resources including trees, wildlife, water, soils, fish and biodiversity. Forestry professionals manage all these resources in a manner that balances ecological, economic and social values. A forestry career is a great choice for those who, love the outdoors, excel in the sciences, are interested in the environment and are team players. Forest professionals travel the province by truck, ATV, boat, helicopter or float plane and get paid to hike in parts of BC that tourists pay a premium to visit. You are just as likely to find forest professionals working behind a computer, in a boardroom or in a research laboratory as you are working in the woods. Gone are the days of horse-logging and bushwhacking through the forest. Forestry is high tech and forest professionals use mapping tools like GIS and GPS to create a picture of the forest ecosystem that can be used to develop integrated forest management plans. They also use satellite imagery to monitor forest fires and pests like the mountain pine beetle. The forest sector has a variety of jobs and forest professionals earn above average salaries One in five jobs in BC is related to forestry, making forestry BC’s biggest employer. BC
will always need qualified forest professionals to look after its 60 million hectares of forests and tackle current issues like the mountain pine beetle and global warming. There is a wide variety of jobs available for forest professionals. Check out some examples of forestry jobs. In 2011, 56% percent of Registered Professional Foresters (RPFs) made between $61,000 and 90,000 annually, while 56% of RFTs earn $51,000 to
$70,000 annually (2011 Report on Members’ Compensation & Benefits). The average salary in BC is $860.57/ week or $44,750 annually (Welcome BC). Getting Prepared for your Career Take Relevant High School Courses Many post-secondary programs have high school math and science prerequisites. The exact entry requirements will depend on which postsecondary school you wish to attend. More information can be
found on the websites’ of the post-secondary schools. As a general rule, if
you are considering a career in forestry, the

estimate of volume, quality, species composition and value of the timber resource. SASs make use of silviculture plans and prescriptions and other information to conduct or confirm the stratification of a survey unit. Associate membership is voluntary and a postsecondary education is not required. Those hoping to become associate members must have years of cruising or silviculture surveying experience and pass an exam in order to be accredited by the ABCFP. Timber cruising and silviculture surveying are both entry level jobs so you can get hired right out of high school. Since these jobs entail some professional forestry work, a registered member (RPF or RFT) has to provide some supervision. If you enjoy these jobs, you may want to continue on to college or university to become an RPF or RFT. Special Practice Permits We offer three types of special permits to engage in the practice of professional forestry in BC on a temporary basis: (1)Limited Licences to practise; (2) permits for Transferring Professional Foresters (TPF); and (3) permits for Visiting Professional Foresters. Natural Resource Professionals Natural Resource Professionals (NRPs) have education in forestry conservation, management of renewable natural resources, and landscape and local level planning for aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.

National Forest Week 2014 September 21 to 27 An update on the Community Forest The Cranbrook Community Forest Society gave a presentation to the Cranbrook Rotary Club in August. Below are highlights of the presentation. Submitted In addition to a mixture of forest, grassland and lakes, providing a home to an abundance of birds, waterfowl, deer, coyotes, ground squirrels, and other wildlife species, as well as amazing wildflowers and plants, the Community Forest has several identified & registered archeological sites at various locations in the forest containing cultural heritage materials that many people do not even realize are there! Last year we completed a four-year mapping project that culminated in the production of a colourful, pocket sized trail map with lots of information about the forest ecology and history and new updated trail routes. Local businesses have been very supportive in the promotion of the map by stocking it for sale in their locales. 2013 also was the year new breakaway trail signs were installed throughout the entire forest. New cedar trail signs to be mounted on trees will be installed on some of the more heavily used trails this summer. A lot of the older cedar signs are very weathered and hard to read. Trail work has also been completed to prevent erosion and sloughing of side slopes on some of the “at risk” trails, and surface grip treatments were installed on bridge decks. All of the contractors we have hired for CCFS projects have been local businesses! In July we hosted a “weed pull” led by the East Kootenay Invasive Plant Council, as an educational event which also resulted in 10 big garbage bags of invasive weeds pulled and removed from the area around Sylvan Lake. The North American O r i e n t e e r i n g
Championships were held in the Eager Hills area in 2010. Over 600 participants and families from all around the world attended this event. The CCF was also the venue for the Western Canadian Orienteering championships, and, the International O r i e n t e e r i n g Organization is considering Cranbrook as the site for a World Youth Championship. On September 7th this year the BC Long Distance Championships will be held at Eager Hills. All these types of
events attract visitors to our area, adding to Cranbrook’s economy. A big challenge for us has been to educate and encourage users to use the pet waste stations, located at the three main trail entrances to the forest, and clean up after their dogs. Thanks to the Playpen, who donated the sign posts and disposable bags, we have a solution to the dog poop inevitably encountered on trails, we just have to keep persisting in our efforts to get people to responsibly pick up after their pets. Participating in local Farmers Markets has given us a chance to promote the forest and let people know it is not just an area that
is out there as a free place to recreate, but it is actively managed, looked after, and protected by a committed group of volunteers operating as a non-profit society & in conjunction with the Ministry of Forests, continues to pursue improvements and educational opportunities. As you know it takes many hundreds of volunteer hours to be successful in providing opportunities and resources like this to the community. Environmental damage caused by the illegal use of off road vehicles and dirt bikes in the forest has been a concern for many years. The Society has an ongoing security contract from
June 1 to October 31 where the road is monitored and checked daily and the north entrance gate is locked overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
daily to prevent unauthorized vehicle access. Still, there are individuals who continue to abuse the use of the forest, causing environ-

Flathead prescribed burning Submitted
A prescribed fire is being planned in the Elder Creek drainage of the Flathead River Valley to take place between Sept. 19 and Oct. 1, 2014, weather conditions permitting. This controlled fire is being implemented as part of the Ecosystem Restoration Program developed by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and the Ministry of Environment. The primary goal of this prescribed fire is to restore high-elevation grizzly bear habitat through achieving the following objectives: * Stimulate black huckleberry production by reducing the lodgepole pine crown closure. * Improve white pine recruitment by maintaining seed trees on site, improving the seed bed and decreasing competition. * Reduce ground fuels as a method to decrease the likelihood of ecologically destructive fires. * Decrease the canopy cover to regain a parklike structure. Effects from smoke on surrounding communities will be minimal due to the remoteness of the area. Prescribed fires may only be ignited on days when the forecast for the venting index is “good” or better. All prescribed fires must comply with the Environmental Management Act’s open burning smoke control regulation, which helps minimize the amount of smoke that’s produced. A Wildfire Management Branch Initial Attack crew will be on hand to ensure the fire is contained to the intended burn area. To report a wildfire or unattended campfire, call 1 800 663-5555 tollfree or *5555 on a cellphone.

En-Kata Choir coming soon to Cranbrook A message of faith and fearlessness is coming from the continent of Africa and it is spreading right here in North America. This fall, the En-Kata choir from Tanzania, East Africa, is sharing songs and stories about the awesome power of God at work in their community. The ‘Why the Fear?’ Tour 2014 will be at the Alliance Church in Cranbrook on Friday, September 26, with their moving performance. Choir member Naitapuaki explains the title of the tour: “In our lives, we have challenges, but since our God is with us, Why Such Fear?” Her own story is an example of the hope and good news coming from a continent that in the West is more often known for having to battle challenges of poverty and disease. “I was a Maasai girl who was married off young, the fourth wife of an old man,” Naitapuaki recalls. Left widowed and alone to care for her children, she saw
the miraculous change. “My children needed an education and God helped us build a school.” This is the fourth tour of the En-Kata choir through North America; their nine week journey will take the Maasai from Washington State to Virginia with stops in several US States and Canadian Provinces in between. The choir tours are the main fundraiser for the construction of a Maasai-led elementary school in Obili, Tanzania. Money collected on previous tours has enabled the Maasai to build classrooms and bathrooms as well as a complex for teacher housing. A grand opening celebration for the school was held in June of 2011 and kindergarten classes started in March 2012. The number of children wishing to enroll in the school, however, far exceeds the room available in the three classrooms built so far. “The ’Why the Fear?’ tour will help the school to expand its

capacity, and provide the graduating kindergarten and Grade 1 students with classrooms to move into,” explains En-Kata tour coordinator Jeremy Feser. The musical presentation will feature songs written by the Maasai and performed in both
their native language of Maa and the official language of Swahili, interspersed with testimonies by the performers. The En-Kata choir is a project in partnership between Pamoja Ministries and MAPED, an indigenous Maasai organization in

Tanzania that combines the salvation message with issues of social justice. Together, the two groups have created several CDs of the choir’s performances as well as music video and a stunning picture book showcasing one com-
munity of the Maasai. These items will also be available at the event. The ‘Why the Fear?’ Tour 2014 will be at the Alliance Church in Cranbrook on Friday, September 26, at 7:30 pm with a celebration of hope and faith, inviting
the audience to learn more about the fascinating culture of the Maasai and to become a part of an African success story.

Literacy impacts lives Submitted
4 OUT OF 5 PEOPLE WITH DIABETES DIE OF HEART DISEASE.
Thousands of British Columbians do not possess the literacy skills needed to succeed, impacting everything from healthcare to employment. In British Columbia, 40 per cent of adults have difficulty reading a newspaper, filling out a work application form, reading a bus schedule, or understanding a lease and close to 50 per cent of adults do not have the skills necessary to calculate a tip, create a budget or understand credit card interest rates. Even more concerning is the fact that almost four in 10 youths aged 15 have insufficient reading skills and 16 per cent of B.C. youths are not graduating from high school. These statistics have serious implications on society, as literacy rates impact every aspect of our lives: healthcare, education, crime rates, employment and economic status. This month, Black Press and the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) are joining forces to raise funds and awareness about the importance of literacy with the 4th

Annual Reach a Reader campaign. The campaign will culminate with community leaders and volunteers hitting the streets across the Columbia Basin and Boundary to distribute special editions of local papers and collect donations in support of community-based literacy programs. The Reach a Reader campaign coincides with Decoda Literacy Solutions’ inaugural Literacy is Life Campaign; a provincewide fundraising and awareness campaign designed to create a new, modern understanding of literacy and raise funds to ensure that community-based
literacy programs across British Columbia can support the people who depend on them. CBAL’s executive director, Ali Wassing, says “We have been gratified to see the high level of support and enthusiasm for CBAL’s annual partnership with Black Press on the Reach a Reader campaign. This fall, in tandem with the launch of Decoda’s Literacy is Life provincial campaign and the hugely successful Raise-aReader campaign in the Lower Mainland we look forward to a banner year for literacy.” For more information visit cbal.org.

Doors and windows Changing doors and windows is one of a home owner’s biggest maintenance investments, apart from replacing a roof. Style, comfort, and price are the three determining factors when it comes to choosing new doors and windows. Style Firstly, let the overall style of your home guide you. If the house has a rustic look, you may want to opt for windows with small panes. If your house has stone siding and natural materials prevail, you’ll probably prefer wood. the model of window has an impact on the look: • sliding window: two superimposed frames that slide from left to right or both ways • hung window: two superimposed frames that slide upwards • casement window: opens with a crank • awning window: the frame pivots up and down ComFort the insulation a window provides is a major factor where the overall comfort of your home is concerned. Consumers can choose double or triple glazing. With triple glazing, the third glass panel reduces heat loss even more and reduces condensation and noise.

Professional Installation Done Right Unique Windows is pleased to announce we have 2 of only 18 InstallationMaster installers in all of BC
n No matter how much you spend on top of the line windows and doors, they won’t achieve peak performance if they are installed incorrectly n InstallationMasters certification lets you know that the contractor has installation experience and has been trained on the proper techniques. n There is a lot to know about properly installing windows and doors. Window manufacturers’ installation instructions can’t be expected to provide complete details on how to handle the hundreds of different surrounding walls and job site conditions found in the field. n All Weather Windows was the first manufacturer in Canada to adopt the InstallationMasters Program because we know that an incorrectly installed window or door cannot achieve peak performance and will result in numerous problems, leaving dissatisfied customers and ongoing service related problems.
